Earl Anthony is the "Natural" of bowling! Best bowler of all time.

If someone plays a sport long enough they can break records. Earl bowled far less tournament then Walter Ray. I would like see how many tournaments Belmo has bowled since there are even less tournaments now. It's like Pete Rose setting the MLB hits record when he played far more games than Ty Cobb and was not nearly the same caliber of hitter Cobb was.

I don’t know. I just don’t feel the excitement of drama watching bowling.

I get distractions can happen and are annoying, but when you’re playing in a large league tournament, there are distractions all around you. You gotta learn to tune them out like us amateurs.

How is EJ Tackett a pro?

I like a bowler who as passion about his sport.

As a lifelong bowler of more than 60 years and as a Brunswick mechanic and lane man I take the position that you don't need to throw the ball that hard. A bit less speed will leave more pins on the deck to potentially take out other pins. It's also less wear and tear on the body.

Take plastic balls for instance: Modern WD of mine has coverstock 3/8inch or so, chipping off pieces in less than a year. An Older Maxim with much thicker coverstock is still thrown, slammed & sat onto by trill seeking folks as a 'houseball'.. Yet no such issue has been seen. Senior players i knew, owned 1 ball & that's all they had. 10-20 years hardly a crack. Leads me to think- How a bowling alley sustains, if their assets crack & bust ever so frequent?

Kinda like amateur boxers that didn't do well in the pros, like Howard Davis or Tyrell Biggs, who didn't last long. Or great college players in football or basketball who didn't do as well in the pros. Wow shoulder injury and 7 knee surgeries. That's rough dude.

I am glad to see this video. I bowled in the Munster Lanes Classic league in 1983 when Eugene was 16 and just started with the big boys. He never threw the ball that hard as the shot was a 4th arrow block shot. I just turned 74 and my team shot 3569 and was third high in the league.😊

Aj’s release on tv is so much different than it is during the rest of the tournament. He’s so smooth and creates a good flat spot during qualifying but on the show he gets steep and thumbs it every time he gets on the show creating an inconsistent breakpoint.

The way the crowd goes dead fucking silent sometimes is wild. Not even a reaction of disappointment. Just complete silence.

Had to bop in and check this out. Used to watch bowling on wide world of sports in the mid 70's. Also fond memories of bowling with him on Sunday mornings at Del Rio Lanes. The vids are a much later era by and large.

The Right Lane, That was a fantastic upload of the Worst Moments from A.J. Johnson from the past Seasons on the Pba Tour. Also, The Worst Moments from A.J. Johnson that stood out were The Title match of the 2015 USBC Masters against Jason Belmonte, and the 2nd Match of the Cheetah Championship against Joseph Grondin. Also, I am looking forward to the next Best of or Worst Moments from the Pro Bowlers from the Past Seasons on the Pba Tour.

I don’t really know him or know a lot about bowling. But Johnson seems to have a very sweeping hook on the ball so, in my very amateur prospective, I’m not surprised with the spares he’s leaving.

I think we also forget the 40 some odd games that it took the bowlers to get to this point. Once you’re in the step ladder you are at the mercy of luck. But getting there was raw skill
