    Discuss the challenges of Lithium Polymer batteries.
    00:35 When should you charge?
    The first challenge in taking care of Lithium Polymers is knowing when to charge them.
    01:24 LiPo is temperature sensitive.
    You should avoid charging when the battery is below 10ºC/50ºF.
    01:50 Storage
    This may be the area where most problems occur.
    02:42 Conclusion

    Greetings. Which charger would you recommend for a 120mAh lithium polymer battery? I’m wanting to charge AKG Y100 earphones.

    So when battery is below 30% it's time to charge?
    When it's charged to 100% should we disconnect power cable?

    Can you please tell me if it's okay to keep my laptop plugged in all the time if it has a lipo battery?

      if you have an option on your computer to block the recharge at 70 or 80% yes it is possible. but if the battery remains charged at 100% continuously, it will degrade faster and will be ruined before a battery set at 70-80% continuously

      Doesn't matter. The chemical is the same.

    • @sarjitkaur2205
      @sarjitkaur2205 Před 9 měsíci

      Does matter because it uses the same chemistry. So charge from 20-80

    I hate how much you have to baby LiPo batteries...
    I just found a really nice laptop to buy & then I read that it has a LiPo battery, I just can't deal with having to be extra cautious about it going over 80%, especially since I use my laptop plugged in at home.
    *ps.* Are LiPo batteries more dangerous than Li-ion? I've read a bunch about their packaging being more fragile than Li-ion & if that packaging gets damaged it'll catch fire or spread chemicals.

      I want to ask this same question.
      is it safe to charge Li-po cell phone to charge overnight?

      @jepjep7373 Před 2 lety +2

      @@MichaelShroud google says it's not safe for your Li-Po battery to be left charging overnight. It's better not to fully charge it regularly.
