For what it's worth, Gissou Nia, you are a wonderful human being. Keep fighting for human rights.
How can one comment on such a well articulated interview?
Here in Quebec, Canada we had a teacher fighting to wear a hijab in her classroom. There's even been a controversial law created forbidding the hijab in public places. Women in Iran die because they refuse to wear the hijab. What a complicated world we live in. Mixing religion with politics is a very dangerous and slippery path to follow.
Russia cannot win against Ukraine. Once Russia is exposed (if not already) for being weak, I believe that it will have a domino effect and many other regime will fall. There is no honor between thugs.
🍁Together we stand. Together we will celebrate the defeat of the Russian empire. 🇨🇦🍁

A couple of days ago I was reading a very good CNN article on Iranians who have suffered horrific, lengthy torture and about all the clandestine spots the government has dispersed around the country to conduct these tortures with even less accountability than they've had. It was sickening; Khamenei and the mullahs and of this parasitic regime are sickening! So I thank you for talking about the people of Iran because, just as for Ukraine, the worst that can happen is that we stop talking about them.

As always, you have the most interesting guests! I do sometimes wonder what is happening with the protests in Iran because we do hear more about Iran supplying drones to Russia, with no more mention of Iranian people wanting a change in government. That makes it seems things have calmed down there.
I know I am a pest and I know you must be extremely busy, but if you ever decide you can do more videos with students, I thought maybe you could do live streams. One You Tuber I watch usually spends 30 minutes presenting a topic then opens the chat for discussion. Maybe you could do this specifically for University students then post it for others to see. You would need moderators to take questions and the like. I figure your discussions could go on for hours, especially if you present the same guests as you do here. If only I were 40 years younger, I would volunteer to intern for you (hee hee).
Love the work you and your guests are doing all over the world!

Ukrainian motto has been "My house is on the outskirts, I know nothing" (моя хата зкраю - нічого не знаю) for a very long time, especially for those who do not know foreign languages. I have the courage to admit that I did not care about what has been going on in the Middle East, there has always been some kind of war going on. Now a terrible realization of the fact that everything is connected in this small world is coming. P.S. It's been funny to watch a guest so similar in appearance to me, lol. I wish my level of English is that great, especially the inflections and the such.

Thank you for making content about my country, Iran. 🙏
I was one of the Iranians who applied to join Ukraine's defense force in the first days of the war.
They didn't reply to my application, I don't know whether I didn't qualify or they had no infrastructure for managing visas, or they didn't want to bring up an escalation with Iran at that point, or whatever reason.
Recently I heard that the Ukrainian ambassador in Tehran shook the dirty hands of Islamic Republic officials on the Islamic revolution anniversary, the news was not just heartbreaking but also made me angry.(Hannah Neumann on the Munich security conference 18.02.2023)
The Ukrainian government didn't cut its ties with the brutal regime of the Mullahs(Islamic clerics) who is the murderer of the Iranian and Ukrainian people at the same time.
The Mullahs send hundreds of drones to Russia which they know will be used for killing Ukrainian people and they kill innocent people on the streets of Iran with live bullets and firearms.
I want to say to Ukrainians please ask your president to shut down their embassy in Iran, it will help for more isolation against the murderer of your people.
If Ukraine continues its relationship with the Islamic Republic it will be a green light for them to send troops and artillery for Putin.
I wish the Iranian people cloud topple down the Mullahs and you can come and go to secular democratic liberated Iran.
Women, Life, Freedom. Slava Ukraine. ✊

I feel sorry for the women of Afghanistan who grew up with freedoms that are now taken away. I feel they have been betrayed by the men of their country who seem to have gone along with the Taliban. There are Afghans who seem to have willing to let the Taliban be in charge again. In that case, what people do we listen to? The women of Afghanistan have been let down by their own brothers and fathers it seems.

It's very difficult to believe that someone who supports russia and iran is not a conscious accomplice of terrorism.

I had to look up malice. "the intention or desire to do evil; ill will." I have to agree with you. Supporters of Russian are courted and have invested interest.
I would consider the Russians themselves as Idiots. "a society or group that is controlled by or consists of people of low intelligence." They have been controlled by the Russian Kremlin for 20 - 30 years, basically being brainwashed.
      Have a good one.

    • @marcb5832
      @marcb5832 Před rokem

@@retired_raspberry As a russian by nationality, I will say more. There is no russian society. Most russians are low-intelligence slaves deliberately bred by the Bolsheviks.
The KGB / FSB is the highest caste that controls all processes in this pseudo-society.
There is no point in the existence of this ugliness on the planet. The KGB servants themselves do not understand what they serve and why. Like the German Nazis, their minds are clouded, their picture of the world is fantastic. This is called conspiracy theories.
They are looking all over the world for a type of people with low intelligence, close to the intelligence of the average russian, and apply their propaganda to them.
In the US, for example, this kind of people are largely Republican voters.

Sulaiman al-Aʽmash on Rulers: Corruption among masses leads to evil rulers
Mansur ibn Abi al-Aswad reported: I asked Al-A’mash, may Allah have mercy on him, about the saying of the Exalted, “’Thus, We appoint some oppressor as allies of one another because of what they have earned,’ (Quran 6:129). What have you heard being said about it?” Al-A’mash said, “ I heard them say: If the people become corrupt, the worst of them will be appointed rulers over them.”

I hate the woke response to this issue... that trying to influence another's "culture" is like "punching down". I've been smacked down by the far left over this issue too many times to count. Gissou touched on this when she spoke about Iran being thought of as a victim and later in the podcast, great points on cultural relativism. It's bizarre how the woke folk can get things so wrong.
