Wayne is awesome. I remember as a 10-11 yr old kid ('81-'82)that he would hang in the lounge of an area bowling center here in my area and get tanked...lol. apparently he was friends with the people who ran that center....was a handful😀..and a fierce competitor.
@@jrdjr444 as a 10-11 yr old junior bowler, I remember Wayne being at Magic City Lanes in Barberton ohio, in the lounge, ripped ass drunk, dancing on the bar, and raising hell. This had to be '81-'82 I'd say. He knew the owners and was there when he was in town (Firestone ToC in Akron ) He was a total rockstar and acted it....lol. He was cool. I was obviously star struck..never dreamed he'd be a HoFer
@@beeemm2578 Yes Indeed, I remember being a junior bowler. George and Wilma Webb ran the junior league. They had a Banner "Home of wayne webb" with the tournaments that he had won and they would add to it very often until there was no more room! Wayne would stop by when he was home and it was incredible. He would stop by years later hanging with guys he grew up with ect. I bowled men's league with his Brother Sandy. They were all good people.
I like this telecast not only because of Wayne Webb's abilities; but also music from Bruce Springsteen.....Born to Run after the end of matches, and Jungleland during the rundown of 6-24.

Unfortunately bowling lanes are becoming scarce here on the east coast. I loved watching the Pro Bowlers Tour on Saturday afternoon.
Pretty strong field I'd say!!!
W crowd, no violence

The first, second, and title matches were exciting and very close
How would today's players do on this type of conditions and the pancake urethane Ball
Marshall is ticked off after the match over Webb's not acknowledging him!
talkcat10 Webb’s revenge after Marshall’s defeat of him at US Open, which Marshall was screaming all over the place. Tho Wayne was much more subdued.
He did shake his hand after the match
Holman always overreacted in everyone's face that he beat, so.....lol 😆. Take it like a man.
I thought Bo got a 6 month suspension after getting into a fight at the King Louie the week before?
