I’ve just bought a 996 40th anniversary edition and I had a PCCM+ installed. What a dramatic upgrade, while looking stock, because it is a Porsche designed item.

I now have the distinct pleasure of owning a 2019 GT2 RS but if I still owned my 997 TT I would be all over the PCCM plus, what a great product upgrade offered by Porsche. As to going camping in a 911, while I think that has a definite 9.9 cool factor, where we go camping it is much more functional to take my F150 Fx4.

Nice video. I’m thrilled to see you utilizing your ride in this manner. I have owned my 996 C4S now for a few months. Two things: I am seeing the PCCM+ at Suncoast parts for around $1300. Is that going to be the best price point? And did you order the cubby hole with it? I see there are two options, but most I’m seeing via the videos is the square cubby that fits just below the unit. Also, does the charger/USB come with the unit? Two, I love your engine piping. I just had my mufflers fitted with the Fister Mufflers and it sounds great. What option did you go with? Thanks for the video. Hope to hear from you.

I freaking LOOOOOOOOVEEE 996’s! That’s an excellent upgrade cause they really look awful the aftermarket stereos on 996’s interiors. It’s a shame that most likely that system will cost like 30 aftermarket CarPlay stereos.

If Porsche marketing are reading these comments, *please* make a PCCM plus to replace the PCM3.0/3.1 generation head units. I would book my 991.1 into a Porsche centre straight away to upgrade mine to have Carplay, Waze and Google Maps. I’m sure there’s many 997 owners out there that consider their cars classics now but are stuck with late 90’s satnav tech in their cars. You would gain so many new first time car owners and future loyal brand customers.
I understand piles of dollar were spent in making this always beautiful video that is all about this car, it can’t put any negative aspects about itself, can they?

Come on Porsche, just release the same thing for the 911 997. Got the 2007 911 Turbo and if the same thing was available or just a bluetooth option was out, I would straight forward go for it.

Okay, I love this for my Porsche but where do you get it. I called Porsche Hawaii today and parts desk didn’t know what I was talking about. I told him to go on CZcams. He told me he would call me back after he researched it but never got back to me. Is this upgrade a real thing? I tried Amazon and they had nothing. Let me know please.

Yea I could not wait 6 years for a PCCM, so a SONY XAV has been doing the job and not looking at all out of place with the Metra install kit and the SONY logo matte blacked out. And 700 bucks difference for other upgrades, like the crap speakers.
