1.Mac for your question about Cochin/Kochi
The government decided to change the name of Cochin to Kochi in 1996. The new name Kochi is supposedly taken from Malayalam ( regional language of Kerala ) Kochu azhi which means Small lagoon.
2.The breakfast you had it's not hoppers it's different from that. It's called Masala Dosa. Dosa is the crispy pancake which is made of fermented rice and black gram. The masala is basically your potato stuffing inside of the dosa.
3. In Kerala and Srilanka people drink warm water because it's believed to help in better digestion after you have a heavy Indian meal, also boiling water kills any bacteria found although the water is fresh water sourced. Also in some local restaurants in Kerala you may find a pink coloured warm water which is again herbal - a bark of tree is added to water and boiled.
4. You should have opted for Appams instead of Naan because Appams are local Kerala staple for breakfast and dinners. The hoppers you mentioned of Srilanka is the same thing
Appam/ Aapams = hoppers of srilanka.

I feel Tamil Nadu is a lot closer to srilanka especially in terms of food. The reason I saw this is kothu of Srilanka is eaten in TN and there is a Tamil population in Srilanka, especially Jaffna area. Odiya kool and some food eaten by Tamil folks in Srilanka is so tasty. Of course Kerala too for landscape and coconut 🥥 usage.

In Kerala almost all the foods are same like Sri lankan foods. Eg: Siring hoppers, piddu, Appam ect ....and using coconut milk for curries.

Was a resident of Kochi for 7 years though i am from one of the Eastern States of India. The best city to live in according to me and love Kerala in General.

There are many provinces you must visit .Rajasthan ,Uttarakhand Himachal Pradesh .In Rajasthan,you must visit Jaipur,udaipur and jaisalmer .In uttarakhand,you must go mussoorie,Haridwar(Hindus holy city) .In Himachal Pradesh,you must tour Manali,Dharamshala and spiti .
He is currently in Rajasthan…and he is well aware about the good spots in India…he was here 8 years ago.

Food looks great! The bread with potato is the aloo paratha. Aloo is potato. Aloo paratha is quite a common dish in the North. The other dish you ate which looked like a crepe is Masala Dosa. Dosa is made with rice and lentil batter. You can have it plain or can put potato inside. There are several varieties. You eat by breaking it into smaller portions and dipping it in sambar and coconut chutney. These are great combos

please visit Ranakpur Jain temple and Kumbhalgarh Fort near Udaipur.
Ranakpur Jain temple is best architecture remaining in North India. the temple has 1000 columns with intricate details. the audacious architect built it such way that if you remove one column the entire Temple must come down. that too was done at a time when other parts of India was under foreign rule and thousands of temple were getting destroyed. its over 600 years old but still looks like it was built yesterday.
Kumbhalgarh Fort has the second longest wall in the world after Great Wall of China.

Oh WOW Mac... The Drain view of the Ramada Hotel are just mesmerizing .. I love it 🥰 a very beautiful hotel... loved it's pool & that is on the river... the tropical & interior designs are gorgeous... great service... oh wow that short came out so clean I remember how it was & how you got it fixed but after laundry it looked brand new.. good job Ramada Laundry staff...I see you had your haircut ... yum yum am a chocolate person & that is one looks so yumy delicious ,,,, I enjoyed the video 😻

this is actually your 3rd time in India your already seen some of the nation when you visited the hunza Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan which originally belong to India. these regions were part of Indian civilization for thousands of years. event after partition in 1947 regions given to India. but later in the same year the neighbouring country in there and took that piece of land. if you look at the map of India from the ancient times to now those places always included in Indian Maps. Gilgit Baltistan is India's land illegally occupied by others.

What you had in Sri Lanka was hoppers the one you ate for brekky was a masala dosa both batters are different hoppers are made out of rice flour and coconut milk dosa is made with rice and a lentil by the name of ulundu
Hopper is also in South India. We call it appam. Even the boy suggested dinner was appam ( Hopper) only but don't know why he not bought it.
You should be trying parotta and chili beef, or parotta and beef fry. You need to try Kerala fish curry (dark red color) and rice. Also need to try the fried fish. Chicken fry, roast(beef, chicken, lamb). Many types of chicken curry (each region has its style), masala dosa,
