For anyone wondering what his actual score is I have deduced that it is a 5.8/10. The method at which I came to this conclusion is as follows: Assuming 1 straw kills one turtle and you have 9 turtles and 3.8 straws that means you have 5.2/9 of the turtles left which in decimal form is 0.57777 repeating which can be rounded up to 0.58 for simplicity. You then convert this back to Fraction form Which is how you come up with the score 5.8/10

You are correct, it takes more than a tap to trigger those types of contact naval mines. They have what are known as “hertz horns” (the spiky thing) and they trigger when a glass vile inside of them breaks due to impact

okay so, he WAS correct when he said the stuff about the mines, where they explode when pressure is applied to the pins, but... that is a sunken battleship. sunken battleships typically dont have torpedo primer removed from the torpedoes, which means they'd still go boom, and since those mines are also active, they go boom too.

Apparently the mines only go off if one of the spikes gets crushed. It’s full of acid that flows into the mine when the spike gets crushed. The acid completes a battery inside the mine and it explodes.

You’re right about the mines except for they are extremely unstable so sometimes they randomly go off for no reason hence they don’t really do anything with them they just mark it as a no entry zone because they can go off at anytime due to the water damage

Combat engineer here, as far as mines go although you are correct they are supposed to be triggered by the "stick" being hit rather than the mine itself most mines will go off if pressure is applied to them on a significant degree, I only really know about landmines and not sea however I assume it's similar.
Ur right about the mines, but since they might have been down there for years, they could be very sensitive to any amount of pressure.
