This girl sure nails it. I've been married to a Pinay for 37 years, and everything she says is spot on. You ask her where are you, and she will always answer "here" not in the kitchen or wherever, just here. Also, where is so and so? She will answer "there" with no direction or range, just there. Another one is eating with their fingers (kamayan style) after being married to me and living many years abroad she still eats kamayan, but only at home. In company, she will always use utensils. As to their infatuation with white skin. They go overboard in protecting their skin from sun exposure. As has been stated above most of us Foreigners prefer brown skin, it makes no difference to them, they will still avoid the sun. Still, considering the all above, I would not swap her for a white girl: been there and done that - 'once bitten, twice shy'. I'm sure many of you think the same. Pinays beat them all hands down.

Also, being overweight is a sign of wealth to them. In America we admire those who work hard outdoors, or are just tanned and fit, and play sports outside.

Back quite a number of years ago we took a quick trip up to Chicago Chinatown with our two girls, who were in their mid-teens at the time. They brought a friend, Jim, who had never been to Chinatown or had much experience in the Asian community. It was mid January so the temperature was almost zero, which meant the windows were all rolled up tightly in the car. Jim was bracketed in the back seat between the two girls. While in Chinatown they picked up a package of dried squid. They spent the trip home passing back and forth across Jim as they ate it. Even Mrs. Rick thought the odor was getting pretty strong in the car. Jim was about ready to pass out by the time we eventually got home. He later wound up a missionary in China and has spent several decades there. I like to think that trip influenced his calling. 🤣🤣

Every time I go home all I want to eat is authentic Filipino food. I try to stay away from all the fast food because I can get that in SoCal. Not much into selfie unless I’m on vacation with someone . Great video brings back fond child memories.

Never run to family and friends talking about issues you have with your partner or post about it. Always keep it between the two of you and resolve it. This shows maturity as well. Telling others your business could make family and friends think badly of your partner or dislike them interfering in your relationship over something that you both could have resolved especially when you both still love each other or should love each other. 💯

My hubby bought a pinoy culturebook and studied b4 coming to PI. The moment he saw my tatay(father) he did the " Mano po" gesture ( blessing by putting elderly hand on your forehead) which caught my tatay off guard and everybody start laughing. He was so embarrassed. I told him u did good. Earned him a Brownie pt. Haha.
My first job in u.s. I was the only Asian. A guy coworker asked me where the copy papers are at. I pointed to him with my mouth and he started gesturing kissing me back. Then I realized why is he blowing me kisses. To this date I think he thought I had a thing for him.
My boys now they're grown, are stillmaking fun of my word " Ano".
Which I noticed using a lot lately cuz I'm getting old and forgetful.
We celebrated our 30th anniversary and my hubby is still trying to analyze, study, research with " lambing" & " tampo"
He'll say I'm making lambing & ur just ignoring me cuz u got tampo on me. Or He'll used it against me saying do u have tampo on me thats why ur giving me the silent treatment? I'll say yes and tell him what he'd done, He'll say but I'm just making lambing. "Hay naku" is his favorite expression 😅🤣😂🤯🤯

I think you missed an important piece of advise to your viewers. Coming from a poor family, we were always told to clean our plate. Eat all you want, but never waste any food. The first time I visited a Filipino family, and was invited to join the meal, I naturally cleaned my plate. Immediately they were wanting to heap more food on my plate. I didn't want to be rude, so I tried to eat all of that as well. I didn't know until later I should have left a bit of everything I enjoyed, but if I cleaned my plate, that said i wanted more. Maybe this isn't the way things are now, but it was when I was in the Philippines.

I can understand why Filipinas wouldn't want it though, since darker skin is associated with being poorer. Good real early morning to you Rubeauti. Thank you very much for your information.
I was really surprised about all the whitening for the skin there. People hear the United States would set out for hours in the Sun just to get your bronze beauty skin color.
I have been through mostly of what you said except for I get a lot of pictures of food.
And when they're drinking hard liquor they use the same glass for everyone. Those two things I always wonder about.
🙏🏼 Again God bless you and your family Rubeauti. (Ricky)===:::

Hi Rubeauti, I had a few big laughs with this episode. I spent independence day with thousands of Filipino's this Saturday and saw everything that you talked about. I saw really short women walking around with huge hats which was funny all by itself but the other peculiarities you mentioned are really familiar to me too. Hilarious! My girlfriend's name is Marites but she's a real anti-chismosa. She does however tell me how some other Filipina's tsismis though. And the jealousy amongst the materialistic women... Unbelievable!

I knew already about the Lip pointing, since i live also in South America and there they do the same.

Shoes left outside is a widespread custom throughout Asia and is a very wise habit given the environment especially during the wet season but to keep disease out of the inner sanctum of the home. Eating with your hands adds the pleasurable sensory texture of the food but as a Westerner I never do this even when everyone else does. Exposure to sunlight is extreme in the tropics and averyone but especially Caucasians should take such precautions but I love the darker skin of Filipina women! Taking selfies is not just the only things Filipinas take pic of.....food also!

My wife brought the shoe tradition to our home over 3 decades ago. If a visitor doesn't take their shoes off no big deal, but we had better not try it. She does encourage us to wear slippers inside however, but those slippers never go outside.

    😎👍
    🇺🇸
We eat a lot of foods with our hands but it's usually larger foods. We also call it ' finger foods'.
The picture taking can be super annoying.
I remember taking my girl for a drive in the mountains. Every time I would look at her. She would be videoing me driving or taking selfies constantly. Instead of enjoying the scenery, she would be playing with her phone.
What's the point of taking her someplace new if she never saw it?
Needless to say. That relationship didn't work out.
    Cheers.
    Keep up the great work.
    😁✌️
