If you magically win 1 million dollars, would that be taxable? Could be difficult to hide, and if it's found out by the IRS you'd have to pay taxes on it without touching the actual million dollars, wouldn't you? Or perhaps you'd only have to pay taxes on it once you can start spending it three years before your death. Also, you have to figure out if you want to know you're going to die in 3 years ahead of time. Probably still say yes, but not so cut and dry!
I have to disagree with nl at there. There is a downside in that you have to know the exact date of your death, i can see how some people would value not knowing over a conditional 1m. Also its funny how ryan was not able to figure this out with all his "critical thinking"

This videos always (temporally but still) cure my crippling depression.
The press the button one actually does have a big brain reason as to why you might not want to push it. Are you always allowed to spend it but doing so will start the clock of three years? Even if it’s just that you can’t spend it until 3 years before death, not everyone wants to know when they’re gonna die. What if you’re 21 and you find out you can spend the money? That would be a scary reality.
It doesn't say you can't put it in even like, a savings account and spend the interest. Besides, if I was gunna die young I'd rather go on a million dollar coke bender 'cause I can't die for 3 more years, that's all the coke I can do for 3 whole years.
@@Kagemouru I mean that is an interesting point too. It basically guarantees three years of immortality once you find out. It still sucks if it’s early, but it was gonna happen anyways so I’d rather be invincible during it.
