This Creepypasta explains how the author booted up the game in a corrupted state that revealed the original plans for the story, and the shocking conclusions that come from it.

I think this pasta could’ve been good if instead of all that stuff with Maria and the scientists, it was Shadow still not being able to get over Maria’s death, getting to the point where he starts hallucinating her stalking him everywhere, always with a look of disappointment.
imagine if it was shadow who was the victim in this story and he's going insane because he realized his purpose of being created was to satisfy the scientists, and maria was the kingpin
@@RedHatGuyYT As over the top as it sounds initially, still all the more existential actually, I like it. Nothing is much more horrifying to realize that all one has worked for was a cold lie for more terrible ideals.
It wouldn't be creepy bc it's straight up related with actual lore instead of being this ominous weird glitch going on

yeah but that part can be explained, usually for clothing they have a base model underneath, and the clothing above, like dolls kinda, the blood graphic physically doesnt exist in SA2, the rest could happen without adding anything new.
If i could change something in the creepypasta, i would left the poses part just vague enough, so it can be explained like a weird series of bugs that happens to bring back some bad memories to the protagonist, so the story would be the protagonist coping through the game bugs.
I like the part of a cut plot about an infectious disease, tho.
Minus the quality of the writing the thing that pisses me off the most is the fact they say S rank even though it'd be A rank

Do I think material like this should be off-limits for creepypasta? No. As long as it's done tastefully I think it's fine. Do I think putting it in a Sonic the Hedgehog creepypasta is doing it tastefully? No, not at all.

@@playernotfound9489 Murder is a lot harder to work around in horror, the reason murder is so common in horror is because you can't really have a villain who doesn't kill and expect them to be scary. Even in creepypasta where the antagonist doesn't kill anyone directly is murder adjecant in some way. Murder is a tough and heavy topic but it can't really be avoided in creepypasta or horror in general. Rape and other forms of sexual assault are completely avoidable in horror. Plus, I don't think sexual assault shouldn't ever be talked about in horror, It's just really disrespectful to put it in a Sonic the Hedgehog creepypasta.
I probably could've worded this better, it's hard to have horror without death and murder is a scary way to get to death.

This story really seemed like it was going somewhere cool but it just kinda falls apart in the second half

Related to creepy pastas that cover series topics in unrelated games. There was a huniepop creepy pasta that SOG(mutahar) read forever ago that was about his wife leaving him and dying in a car accident I think that has always stuck with me for being so bizarre. You should do that one.
Maria's revenge (my take) :
The story starts the same way, you need to do the game boy cube emulator to do it,
The story starts, shadow is up above the bridge everything is normal but then shadow just starts to look off, starting to look to his left and right but then, he hears maria's voice behind him and he sees maria but he sees maria without eyes, mouth, and nose.
Shadow weirdly enough isn't terrified but instead he looks just confused on why maria is here.
But then she disappears. This time teleporting to the screen looking the player with blank black eyes.
Shadow is alone again but this time there's no background it's blank black.
And everything turns off.
And when we reach the jungle level
Shadow looms over and instead of seeing sonic, he sees maria again, instead of battling against sonic, shadow battles against gerald, and the subtitle says to kill gerald. But there is no person there, after he finishes, in front of shadow there's a gun soldier. The same GUN soldier that killed $&@#*.
The later level sonic and shadow battle but we play as sonic, and shadow doesn't attack us instead looks to his left all the time while shadow and sonic run, the screen goes blank but then we go to later scene,
Shadow in a capsule screaming why %&#*% is doing this, but %^#*% which is called maria by shadow asks shadow to do her a wish.
Bring Humanity to Doom..
When amy confronts shadow, she tries but nothing works with him, amy says this "would maria wanted this?", shadow immediately attacks amy as we see maria in the background staring cheerfully at shadow as he murders amy.
The later on we skip everything up until the final hazard, this time sonic fights it with knuckles' and tails' and rogue's support.
Shadow is nowhere to be seen
But when everyone defeats the final hazard they notice amy is nowhere to be seen
Sonic finds her..
Dead.
Shadow absorbs chaos energy, telling sonic, that humanity is selfish, and that they tortured shadow and then we see a scene where gun tried to shoot shadow done because he wasn't obeying them.
Then shadow turns into super form asking sonic what are his last words.
Sonic rages like a mad man slamming the ground and his fur turns dark and sonic's pupils are gone replaced with white blank eyes.
Sonic attacks shadow and they both have a intense battle and when shadow is exhausted.
Shadow relives his life, seeing how terrible it was, accepting his death
But gerald tells shadow to not give up but nothing works.
Sonic kills shadow off, killing him in a brutal manner.
In the after life,
Shadow and maria meet again, happy reunite together,
Ţøģęţhəŕ føřēvêŕ.
... that didn't happen,
Shadow is just all alone. Maria left him, he was no use for her.
I like the take but the Dark Sonic was getting into a Fanfic territory 😂

It's seems like a bad copy-cat of Godzilla NES.
If I were to compare pasta to water quality and have Godzilla NES be steam purified drinking water, then this one is algae filled mosquito larva infested old car tire water.
I don't want to be to harsh but that's where I'm placing it.
edit: you know what? i was to hash. I just didnt like the ending. moving ranking up from "mosquito larva infested old car tire water" to "pool water"

The OG footage carries the whole story, in my opinion. I can see how it's trying to be this Stephen King-like short story of a narrator discovering a secret that opened a whole new can of worms.
The story is a bit rough around the edges, but that's up for debate. I bet it was pretty ahead of its time, but it has aged a bit when looking at it now.
Loved hearing this again, I'd forgotten about it completely. Didn't know you also narrated game pastas! Lovely to see you filling out such a dead niche. It would be cool to hear longer stories, but honestly all pasta narrations are great.
Gaming creepypastas are the primary focus of when I upload a creepypasta, with occasional exceptions. I do like the longer ones, I just need more time to plan around narrating them because the shorter ones can be done and uploaded in a few hours compared to something much longer like NES Godzilla

The start of the story was heading in a good direction but then it became worse... By alot
first thing's first, you are a wonderful narrator, and your content is a joy.
while I don't think "one R--- victim calling out to another well meaning victim" is that bad of an idea, you need to do it REALLY WELL. I don't mind the main character, the fact he recovered from his experience reduces the edgelordiness I think. Maria is a sick joke. she already had a tragedy, heck, her illness gave her two, why would she need a 3rd, especially one like this? I will say, though, I LOVED the beginning, and everything up until those R--- photos kept me engaged.

If I were to rewrite this story, I’d change the abuse Maria receives. Instead, what if it was the scientists treating her like a lab rat that made her depressed, and Gerald couldn’t do anything about it due to him being caught up in his work, leading to her eventual death. Gerald would be wracked with guilt after this and shadow wouldn’t be able to fully process her death and start hallucinating her everywhere, to the point where he’d convince himself in order to appease her, he’d have to kill Gerald to get revenge in her honour.
The thing I like about this one is how calm the narrator is about it. He doesn't start throwing up or anything stupid like that.

I think the only major flaw in this creepypasta is the fact that the "beta content" that the protagonist experienced was in a dolphin emulator, wasnt supposed to be in a dreamcast one, the "beta content" would be scrapped in the gamecube port

I’m about 18 minutes in and I’ll finish it, but this story is just tactless, it feels like it’s only going to use these elements for shock value rather than anything worthwhile or thoughtful

Hey, surprised seeing you here. I'm not fully in rn and I agree it would be best for a CW. But there are creepypastas that handle those kind of subjects much worse, there's a creepypasta of Bill's backyard which ends in uuuuh... No. Kiyoshi SNES, an Earthbound pasta which uses the Japanese serial killer being put into the game and talking about how his victims were killed and r worded in detail. And there's another EB pasta that poorly deals with mental illness and anguish. Trust me, there's so much worse.
this story is nasty, but im very annoyed by the fact that they said genocide city was still in sonic 2 via hacking the game. this isnt true, and genocide city zone never made it out of the concept stages iirc and was eventually turned into metropolis zone
Genuinely one of my favorite creepypastas despite its quality (partly because Sa2 is my favorite game and that Maria is one of my favorite Sonic characters). Yea, its messy. Yes it sucks after the opening act. Yea the writing is sloppy. But this game gets the horror that is 100% sa2 and for that its #real

I'll be honest, I've never liked this creepypasta simply because of what the story is implying. Maria being r*ped by her grandfather and the other scientists just feels...really off to me. I have experience with things similar to what this implies happened to Maria and it does genuinely just give me bad vibes. I don't think that stories should avoid topics like this because there are stories out there that handle this kind of topic really well (stories like Borasca and Penpal), but this one...this one kinda felt like it was written in bad taste. That being said, it's not an awful creepypasta. I agree that it's one of the better Sonic creepypastas and it is written pretty well. I just personally would've liked it if it's subject material was handled with more tact. That's just me though
EDIT: I almost forgot to mention how I don't see how Maria being r*ped fills up any plot holes or makes anything make more sense. It's part of my problem with this story. It just says "Maria being r*ped fills up the plot holes in SA2 because trust me". I've never had an issue with this game and I thought the story was well written enough. I am biased tho because it's always been my favorite Sonic game

In the actual lore she got fucking shot by a military officer, who in one version of the canon deeply regrets what he has done and wishes to atone. Make the story about Shadow going after *him* . Make the twist be that he's fucking old and repentant but Shadow gives no fucks. Make Maria haunt *him*

Chill out, people, this story isn't that bad for a video game pasta. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for video game pastas, but there are far more nonsensical routes to take than this, this avoided a lot of video game pasta clichés fairly admirably all things considered. As for people calling this "tasteless" because it attaches r-word to a Sonic game…again, chill, it's a video game creepypasta, turning a beloved childhood video game dark is kind of the point. To me, this didn't feel like a cheap attempt to be dark, it felt like there was a heartfelt point to the story - maybe the author really did go through what he says he did in the story and this was something he wrote to help work through it, I don't know for sure but that's the vibe I get. I don't know, this really isn't that awfully written, I've read and even enjoyed way worse.

I was thinking something similar. That, at the end, the protagonist finds out that someone else ensured a similar experience, but now the protagonist can make justice.
I get why many people feel annoyed because "serious topics in a Sonic game is so edgy" and stuff, but idk, i enjoyed the story.
You're right, people apparently likes to get frustrated for some stupid fanfiction flaws.
I still think it could've been better : the GBA connection thing looks out of place, the story doesn't know itself if it tells about a haunted ROM or hidden game files and I guessed way too early the creepypasta was about r#]@ on Maria. But it has real potential.
People complaining about serious, or edgy, stuff in the Sonic games don't seem to remember the Adventure games were putting the bar really high on the "edgy" content at their release times.
