- In this video I look at the top 5 worst moments of Marshall Holman on TV.
Which player do you want to see a "Top 5 worst of" next?

I didn't know anyone suggested Marshall Holman; I offhandedly said it in the Worst of Pete Weber video yesterday.
Anyhow, how about on the opposite end of the spectrum the 5 Greatest Moments on TV for Danny Wiseman. I picked him because he's from Baltimore, Maryland and I'm a lifelong resident of Maryland. His greatest moment of course is winning the 1990 Fair Lanes Open in Woodlawn, Maryland (just outside Baltimore. The center still exists as an AMF facility); second greatest was winning the 2004 USBC Masters at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
His running battle with the crowd at Kendall Lanes in Miami in 1981 has to be up there!
Never heard that one, what happened?
@@Jason_Maier The 1981 True Value Open at Kendall Lanes. czcams.com/video/MV319eDxB_0/video.htmlsi=8LsJoUoYEkljZSyP
@@Jason_Maier He had a running battle with the crowd during the title match at the 1981 True Value Open in Kendall, FL against the late Bo Bowden, who won his only PBA title.
In reality Harry Golden should've started warning the crowd during the commercial break about their behaviour and start having them ejected. Was poor on their behalf.
Thanks for all your vids, sir. Awesome stuff.
He was suspended for several months for kicking out the foul light. Nowadays if someone did that it would probably just be a fine and maybe a one tournament suspension at most.
I remember when that incident was back in 1980 & if I’m not mistaken that his partner Mark Roth was his long time friend. Tommy Hudson & Pete Couture won the doubles tournament on NBC Sportsworld.
What's more interesting is that foul light cover was already loose having not been screwed down at all.
They were working on it prior to the show and left the screws out and just sat it on there.
@@reinnegroni8462 Pete Coture. Randy's dad
Nowadays he'd probably be lauded for individualism and questioned as to why he has no tattoos.
I really like your content! Very thoughtful and well-considered.
Love your videos and commentary bro. Keep up the good work.
The dude never help back. I remember in 2000 our team won the Dr. Pepper League and was able to bowl a baker match against team Columbia 300 at the 2000 Columbia 300 open at Highland lanes. He called me out after I got both my strikes (I was bowling 4th and 9th frames) he struck and hollered right at me lmao. I was 15 or 16 at the time. Was the experience of a lifetime and I'll never forget matching him strike for strike even thought it was baker format.
Earl Anthony would be interesting to see. I would think it would be hard to find 5 worst with him.
You should do worst for Sean Rash
Is the anyway you can do the best of Mike Aulby? He's my favorite of all time. It would probably have to be the best of Aulby cuz I don't think he had any real bad breaks. But he was a very dominant player. Triple crown winner.
I don’t think I’ve double guttered since I was a little kid without bumpers on the lane
"Maximum Bob" Robert Smith, Ronnie Russel, Sean Rash, "The Big Nasty" Wes Mallot. Those are a few that would be cool to do a list on.
Hey relly nice video. Also could you please do a Worst Moments Of Liz Johnson? Because until now you only had men and Liz Johnson would be a great variety. Best wishes Loca and his brothers
Marshall did a lot of bad bowling on TV that didnt reflect truly how great he was. He made the show 116 times, only winning 22. His mental game was his downfall, physically he probably threw the best ball on tour for a decade or more
Do a video on PDW's best wife. My vote is for Kim Schultheis.
its a sure thing
The five bowlers i would like to see worst moments.
1. Del Ballard Jr
2. Parker Bohn III
3. Norm Duke
4. Mark Roth
5. Dick Weber
Dick Weber might be hard as he was very good and probably not a lot of television coverage when Dick Weber was bowling
Steve Martin threw it SUPER sweet back then. Beautiful game from a player I imagine most people don’t know about today.
It got to the place where people booed him when he was next up for the match. He was known to be one of the greatest bowlers and nice guy after he settled down in his later years.
Marshall Holman actually bowled his ball with a broken finger back in 1982 at Syracuse, New York on USA Network.
Do best of mark roth
It used to be really rare for someone get a gutter on tv. Wood lanes were a different species. The same as it will be when string pins start appearing.
I would love to see Mark Roth
I also believe that Marshall's 10 straight match losing streak and 1-15 ranks in favor. That was in between his 1981 King Louie Open and 1983 Austin Open titles. The next bowler for worst moments on TV I would suggest is Mike Edwards. The 4-9 split in the 1985 Quaker State made him unlucky in other matches.
That's for that double gutter bowl
Avid bowling fan and Marshall Holman fan.Didnt know that
Ouch....lol
Great bowler.
I was gonna say kicking out the foul light was #1, but now I tend to agree the double-gutter was the worst.
I’d like to see all the second place finishers. I believe Chris Barnes has the most?
Walter Ray does with 55
you gotta do osku palerma
How about Anthony Simonsen? Or Jakob Buttruff, in my opinion underrated bowler.
Man you missed so many Holman stuff. It’s crazy. Go look at him bowling Pederson for Randy’s first major. I know like 3 or 4 others
Tandy beat Holman by over 100
Do Del Ballard
Both of those gutter balls should have been strikes. Marshall couldn't get a break that day
Worst of Michal haugan jr? Or Mika kouveniemi?
The Right Lane, Thank you for doing the Analysis of the 5 Worst Moments from Marshall Holman. Also, The Moment that stood out was the Double Gutter during the 2nd match of the American Bowling Congress fall Classic. Also, Could you do the 5 Worst Moments of Sean Rash?
So many bad moments for diaper rash, it'll be good to watch
Are you def dummmmb & blind? Trolling on your behalf will get a bowling ball in your foot!
well marshell holman.. now do mark roth!
Did Marshall intentionally roll the second ball in the channel? How about a top 5 worst moments for Earl Anthony?
I say no way
@@bnegs521 He rolled the ball almost exactly the same way. He also didn’t have much of a reaction when he did it.
@jimmcclements5229 He was such a competitor on TV I just can't see him doing that purpoaely
'87 couldn't have been too bad for Holman. He WAS elected Player Of The Year, despite not winning any titles that year. Perish the thought they elect Pete Weber, even though he DID win the T of C, right?
IIRC The membership voted for Holman purely because Weber was giving everyone the shits that year and was at the height of his coke/boozing antics days.
Holman earned over $150,000 that year, won the George Young Memorial high average, was points leader on Tour, cashed in a very percentage of events and made seven TV shows.
Did Marshall Holman ever have a full head of hair?

Remember when Holman bowled Tom Baker and in a close match Holman complained about the approach? So they came down and made the approach slicker and Baker slid right through it on his next shot resulting in a FOUL giving Holman the win!
That's not correct. It was MARK Baker at the title match in the 1986 Firestone TOC.
Baker was sticking on Lane 28 and the approach was cleaned during the first commercial break by Larry Lichstein. Holman out of the commercial break slips on that spot and misses a 2 pin followed by Baker sliding over the lime and fouling (he struck on that shot too).
It probably cost him the match as he would've had a lengthy string going. Not Holman's fault at all.
@Igloo3471 mark baker Tom baker tomato tomato you knew who I meant and it COST BAKER THE MATCH. PERIOD
@Igloo3471 foul LINE not foul LIME like you wrote I never heard of a FOUL LIME 😄😄
@@Igloo3471 a foul LIME 🤣 😂
@@bnegs521 Go and take your meds please.
Mark Roth?
Except for the foul light and gutter ball moments , the others weren’t that bad , I mean Pete Weber bad that is
How about the best Mike Durbin moments? Worst Mike Durbin moments?
Joe Ciccone worst moment
You got all the way down to #2 before you got to an actual bad moment. The first the were just losses in the finals, one of which you didn't even have a video of. Pretty lame video, IMHO.
Not only is marshall hollman unlikeable in every degree, he doesnt even translate his ass energy into the booth, which would be the one positive thing that it would serve. Instead. he talks like he is chronically on xanax. He just absolutely refused to have any contribution in bowling.
Maybe he is chronically on xanax now for his anger issues lmao
I like him when he is talking bowling
@@bnegs521 ngl I kinda do too, but I don’t really care for his antics on the lanes and his cockiness
@@Ewigi I think that was part of his shtick when he was a bowler but off the lanes he's a different guy
