It was awesome for Henson to reach out. He's a great builder and a nice guy. Bob is close to home and has always went the extra mile for you guys. Not to mention what you've accomplished with his SBC's is impressive. Bob kicks ass.

Glad to see Bob is helping out with the motor and the team is focused on getting ALL the race cars back to 100%! I have this same conversation with my father in law, he works hard to support his family and rarely gets to do much just for him. Take that Malibu racing if that's what you want to do this weekend, gotta give yourself a little for all you've given to others!

When I saw the Mallory fly I asked how did they drill it. Its supposed to be drilled into the side of the Bob weight and pressed in. Not on the outside of the Bob where it can fly out like it did. I'm glad to see everyone pull together and knock out some hard work on the truck and the cars. I love all the channels and getting to see the progress. Thanks for the update and good luck to you all.

I understand yall wish no ill will against Box performance. But a mistake like this...in a sport like this...thus.... can seriously cost someone their life. They lied to yall also. It's pretty amazing watching this family's chemistry. Old man and Billy have it out forcing Billy to grow up some. Then Billy's growth forces the old man to grow some too to keep up. They build on each other like they build their cars.

Sounds like an awesome plan to fix the motor. Bob will make sure it’s great. Ask Cleetus about bad weekends with high dollar budgets. You guys do wonders with you budget, it’s downright inspiring.
Cleetus does things back to front and is heavey handed and does not do preventative requirments or maintaince to things going wrong..
Also he has not put in enough effort to the blazer to get it to stop standing up so George can stop smashing it to pieces, but the views is what pays the bills so he does not care..
SME is the only time Cleets is doing it right apart from forgetting to put fluids into the gearbox..
@@Cent51 that’s because Cleetus’s cars take Top priority over the Blazer. As for Cleetus’s Priority List goes: George’s blazer takes a back seat to mullet, Ruby and other things. Besides That Blazer wheelied so High and slamming down was George’s fault for holding the pedal down too long and not letting out of it. U can’t stand one straight up and let plumb off the throttle it’s gonna slam down. I know it has a past of that but if you’re gonna drag a horribly designed car 🚗 for drag racing you need to learn how to pedal it & George is no master at that, he’s still wet behind the ears. I think anyone sinking a ton of money into a blazer, Tahoe, ford Explorer, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler or any kind of off road type SUV 🚙 for drag racing is crazy. It’s just like flushing Money down the toilet 🚽 anyway. They’re a terrible design aerodynamically for drag racing, they’re better at off roading or mud slinging events, but not drag racing. Every one you see at these drag races might win one once in a while, but they never dominate! Because they’re a horrible design type vehicles for the drag strip & Cleetus Knows this but yet he continues to let George waste time and money on that Rag. I’m a Chevy man , and old school MOPAR’s also. But It’s the same as throwing a pile of money into the commode and crapping on it and flushing it down the drain. George Would be better off finding him a low to the ground Camaro, Chevelle, corvette, Nova, or even a El Camino like Cleetus has. George definitely is a beginner on the drag strip who don’t have any experience at all in pedaling a car that will wheelie. If he’s gonna hold the pedal to the floor when it’s coming up & lift off the pedal and let it slam down, then they may as well put him some 20 foot long wheelie bars on the back so he can’t keep destroying stuff !

I say get rid of the Blazer and get something that has the aerodynamics of building a drag car. Because it’s certainly not that year model Blazer with a Rookie driver. Plus it would be cheaper
$$$$$$ on Cleetus’s business not to use that Goofy looking Blazer on the track. Just my professional opinion 🤷🏻♂️! But maybe they’re tearing it up and making failure with it for video content ??? But Cleetus is certainly not encouraging George and his crew to build him something he can be competitive with. Maybe Cleet don’t want the Glory spotlight on no one but him ??? Sure seems that way 🤷🏻♂️
@@CCRider5312 I say get George into a car that’s more manageable. He’s not a drag racer. He’s the court jester. They’re going to get him hurt or kilt. You can’t put some goof off the street in a 1000+ hp drag car and expect great things.
@@Cent51 they do preventative maintenance people that don't race like we do typically don't understand how hard it is to go as fast as Cleetus does in such a heavy car that's why it caused so much damage he was giving it everything to move an almost 4k car to go try and go 6s with an LS once he went big block he went fast without barely leaning on it.. he's got way way way more cars to worry about and businesses to run 24/7 too.. people from the comments will never truly understand what it takes

During times like this, you definitely find out who truly has your back. God bless uncle Terry, uncle Bob and everyone else that has offered help. It’s amazing how this family is so close to the hearts of so many people, most of which have never even met them in person. Times like this make you realize how much you really care for them. It’s not all about racing, there’s so much more to this family. God bless them and continue to keep them safe.

It’s so good after what has occurred, to see billy sitting in your shop with the truck on the lift and uncle Bucko in his usual uncle Bucko grumpiness and billy perks up, laughs, and says we’re having an great day!

I love to see the two of y’all back together in the shop. My dad and I worked together for 16 years, I felt that I needed to go my own way for a couple of years for it to only lead me back to working with him. The time away made me a lot more independent and smarter. My dad reminds me so much of you, we both work for Dodge, he so old school and of course I’m the one who has had to learn all the electronic side of the newer vehicles. Mr Bill I absolutely enjoy watching your videos and learning from you guys.
I hope you all come back to ORP sometime, that’s my local track and have been there watching and learning from my father for the last 25+ years. Really glad to hear how much you enjoyed coming here and I’ll be there next time. I only missed because of my nephews funeral.

I haft to commend you on not bashing the engine builder never does any good to go in that direction just move on get the car fixed and get back racing. You know what you saw after tearing the motor down so there it is. That’s why I love your show and family!! Main thing Billy did not get hurt so lesson’s learned. Be safe! 😀😀❤️
seing the Nova hurt really stung.. really glad you are able to rebuild. that could have gone som much worse, and the fact it happened because of bad engine build is a punch to the stomach, indeed some times mistakes happen, but trying to hide the mistake and not comming forward is really bad!!. this could have cost your son his life, so atleast the ones behind this should have been at your door right away and taken responsibility and at the least an excuse. looking forward to seeing the nova again even better in a later episode, God bless you guys :)

No matter what,the engine builder is at fault. I don't care who balances the crank,it's the engine builders responsibility to make sure everything is right when the engine goes out. Why didn't he inspect the crank if it was done out of house? Besides,Billy waited 2 years for that damn engine.
Again the weight was put in the wrong way, literally, it should have been installed parallel to the crank center line you install the Mallory to make the crank overweight and then drill it to bring it back down to what it needs to be
It’s difficult to watch you be so down over this crash. I know it’s unavoidable at this point but I hope you guys can start getting it back together and make a proper comeback

I noticed the hole for the weight being way off center line in Billy's video. I knew you would spot that. You guys have the technical skills and build experience to build a Bullitt proof motor for the Nova. Oh yeah does she have a name yet
On the bright side of things, you will have some great and informative videos coming out. I always enjoy learning and watching you guys tackle projects. Then working all the bugs out. I have high hopes that the nova will come back better than ever.

Great to hear uncle Bob and Henson are gonna get Billy`s engine right, I wouldn`t let Box rebuild my Briggs on my push mower. The main thing is Billy is unhurt and working his butt off to get back to racing. With the team y`all have with uncle Bucko,Kenny and Big Rob the Nova will be back in no time. I can tell you from someone who lives in Oklahoma, Henson builds some of the baddest engines in the game. If you watched some of the early Street outlaw stuff, when guys popped their hoods it either had Henson valve covers or Morgan and sons valve covers. Henson definitely knows what he is talking about. There is a small documentary about him and how he got started and going on street outlaws on youtube it's pretty cool. You would think with all the business that engine builder would have had due to you guys they would have done anything possible to make you guys happy and not lie to you. I've put together a few engines and I'm not a builder but usually in big blocks with twin turbos that has low oil pressure there is usually only a few things it could be too much bearing clearance or you need restrictions for the turbo feeds or restrictions for oil passages in the block. I'm glad no one was hurt but that all could have been avoided a couple of times by the builder in my opinion but you guys will get it right and get back out and cause some butthurt

I ran across the video from the big block running on the engine stand at Box and you can clearly see that barely up on temp at idle it was less than 40 psi. This was before Billy even had the motor yet. Never seen an engine I've built or an engine built on your channel run that low... But above and beyond... I cant wait to see the Nova back up and in action!!! Very good video as always ol Man! Thanks for handling this whole situation as professional as you guys are even tho I'm sure its very sensitive. Look forward to seeing SRC and Family back in action better than ever very soon!!! It doesn't matter who it is, if any business that takes your money and then lies to you it's time to cut ties and walk away. That lie is going to end up costing them far more than that whole car would have cost to replace. Maybe they'll learn that honesty always pays in the end.

Bill, not only oil restrictors, but is it not common for BBC guys to run an oil drain back line from the back of the valve cover to the oil pan? Maybe that could also help to return the oil to the pan vs being up in the top end ? Keep up the great work as always ! 👍💪

Have to 100% honest here, I have been watching SRC for a very long time now and to see the way this family comes together and helps each other and others selflessly, is so inspiring and commendable. Bill, we as viewers and subscribers have come to LOVE your family like it’s our own ( I know I’m not just speaking for myself when I say this), you guys( and gals😉) make such great role models. If people in this crazy world would just spread love and not hate, it would be such a better place. The compassion and love for one another I see in EVERYONE of yours, Billy’s, and Tommy’s videos gives me hope and makes me strive to do better as a person, as a Father, and as a brother. I know we will see the Nova back out front very soon, and it will be 100% built by you guys and be built correctly. So glad Billy was ok and I do truly believe that it was a miracle that kept him safe and kept Joey from staging correctly. Absolutely love the content, Go race the Malibu this weekend and HAVE FUN.
