Either way, "He who remains" acts like what is happening has happened before and will happen again which is why the script he is reading from already has the words on it before the words are spoken, but he finds it interesting to see how far past the "end" of the script he can make it go. Essentially, it's like it's a time loop, the only problem is you don't know the journey in between it all.

His belief in his own self-preservation is fueled by the same paranoia He Who Remains echoed in Loki. Kang the Conqueror wants his own vision of the Sacred timeline, to be the Prime Kang with ultimate power over his fate and the timeline itself, same as He Who Remains. That's why the Counsel fear him, he's the one who started the Multiversal War, but at the same time, he's the only one who can see that the incursions and Prime Timeline will come into existence again. This will probably be fleshed out in Loki S2, as I don't believe Kang died in Ant-Man, I feel we'll be seeing Loki tracking down Kang the Conqueror throughout time before his eventual exile
I think strange would be the first one to join him I mean you see in M.o.M that he is no good hero and a hypocrit. He will try to save everyone no matter what he has to do. Well, the villain is only half right. Perhaps they are doing the right thing in the grand scheme of things, but they are doing the wrong thing to achieve it. They are after all, still a villain. They are doing evil things, even if there's a good reason to do it. I think villain motivations are important to look at though, and they can elevate a movie if executed well. Villains who are sympathetic can be more compelling too, since they aren't just some comically evil being, but they are a real person making bad choices, but they have a good reason to make those choices. It doesn't exonerate them, or mean they are right. But it does make you understand their point of view and why they would do evil things.
