Aber als ich es das erste Mal gelesen habe (oder eher beim zweiten Lesen) hab ich aus Neugier halt auf Seite 394 geblättert und war überrascht, dass sich Lupin genau da verwandelt. Ich dachte, das sei Absicht und hielt es auch für möglich, dass die von Snape genannte Seitenzahl in jeder Edition so angepasst wird, dass man bei der Stelle mit Lupin landet.

The Hungarian voice actor sounds the closest to Rickman . Russian and French sound like purring cats. Portuguese, Basque and Catalan are incredibly pretty sounding languages. Persian sounds like a spell
in the Greek version he actually says page 308 instead. im guessing it's so the lip syncing matches better since "394" has a very long name in Greek.
The number changed in a few other languages as well. In Danish, they transposed the last two digits so they went to page 349 instead to save a syllable.
They could skip that “please” 😂😂😂

Maybe it would be better to put related languages together? For example, all Slavic ones, French and Canadian French, Spanish ones, Italian, Portuguese... It is interesting to see similarities.

Yeah in Danish they changed it to page 349 too. Probably because in Danish the way we pronounce jumpers is different so it basically is like saying page 3 hundred nine and forty instead of 3 hundred ninety four. It matches the lip sync and syllables better.

It was most likely done to match mouth movement but it's hilarious how Snape says 308 instead of 394 in Greek.
In the Greek translation, Snape orders them to open to page 308. This may be due to the number 8 having two "o" vocals in greek, making it quite similar to the "o" vocal of four, so that Snape's motion would somewhat match with what was said.
Hey I just found no. four (cztery) in polish completely dosen't feat Snape's lips in that moment. Cause it have two syllabs.
It would be much better with 3 (trzy) when it's only one syllab just like in english four. And also if we want to sey it, we have to shape our lips similar way.
But I was thinking it was forbidden to change such words in translations. And as you just did it, we could do it as well. Eh.. 🙄

And Flemish is not a seperate language. Its name is Belgian Dutch. It is closer to Dutch then Canadian French to French French and Portugese from Portugal to Portugese from Brazil.

Which other "translations" are wrong?
As a Korean, when I hear Japanese, the similar sounding words from the same Chinese characters are sometimes so surprising cause the two languages are by no means mutually intelligable.
Korean: 교과서 394쪽을 펴
Japanese: 教科書の394ページを開く
Both translate to "Open page 394 of the textbook."
'Textbook' in both languages are said /Gyo-gwa-seo/. Half of the '394' from the Japanese Snape sounds the same /sam-baek-gyu.../ It's/sam-baek-gu-ship-sa/ in Korean. The sentence structure looks like it can do a direct 1 on 1 translation as well.
And also 394 in Cantonese and Thai. Sound really similar😂. In Thai Sam-roi-gao-sib-see.
