How to Remove Valve Cover on a Volvo D13 with VEB.
Tools:
14mm socket
12mm socket
10mm socket
8mm socket
7mm socket
5mm hex/Allen key
pry bar for some clamps and gasket
ratchet or power tools
oil resistant sealer for reinstallation

I have a 2015 volvo truck d13. I have a green plastic piece that separates my upper and lower valve cover gaskets . My upper and lower valve cover gaskets is what i need to replace. Is it still the same procedure ?

I just had my injectors redone and my engine brake stopped working. I wonder if they left my actuator unplugged?
What kind of sealant to use when we put the valve cover gasket back on?
Engine starts shaking/vibrating when switching Jake brake to 3rd the highest position.... works fine on 1st and 2nd positions.
Any ideas?

Thanks for the vid. I'm being told that there are two gaskets and a plastic spacer. Is this accurate? I don't see the spacer and two gaskets in yours. I want to replace the gaskets but I'd like to know ahead of time before I take it apart and don't have the parts I need.
I think after 2015 or so they use 2 peice valve cover. It's obvious just by looking without taking it apart. The 2 peice valve cover gaskets I think are only sold with the cover, Or they are very expensive like $250 each range, can't quite remember but maybe is different now.

paulcat9 No I don't, to do it you need to remove transmission, starter, air compressor, etc whatever is connected to rear cover, you will probably need new rear cover if gear was bad enough to mess up compressor. Do you know why my d13 is leaking oil on the back of the engine?
You might need to replace the gasket an put new sealant on the back of the engine, check the 6:12 min of this video.
the most common causes of leaks at the back of d13 engine is valve cover gasket thats the cheapest, rear upper timing cover, or the worst is timing gear plate
I had the injectors replaced but now the. Engine brake does not work.
Could it be that the mechanic forgot to connect the electrical part?
It's possible if it stopped working right after the job. Check if connected and check if o rings are on securely and correctly

What is torque for the valve cover bolts?
Luis Guillen 15lb for bolts or 29lb if you have studs
