It’s so saddening when you realize that isaac’s father upon seeing his artwork and story tries to help him, and give it a happy ending. And Isaacs mother sees it and reacts… well… not the best… it makes me cry every time.

This game went through several different art styles
1: origanal flash style
2: ultra HD with glowing effects
3: more cartoony art style
4: smoother more simpler style
5: finally a more color saturated and rougher style
They had to swap animators a lot.

Dude the mother ending is probably the worst. Isaac literally tries to appeal to his mother but she ignores him and boots him into the closet and throws a tantrum while he just hyper ventilates and most likely kills himself
He died when he gets into the chest
I find the missing poster ending to be the most ominous. Just the tattered missing poster being blown about in the wind, with Isaac's mother in the distance, looking for him. Second is the ending of his mother opening the chest. Third is the shot of the house and poster with Isaac's screams and cries in the background.

Feel like there's something to be said about the fact that the first thing Isaac gets after imagining his Mom getting struck down and celebrating it is basically himself disassociating into entirely random people in his imagination

So the final ending is basically being with his father and how the whole thing was just his imagination and illusion. In the end both of them are relaxing in a house of there own. And basically making there own story. With a happy ending

Man it kills me inside knowing how the full story in context ends with isaac terrified after his imagination runs uncontrolled after being pent up due to his mother taking away his things that he and his dad made out of either jealousy or grief, and that imagination that was his only coping mechanism after his father thought him how to channel it creatively ended up being the thing that both saved and killed him. And then, while dying, he imagined the entirety of the binding of isaac and at the end of the story he then imagines his dad retelling the story but happier. The boy was abused and confused and grieving and in the end died alone in the dark and terrified. I cry every time man. Such a depressing but fantastic story. Truly one of the best video games of all time.

what if the endings 1-18 was a part of Issac's imagination while endings 19- the final including the Epilogue was a part of Issac's life, Issac seeing that his story came true he ran away but then came back to hide in the treasure chest crying and dying and going to heaven with his dad telling Issac to make a good ending to see what would have happened but the truth is that him dying was a good ending and that is what Issac saw
