    There has been multiple occasions this season where Wagner has made incredibly negative substitutions which hasn’t work and caused us to have no attacking outlet when we need it. Not bringing on Van Hooijdonk after this was genuinely criminal

    So frustrating, iv been been a supporter of Wagner and some of his decisions and had sympathy with the injury crisis, but we threw 2 points away today.
    Sargent is such an important player for us and the stats reflect that, if he has to come off between 60-70mins then give Hoojidonk a run out who will want to impress and put himself about.
    Stacey going off sick is strange considering he had done so well but Sorensen at right back is even stranger.
    Iv seen people say a play off team needs to be winning these games, luckily all the others competing for the play offs are just as inconsistent as us.
    We take the away point and push on, but NEED two home wins now..

    Our defence has been an issue for a number of years/seasons. Seeing the pairing of Hanley and Gibson on a team sheet always concerns me. I live in hope we can rectify our defence nightmare sooner rather than later…

    This game is another example of why Wagner is not the person to lead Norwich back to the Premiership.

    Wagner has to take blame for this result, but it's alright he's happy with a point against a team with the worst home record in the league...

    The Sarge and Stacey substitutions did confuse me. We still got a point and they did want it more. The next two games at home are crucial.

      We usually have a curse with Watford. We always lose to them no matter the odds so I’m not excepting much from that game. Cardiff however..

    QPR fan here - we've definitely turned a corner in terms of home form. I think both teams could have won (Norwich more so) but a draw was the most fair result in my opinion. Good luck in the rest of your season!

    Completely agree with that Jack. Stacey must have been injured otherwise that's a crazy decision. Chair was skipping past Lungi every time. Also agree if you take Sargent off swap him for a striker. I don't remember it ever working with Barnes up top on his own

      He's just not that player. Maybe it's from what he used to do, I've not followed his career, but he's just not good enough for it any more unless you want him keeping it in the corner flag

      Listen to DW’s post match interview then you will have some understanding as to why he made the decisions he did.

    Amazing a draw away to QPR and all the negativity starts, the last thing we need on Tuesday against Watford is negative vibes from the stands, time to get behind the lads for the last 3rd of the season COYY

      Maybe you did not go to the game then because if you did then you have got it completely wrong. Great away support and a very quiet home crowd and when 2 1 up Wagner got subs completely wrong ending up with playing with 10 men partially due to his obsession of swapping left backs which provides absolutely nothing at all. So a bit of negativity is allowed when having to watch Wagner mess up yet another game and then having to suffer a nightmare journey back on trains and getting home after midnight.

      I did listen to the game with Radio Norfolk, sounds like nightmare journey home for you, great support at QPR, I just get frustrated by fans stating the great substitutions which won us the game against Coventry only for them to turn on him when he made them against QPR, terrible defending for the equaliser, draw away win at home and we’ll make the top 6. COYY

    I was there yesterday and disappointed with the first half performance in particular. We struggled to cope with their strikers and looked very weak playing out from the back with their high press. Gibson and Hanley leave too many players with space resulting to too many fouls giving the opposition set piece opportunities. My major complaint though, is that Fassnacht simply doesn’t do it for me, yet Wagner obviously rates him. I also find Giannoulis too fickle and inconsistent especially in defence. QPR’s second goal was down to him backing off giving too much space and enabling the cross.
    It looks like Rowe has a hamstring injury which is very disappointing, but at least Sargent is playing well and great to watch. QPR targeted him yesterday and dropped him a number of times in the first half, a sure sign they rate him highly!
    We are a team on the cusp. With all the players fit we can do it, but with two critical players Rowe and Duffy injured, it becomes doubtful.

    @f00dify Před 3 měsíci

    I can understand why Wagner would sub Sargent off you don't want his injury to resurface, but pick better replacements for the players coming off. Also looking at the remainder of the schedule we should be getting all 3 points against sides below us. With top 6 sides with Sunderland in March. With Leicester and Ipswich back to back in April. I believe we can make it into the playoffs

  • @BicesterCanary
    @BicesterCanary Před 3 měsíci

    Not only the substitutions, but the instructions to the players at 2-2. Just from the arm motion you can tell we were hanging on for a draw which never works for us.
    Getting fed up of the Onel criticism though for God's sake. Yeah he's not been great but it's not his fault the passes are 20 yards in front of him. I'm not sure what the fans expect from a rotation championship player

    Do feel Stacey was getting bullied defensively yesterday, but could’ve been injury related

    If your going to take off Sargent then why not bring in Sydney? He didn’t deserve to to just stay on the bench while Gibson and Hanley were doing some awful defending. Barnes is slowly getting back on his feet tho after his injury at least and I guess il take an away point..
