i wanted to give this one a chance but like, yeah, it’s pretty clearly some kid who really liked herobrine wanted to do their own version of that kinda story. the player interactions felt reasonable, but after a point it was very much what a kid would think is scary to write, weird word choices and grammar and all. it’s just… yeah, it’s not something you can really take seriously if you aren’t gullible in that uniquely eight-year-old way.
I remember not giving a chance to this creepypasta as a kid because I thought it was just an attempt at copying herobrine, but I actually enjoyed the read, mainly the first segment.
it legit felt like a group of kids coming across something creepy in their server, but the author decides to kill all of them
Yup, all the telltale signs of having been written by a child.
1) Emotional dialogue that feels way over the top but simultaneously simply described: "We were all getting scared, and more scared."
2) Things like suicide being treated as "scary" but not actually having significant impact on the protagonist because the writer doesn't understand suicide.
3) Unrealistic technical problems such as not being able to turn off your computer?
4) Overselling the story. Could have maybe been memorable after the first chapter, but the more this story goes on the less mystery there is and the more unrealistic it feels.
5) Antagonistic supernatural creature thats clearly inspired by another creepypasta (herobrine) "I replaced him, he has died."
I remember oneyplays making an AI dungeon video on minecraft, and it almost feels like an accurate parody of this creepypasta lmao.
Entity 303 sounds like some type of serial killer, honestly a lot of great potential with the character

I'd honestly like to see what other Minecraft creepypastas have in store because this and Herobrine were the only ones I remember and this one was never particularly interesting to me, so I wonder if any of the others can be as captivating.

Videogame Creepypastas for me tend to loose their appeal the moment it infiltrates the real world
Minecraft ones especially become some of my favorites simply because the game is perfect for it, and when they leave that game it feels like its just "oo spooky murder and blood oooo"
I will say though, even with how obvious it is that 303 was written by a kid it still has so much potential. Kinda like how the wird colored Steve creepypastas hit their full potential with youtubers making series like The Steve Saga and Rainbow Quest, or the Herobrine Origins series, the Haunting etc etc
I wish people would do more with these like what some roleplay youtubers have been doingtbh

I dunno if it’s just me, but I don’t mind entity 303’s story much, even if it is quite meh, except for the design of 303 itself, it just doesn’t click for me like herobrine’s design

One time my brother convinced me that Entity 303 was real and that if i climbed into the TV, i could go into the Minecraft world and meet him

Now that I've heard the creepy pasts I can confirm it's awful. This was an awful horror story. At least Sonic.exe was short.
Compared to herobrine, entity 303 could very well be real. Some people say he's A hacker or group of hackers, as well as other stories also calling "them" or "him" A hacker(s).
Herobrine is just a random ghost. Some people believe in herobrine and 303, but I don't think either of those exists. But 303 is a lot more likely to be real.
