Back then that was just the way people talked to try and grab attention and views. Ten years ago, CZcams was a way different place and NL was a aay different person (I assume). Nowadays NL has found his niche, which I like.
As someone whose watched this person since I was a kid, up until nowadays with huge bursts of breaks inbetween, I was so worried this video would be a small like analysis video on how his career suicided. I can't express what a good watch this was. Put a smile on my face. Okay other comments are making me paranoid he really did career suicide.
He may have stopped playing Isaac (he stopped for a little bit brought it back for a brief moment and stopped again) but NL is still killing it making great content

Funny thing is, I owe my ability to speak English to him - back in 2012 or so, I found about Isaac, but there was no content on it on Polish YT, but he already had a bunch of videos on it. Mind you, back then I was 13 and could barely put together a sentence, but the game was so interesting to me that I just bingewatched everything he had, and multiple times too, at first barely understanding most parts of what he was saying, but the more I watched, the more I understood, then found out about other creators I actually could - much to my surprise - understand quite well. Years passed, I somehow became the most proficient English speaker at school, and Northernlion kind of faded from my memory... until today. It's nice to see that he is still going.
The endgame of Isaac is gonna be an AI doing the run, with at most him choosing what items he picks up as he banters. and you know damn well thats going on the second monitor.

2011 viewer here. Really is a monolithic realization to wake up to no new isaac videos every day, and see that hes moved on. CZcams has truly changed into something completely unrecognizable since i started watching vids in 2009. I dont really know how to cope with change. I just hope whatever NL does now. I wish him and his family happiness.

I'm convinced that until 2017, Northernlion was just Sinvicta's second channel and then he couldn't keep up with the upload schedule so he got this Ryan guy to take over.
He used to use a “CZcams” voice and over time especially in the last couple of years he got more relaxed and stopped putting on a voice plus he got better recording equipment.
Northernlion is what AdmiralBahroo would have been if he didn’t deviate from Borderlands and Binding of Isaac back in 2015. I love Northernlion and still watch some of his Isaac vids but damn I wish he would enjoy some other games. He reminds me of a friend I had who only played games based on viewership on his streams, I get the same vibes from Northernlion
