Though I’m Jewish and don’t celebrate Christmas, I love the purity and beauty and goodness of this song. That “love, love, love” repetition stays in your mind and keeps you focused on what’s important in life
DMB is a very eclectic band with prominent drums, saxophone, and violin. I suggest “Ants Marching”, and … maybe when your new baby starts talking … “So Much to Say”.

Dave's voice is so good I could gladly listen to him sing an instruction manual. He makes everything he sings unique. He's just that good.
As others have commented, this is not the whole Dave Matthews Band. The other guitarist here is Tim Reynolds, who is a member of the band, but Dave and Tim have frequently played as an acoustic duo side gig for many years. The full Dave Matthews Band includes incredible musicians and unique instrumentation to give a very different vibe, worth checking out.
This song is not well known but has always been my favorite DMB song. Thank you for listening to it.

Oh my gosh, I haven’t even watched this video but I love you and Dave Matthews is my all-time favorite band. My husband and I have seen them in concert probably close to 20 times they are amazing so I’m excited for this.

This is an outlier for the DMB. Truly, it's a beautiful song like most of their songs, but this is different from the rest of their catalog.
Dave Matthews Band (they exist too) are deep, pure, interesting, and fun lyrically and they are musically so talented.
Hey Britt! You really should check out something with the whole band. They play with such happiness and joy that it’s contagious. The drummer, Carter, smiles the entire time he plays.

I am absolutely agnostic, and I love this so much. This honestly might be my favorite reaction in the last year.
Right? I love her discussion and commentary. Britt (and the original lyrics) go so much deeper than the superficial stories and into what people really look for and need in life, which happens to be incredibly simple. This applies to both good and bad people. So much to take away from the song AND from the reaction.
In other versions of this song, Dave inserts the Beatles’ lyrics “All You Need is Love” and “Can’t Buy Me Love” in the last chorus.

My mute button is getting worn out. It's taking 30 minutes to watch this 3 minute song. I would like your reaction, 2-3 times in the video, not 40 times in the video.. Wow.

He’s a fantastic and unique artist with a huge catalogue of special songs. I wish I could pinpoint just one to recommend but maybe, for your tastes, ‘The Maker’? Also, that ‘fire inside of you…’? Dave and Tim Reynolds tour separately from the band acoustically. Although both are part of the full band.
That video is Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Dave Matthews Band has between 5-7 members depending on the year. I would start with "What Would You Say" (live) as a good start to the band.
These are videos of Dave and Tim acoustic performances. They do these shows on the side from the full band gigs. Look up the Central Park concert, Live at Piedmont Park, or any of the recent live videos on their official channel.

I have been lucky enough to see The Dave Matthews band at the gorge ampatheater a couple of times. They put on an incredible show. They are known to be a jam band. When they perform some songs can go on for 20 min. I hope you react to more DMB. Something more upbeat so that you can see Dave's iconic dancing. recommend So Much to Say live at Central Park. I look forward to seeing more regardless. I hope you enjoy!
All of those “live at Central Park” videos are fantastic. The concert was a free performance for NYC first responders after 9/11. The performance of “Jimi Thing” gets emotional at times, but it’s really long for a reaction.
He does this thing where it feels like he’s duct taping different chunks of different songs into a completely new song. And somehow it works. (And I’m sure that someone else has answered this, but Dave and Tim sometimes perform by themselves without the rest of the band).

I used to attend their new years concerts. This is one of my faves.
This used to be a pretty regular part of the show, WAY back in the day (like, 30 years ago, back in the day), but it hardly ever turns up anymore. The version you posted (I think) looks like it was from a Dave & Tim acoustic show (hard to tell with all the anti-copyright filters you put up), although even in a band show, it's never a full band song--usually just Dave, Tim, and drummer Carter. Actually got to hear it this past summer, which I never thought would happen. Regardless of your beliefs, and I actually don't have many, it's still a beautiful story and song.

Dave does solo concerts when not touring with the full band and Tim Reynolds(other guitarist) accompanies him. Tim is like a featured member of the band and doesn't always play with them. I'm an atheist but there's one song in the world that has ever made me feel the presence of something and that's "The Maker" by Dave and Tim live at radio City

The DMB has some of the most unique music with shifting rhytms and intricate music lines. He creates tension then resolves it. Look up Satellite.

There are many great tunes that feature the band. This acoustic set is more scaled back. I also suggest Bartender. It has some Christian imagery and is about redemption.

Dave being Dave
Before I say anything else (and you know I will 😂) I saw DMB at a state fair playing with CDB. I had no idea who they were, didn’t really care about them. I was there for CDB. They changed my (at the time) fairly hard core McCarthyism ideology. I was VERY gradually introduced to country (folk) music. Being at that concert really challenged my views. But I never would have been there if some crazy guy hadn’t written me a poem. 💕
I told you I wasn’t done:
5:45 I believe in my Lord, but reality is, I’m not worthy. And no matter what I do, I won’t be worthy…. Honestly, I don’t get it. No matter how hard I try to live by His rules, I fail. But He still loves me?
8:00 we’re not looking for love, we’re looking for inner peace. No parent, no child can provide the complete acceptance Our Lord does. As one who has battled addiction on many different fronts, it’s the acceptance. I’m very fortunate that my kid gave me a second/third/fourth/ way to many chances for the damage I caused. The Lord gives you a chance until the very end. One of the many things that confounds me about Him. I can’t/don’t/ don’t have the capability to understand His love.
I would like to give you the biggest compliment I can, short of monetary gain, I’m recommending this video to my best friend. He doesn’t know country and he doesn’t watch reaction videos. 😂

Check out the deep cuts by DMB. Radio hits are ok too, but nothing like the others. Jimi Thing, Typical Situation, Two Step and Tripping Billies are my suggestions
