I laughed a bit when you mentioned pokemon snakewood, that is my worst game of all-time.Pokemon uranium used the concept in a good way, unlike snakewood being a shitty game with no ending.

Closest I can think of is the one Yamask evolution it had in like Sword or Shield where is had to have a specific amount of HP and evolved under a bridge or something like that
You can evolve your Eevee into a ghost type with a special elemental stone called a Brick

No the actual way to get it is throw the eevee off a cliff, although there’s a chance it flies and becomes a flying type eeveelution instead but 9 out of 10 times it’ll become the ghost one

Nah, fam. Clearly you have to bring it to the Moo-Moo Farm and speak to the farmer who owns the place while it’s suffering from a status ailment, to which he’ll offer to Ol’ Yeller it for you for 500 Pokedollars. Doing that gets you the Ghost type Eeveelution, just sayin’. 😏

The irony that nowadays you can now actually find a beta version of gold/silver online which contains a poison eeveelution (Umbreon’s original type)… Which it evolves into via the scrapped poison stone…
this reads off like red mist's "a nameless worker just randomly inserted this creepy stuff here" and cuts to a full grown project that would've taken months to design and somehow slip through the radar up until it was finished
Fun Fact: According to the GS Spaceworld Demo leak, Eevee was actually supposed to get a Poison type Eeveeluton more specifically with Urbreon originally being Poison insted of Dark. Bits of this are still leftover though it's Pokedex entry mentioning the rings on its body being poisonous.
It was even supposed to evole useing an actually scrapped Poison Stone item
So this pasta kinda unintentionally perdicted the future (the part about Dunspace is also true since it was absent from the demo and a leater version of the GS beta that had also leaked showed it was a last minute addition)
I personally love the idea of poison Umbreon over dark type Umbreon.

You're doing god's work man. It's been such a fun blast from the past seeing all of these and I love hearing your commentary at the end. The vibe in these vids is excellent, it really does capture the kind of relaxed energy Muta's old HG videos had. No crappy theatrics or really annoying editing, just reading a spooky story of questionable quality with a friend and then chatting about your thoughts on it after. Funny to see a zombie story like this again too after all these years since apparently those are becoming popular again with the zoomer tiktok crowd, thus the cycle begins anew

I find it funny how this did have some truth to it, as originally Umbreon was a Poison type and would've had a Grass type counterpart Eeveelution from Beta Game leaks
Of all things, I felt the worst when the poor Ditto got hurt ;w;
Immersion was kinda hurt for me when he mentioned nothing being different through the game, but I could take it as being something removed late.
But dude mentioned trying to give the eevee every item, but by GS there was already the ability to make the pokemon hold an item, and someof them evolved by either being traded or leveling up with a certain item held already.
That said, pokemon weirdly enough already has a virus that spreads through all your pokemon. It is known as pokerus, and it is a beneficial one.
Silly but fun story. I agree with some of the criticisms. I think it would have been improved a bit if they just found the stone instead of needing to hackerman it, and it could have done without the silly trainer stuff and spooky dialog(tm). Just have it crash or corrupt and it's short n sweet.

This was pretty nice, definitely liked the fact that the narrator wasn't a hyper sensitive and start crying, vomiting, feeling sick, shaking etc. dumb stuff over a ROM that isn't even scary but like odd. Altho I don't know why he would continue using Zombreon if he sees it's doing weird stuff, you'd think he'd try to use other pokemon to battle and see if weird shit continues to happen
