I've attempted this challenge in the past with HeartGold, and it remains one of my favorite challenges to this day. RULES:
-Absolutely cannot use any Physical or Special moves whatsoever. This includes moves like Nature Power and Assist that leads to usage of Physical and Special moves. Struggle is also banned.
-NO ITEMS in trainer battles.
-Cannot use glitches or hacks.
-Cannot trade with other players (except NPCs).
-Double Team, Minimize and other accuracy/evasion stat-changing moves are banned.
-Cannot use Legendary Pokemon.
-Set mode.
-I must try to keep overleveling to a minimum.

Seriously though, setting up perish song and switching to Wobbuffet to prevent Skyla's pokemon from switching was a genius strategy to defeat half of her team. Well done!

real stall smogon players would run taunt on every mon to counter opposing taunts, do it again but with 3 moveslots
With their favourite mon ferrothorn and heavy use of subseed strategies. Lacks hazards though.

I think Whimsicott was MVP, especially at the end game. SubSeed is such a powerful and effective strategy Jesus Christ.
It breaks singleplayer, but there are numerous ways to counter it in multiplayer/competitive to the point it's not actually considered very viable there.
@@Shyguymask Yeah, in multiplayer it's a sometimes-sometimes strat. Sometimes it would work and other times it won't.

Also Blissey having 420 HP was very good and funny.
Your dedication to these challenges are amazing. Just watched the whole thing, and although it did get easier towards the end, 193 hours not including resets is bonkers.

Gengar was the Destiny bond boi who was there for most of the play through
Dusclops came in later but did some heavy lifting in some later fights

Gotta say Blissey was the MVP, from early on played a big roll and even later it continued to do so.
I legit forgot that I was in 2x speed for half the video.
I never thought that a total stall of a adventure to the end of the game would be so hype. Kudos to you, you mad lad! Blissey is 100% the mvp of the game as it is the best stallmon. I’m surprised you didn’t utilize the amoongus too, unless it didn’t have effect spore. But at least whimsicott and roserade got the spotlight UvU
I wanted to use Amoongus, but Whimsicott stole the team slot since it had overall more uses with Substitute and Prankster.
Shoutout to the Audinos at the start of the run, PP stalling enemies into oblivion

Throughout this playthrough I don't think there ever was an actual MVP, unless Butterfree being absolutely essential for the first trainer to be possible counts.
All the pokemon throughout the entire playthrough had so many good plays and uses that trying to pick a favourite just feels plain wrong.
The Audinos' indefinite stalling early,
Ferrothorn and Blissey being nearly impervious to damage late,
Roselia's toxic spikes,
Wobbufet and Altaria wiping the triple battle,
Whimsicott soloing half the league by itself,
Dusclops significantly speeding up PP stalling, along with Golurk as the beefy curse stallers,
Gengar taking almost every sweeper to the grave, while also being a less beefy curse boi,
And every single pokemon which learned Leech Seed making the game that much easier to deal with.
This playthrough was incredibly fun to watch.
Can I just call for appreciation of Black/White 2's differentiated gym tracks? It's so frikkin good
Rocky Helmet Ferrothorn was an integral part of my Pokémon Insurgence team. Especially in that part where you have to do a tough Inverse Battle where the ace is a Mega Kangaskhan. I know how useful this combined chip damage from contact moves must have been here.

30:28 Haxorus went for outrage beacuse 120*1.5(stab) = 180 and super effective break break is 150 (i think it's base 75)
I've never seen the AI take advantage of STAB when it makes a move stronger than super effective coverage.
@@gengarzilla1685 the AI of the trainers in the rom hack was modified to deal the most damage, regardless of the type advantage also if multiple moves can ko the AI will pick a random move

you know what’s funny? Iris’s team in blaze black 2 could be swept away with some ice mons with the cards being chosen correctly. just imagine iris losing to brycen if he wasn’t a movie star
Her team went from having some interesting picks and actual resistances to Ice (Aggron and Lapras) to just being a full on Dragon wank like Lance's teams.

Tip: after defeating Clay, go to the PWT and go to the righter side, you'll see two trainers with a Garchomp and an Aggron, the Garchomp guy is the EV grinder while the Aggron guy is the level grinder and allows you to grind without hassle for free. It's also only in the redux version

Wow... I'd never in a million years think about using Perish Song, but... when I think about it, it makes so much sense.
I do remember that, back in the day, Water Leader of Pokemon Online League was using Perish Song Lapras in X-Division:
- challengers fight with her in Triple Battle
- she knocked out three enemy Pokemon
- then sent out Lapras; Perish Song and just three turns of switching in/out (if possible) and/or stalling
No wonder she used to be Grand Champion of the said League at some point when POL existed.
There used to be a very infamous strategy on Mega Gengar. Think of the Altaria + Wobuffet strategy I used, but with one Pokemon having everything (Perish Song *AND* Shadow Tag)

Mega Gengar is more fragile than tanky, but hits like a literal truck.

I love your content, but I must ask one simple thing, why whenever you do the speed-ups do you not just edit in the songs played during boss-fights or whatever at normal speed? Because alot of these soundtracks are really good, & in the certain cases like the Red fight in HG/SS could really make the final parts of the video all the more climatic
Even if I wanted to, there's no way to turn off the music in these games, at least not without getting a headache.
