- My eRay is BONE STOCK and I've said it before and I'll say it again, this generation of Corvettes(Z06 and eRay) are supercars! But at the end of the day it's all talk till you show up at the track. There's an old saying that goes, "those who **** around, tend to always find out". Well I decided to mess around and race a $600k +740 HP Tuned Lamborghini Aventador SV, 600+ WHP FBO R35 GTR, and a purpose built drag car from the factory the Demon 170; and boy did I FIND OUT...enjoy the video.

Maybe you can use some heating blankets to make the Front tires get hot. Next, Good thing the E-RAY has a all-wheel drive burnout cheat code , The E-Ray's burnout mode isn't exactly an advertised feature, though the process will be familiar to some C8 Corvette Stingray and Z06 owners who can follow a similar sequence to warm their tires for the quickest possible launch-control start. Here's how you do it: With traction and stability control disabled, you pull and hold both steering wheel shift paddles. Apply moderate pressure to the brake pedal with your left foot, then flatten the accelerator with your right. After the 6.2-liter V-8 stabilizes around 5,000 rpm, release both shift paddles. Maintain the brake pedal pressure while keeping the accelerator pinned and the car will calmly walk forward while the rear tires furiously spin.
As long as the brake pedal is pressed, the electric motor won't send any torque to the front wheels, but you have to apply the just-right amount of brake pressure for the best possible burnout. With too little pressure, the 495-hp 6.2-liter V-8 will overpower the brakes and the E-Ray will rocket out of the hole Push too hard, and the transmission controller will disconnect the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic from the engine to protect the driveline components being squeezed between the V-8's 470 lb-ft of torque and the reaction force from the standard carbon-ceramic brakes, Hopefully this helps. Just knew I had to see this video! Consistent 10.6 from a car right off the Showroom Floor, with exception for “Drag Tires”, tells me the ERAY is a Fantastic Street/Strip Car Bargain!
I’m still on a learning curve with my 2022 C8 Stingray. After being in the home garage bay since November of 2023 until today 4/18/2024, it was the first day out for a cruise for me and the wife.
I had to think several times where certain controls were and believe I learned that it’s best to put on the Parking Brake if out and about and you pull into a Parking Space that is on a slight grade. The C8 dropped back twice after placing the C8 in Park from Drive. I don’t think it liked that little bit of a lurch as it dropped back just ever so slightly. Yep, I do suggest setting the P.B.

I’ve been waiting and looking forward for someone to mod an E-Ray, can’t wait to see what a Procharger or Turbo/Turbos with a cam and heads and all that can do in one of these, maybe even find a way to pump up the volts or wattage or amps or whatever lol, not my area of expertise but seems like a boosted E-Ray could give us a hint as to what the ZORA could be like.

The cacti green is my fav color for the c8. Looks amazing with the bronze package and a silver stripe. They said the color was limited but see it on the stupid new Trax.

How much battery charge in each run? I think the electric power will be limited to around 100 mph if battery is not fully charged!
I fully charged it between each run on my drive back to pits

Having taken my Magnum RT on a track just to find out what it would do w/22's on it; I have a slight understanding on getting a consistent time. The thing fron there becomes: What needs to be done to be faster?
1st thing. Switch to 18" wheels and tires. You'll immediately be quicker. Next, take the car to a reputable Mopar tuner and get it tuned

Sold my Z06 the other day. I’m going ERAY all the way. The Z is an amazing car. It broke my heart Chev built the ERAY so strong. It is way faster than a Z. Plus AWD in the PNW has me year rounding the car. I like the color of your car. Trying to see it in person. Great job at the track. The car is fast. The demon answered the question. Wow

@aramistaboada5696 with a simple TT only set up costs $23k which can make it upgrade to around 840whp 790 ft lb torque. I think it is worth. Check BoostDistrict for details. It says to keep most of the stuff in stock. Not to mention stock E-Ray already beat FBO GTR and proof by Jesse.

This car is a little secret that I’m really thinking of getting. I’m a ZR1 guy and Hellcats -i own 3. But people are putting superchargers and turbos on these and they’re almost 1000hp and being that it’s AWD and can drive in rain is insane. The amount of money you can save by getting this and turbo or supercharger it with AWD is going to be the best bang for your buck for an insane fast car. It would save me at least $100,000 over the ZR1 and it could be faster if they don’t put electric on front wheels. Put a huge wing on this car and aftermarket mean hood on this and it will look tough and beat almost anything on roads and can drive it in rain. Unreal. Might be looking real soon. Just wish i knew what the ZR1 will be. Everyone thinks they know but i think will be better than ppl think -it’s a ZR1 FFS! And no it won’t have flat plane crank but I’m curious if it will have electric on front wheels. I don’t want it to have flat plane crank anyway. Plus ppl forget Corvette said that was only going in Z06 and i believe them-they need to still sell Z06 so it’s a Selling Point
