    G'day mate. Working on my yfb in Western Australia. This was just what I needed to help me rebuild the carb. Thanks very much and stay well. Cheers!
    Correct order for air/ fuel jet is grommet>washer>spring>needle, start at 2-2.5 turns back out. Main jet needle, start at four grooves from the top.

    The best carburetor rebuild video that I have seen!! If your air/fuel mixture screw is 2 turns. Then, how many turns is your idle screw?

    • @malwr0nwind0z
      @malwr0nwind0z Před 3 lety

      @@MidNebraskaMotorsports I'll use a tachometer and try to dial the idle in at about 1350 rpm's

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  Před 2 lety +2

      You're on the right track. The idle isn't a set number of turns any direction. Allow your Yamaha to warm up and turn the screw until your idle feels right. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps!

    Mine cuts out while idling. Tries to stay running but acts like it sputters and catches itself. Also cant full throttle it or it cuts out. New float and float needle and cleaned all the jets.

    What would be the correct order if everything falls out of your air fuel mixture screw

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  Před 2 lety

      oring goes in first, spring, then screw. Some have a washer as well. That will go between the oring and the spring. Thanks for the question. Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

    Great video! I got a timberwolf which i put a kit in but it seem to be running too rich. It blows blue smoke & coughs at high revs. I’ve checked everything & adjusted but still can’t get it right. If you shut the fuel off it runs like a dream before it runs out of fuel. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have a Chinese carb on my Timberwolf as well. It starts and idles great but dies out under throttle. I had the air fuel about 2 turns out. I’ve tried all kinds of adjustments on that. Then thought the main jet was too small so went larger with that. It seemed to try to run but still would die out. Do you have any recommendations on jets on this? I might just get another China carb and try again.

    I replaced my throttle cable and as soon as I fire it up, it sounds like I am holding the throttle wide open. I have ensured the throttle is not in fact being engaged at all.
    Does anyone have any clues what I may be doing wrong?

    • @MidNebraskaMotorsports
      @MidNebraskaMotorsports  Před rokem

      Sounds like it is holding the slide open. The slide is either installed backwards or the cable is pulling the slide up and needs moved into the correct position. My timberwolf hesitates when u push the throttle while rideing it, I bought it used yesterday, and it runs great, but revs to fast while in nuetral and I'm afraid it's going to hurt the gears in between changeing from nuetral into first gear,
    And it's leaking gas while it's sits turned off on top of the motor... What do you think the problem is?.

    • @donnierowland3677
      @donnierowland3677 Před rokem

      When your carburetor leaks while sitting still and the engine is not running.... That means your bowl is over filling with fuel and it is running out the overflow tube.
      You need to adjust your float.
      First remove the bowl and slightly bend the tab that your float needle is resting on.
      You will only need to bend the tab slightly to make big changes. So this may take several times to get it right.
      Be patient. Inspect float needle tip.
      Sometimes they float needle tip will get corroded or worn to wear it does not seat and shut the valve.
      The issue you're having with the throttle response should be related to the carburetor overloading with fuel.
      I believe Tyson covered this in the video.
