- Terraria, a game about exploring, building and tough boss battles. Is it possible to go through the whole game up to Moon Lord with the Movement keys disabled? How are we even supposed to do that!?

There is not really a concrete definition of "Movement keys". When it comes to my definition, it doesn't include jumping. When I think of "movement keys", the first thing that comes to my mind is arrows pointing at the four directions.

Mr. Squeeg actually so true. Going back to normal mode after 3 years of only expert mode playthroughs and the game is actually a joke.

The movement part in WoF isn't THAT hard, if you go behind it you get flinged back to the front ignoring blocks, making it a useful tool to go over obstacles

the biggest challenge in expert mode is wall of flesh in this challenge, because of the insane speed. Rod of discord won’t help you there

Once hardmode starts, it's a grind for the ROD, the hard part is pre-hardmode

The emerald hook has longer reach and faster travel time, and having multiple hooks isn't useful when you're flinging yourself.

Tip: do this during Halloween. You’ll be able to get the bat hook, the fastest hook in the game.
GD Pokecreeper honestly though, while it’d be effective in this challenge, scrapping it for a longer one once you get the chance would be better as that would just give better distance as opposed to I am speed

The Bat Hook makes bosses easier, where mobility is more important.
GD Pokecreeper specific ones - the twins for example, would be much easier with a bat hook due to the speed, however other bosses such as golem you may benefit more from longer hooks.

the diamond hook is also extremely good, i got lucky and got a bunch of diamonds in my terraria world

Xx360CalebxX honestly Expert should be called Normal, and Normal should be called Easy. Expert is more interesting and is overall a better experience. Slightly less grinding because better loot table (I think) and Treasure Bag loot makes the game a whole lot better. Also, I consider myself an ameteur player, so there’s that. Or they could make an easy mode for Journey’s End, but probably not.

Possibly Useful Items:
Web Slinger: Good early game item, but with the eight separate hooks, dodging would be near impossible
Ice Rod: Makes ice blocks anywhere, good for dodging attacks mid-air or for movement in general
Rod of Discord: Teleports the user to the mouse location, but gives a debuff
Oh shit I forgot about Ice Rod.
That definitely could be useful, but farming for ROD is annoying because of how Chaos Elementals spawn and how their AI works
Dodging with web slinger is still reasonably possible as you only have to jump once to reset your hooks.
There is also this early-game hook which some may consider god-tier which is the bat hook. Unfortunately, it is halloween exclusive.

Terraria Calamity: We don't do that here.
It's because Calamity Mod Difficulty is Unfair.
To be fair it does make the Stormbow less op early hard mode, but it didn’t really need the nerf.

I think Calamity devs really don't like sequence breaking items.
Combine that with Masomode and you get a Destroyer that’s practically immune to Daedalus Stormbow. (well, I guess it’s immune to holy arrows in general, but still)

I don't think that's possible. I remember one boss fight in particular that spawns new enemies every few turns unless you beat the main boss.

Something that I noticed that would probably take a long time, but would allow horizontal movement, is using enemies hitting you and healing. This can be controlled by directing enemies to one side of you using walls you build up to the reach limit on the side that you don't want enemies attacking you from. Building small bunkers to heal to make sure too much damage doesn't go through to you would be ideal. This would allow much needed resource gathering in the beginning, but like I said would probably be slow as heck.

- well done on your patience in the beginning, good wad that's grindy
- could have explained things a bit better to non-Terraria viewers
- surprised to see not much in the way of minions, some imps or spiders could have helped you out
- other forms of movement include conveyer belts (not much use), minecart tracks w/ boosters (handy for some bosses)
- homing weapons must have been an absolute godsend in this challenge

6:33 was so puzzled by the trail from the specter boots coming from bottom left. The head would've had to knock u towards top right as u jumped, but then the trail ends to the right of where you fall down..so it had to have knocked you back to the left during your transition from queen bee. You really cut to the boss fight at an awkward time, its so confusing to understand
As far as I remember I was accelerating with the hook then jumped with the momentum, midway through using Spectre boots I got hit and flew off the opposite direction.
Some of these tactics are useful for normal runs too nice information shyguymask
