Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn is one of the Best Casting choices ever made in my Opinion.
Thrawn is one who respects and one who can be respected. He is pretty awesome even tho he is on the dark side. Most definitely different than most.
Thrawn is more of an antihero who exposes the flaws of the Resistance/New Republic/Light Side and Palpaline's /Dark Side objective for the Empire. He's the Hannibal Barca, Sun Tzu, and Sherlock Holmes of Star Wars. He is the great terror of the Republic and the Jedi. He is a man caught between the greyness of both the light and dark, born for a military command to prove that the Force isn't the only thing that can make & change the course of history.
That damn voice !!
@WealthyWyatt Agreed
8:17 not only did thrawn had brains he also had muscle
This is one of my favorite scenes in rebels lol
@@jaytee6936Same 😏
0:07 little did she know... She got a genius
This is amazing to watch after reading thrawn
I've had my criticism about the show but Thrawn and his theme song are a great
If only Konstantine listened lol
I feel like every line Lars Mikkelsen reads has the exact same rhythm to it. Becomes very noticeable when you watch all his dialogue in one go like this. Granted, that is not the intended viewing experience, but still, I'd struggle to un-hear it now.
Awesome video bud
Thank you for uploading. The subtitles are distracting.
No one can beat his intelligence
I'm here after Ahsoka.
Thrawn is the star wars equal of real life figures like Sun Tzu and Cao Cao.
Why aren't there any comments
hot take: up until the very series finale of the show, all that I've (emphasis on "I") seen of Thrawn in Rebels was just a calm, methodical villain. He was just a Chiss on space ambien. At the very least, he should've shown some level of ruthlessness (like, rip a stormtrooper's arm off or something) throughout the show just as a reminder of how no-nonsense he is as a Grand Admiral. Am I wrong?
Thrawn is described as having extereme reserves of patience for those that fail him. Those that do, like Konstantine, died due to their mistakes. Thrawn is no-nonsense, but he also know that he has to build trust with those beneath him, or they will never follow his more outlandish orders.
Or maybe I'm just stupid.
Thrawn doesn't seem to be the type of officer that would hurt his own men. He of all people would understand how important mutual respect and loyalty is towards those under his command.
Besides, he already showed a no-nonsense side by ordering the factory workers to test the equipments that they might sabotage.
@@imlivingunderyourbed7845 that's a fair point. Still, I always wanted to know if Thrawn was the kind of "villain" that would do whatever it took to get shit done.
@@thelittlehomie658 He does indeed do everything to get things done. It's just that his methods are extremely pragmatic.
There was a moment when a group of cadets in the military academy tried to attack him, and when he had a chance to get them expelled, he instead recommended them to be put on pilot training because of how well coordinated their attack was.

I still prefer Mark Thompsons version of Thrawn but this is quite close
Rebels art style is garbage
Too simplistic in my opinion, but what's worse is the "no, let the rebels escape, it's part of my BIG plan."
