- HERE YOU WILL SEE THE NORTH HUDSON REGIONAL FIRE AND RESCUE DEPARTMENT, ALONG WITH MULTIPLE MUTUAL AID COMPANIES, BATTLING A MAJOR 6TH ALARM FIRE IN 2 MULTIPLE DWELLINGS ON JANE STREET IN WEEHAWKEN, NEW JERSEY.
Even without the aid of listening to their communication you called another solid play by play of the action. Your knowledge of these scenarios and actions is astounding. 👍👍
With other videos of this fire we couldn't make heads or tails of what was happening. You brought great clarity to the visual.
Bravo to NH Firefighters. Thanks to you for going “out of district” into New Jersey. Intense fire, great video. Cheers. 👍✅
Keep saying the same thing. You are the best at what you do That’s why you are the king of prime time Be safe my friend
JJ a devastating 6 alarm fire.....excellent coverage by Squad 99.....we thank you for venturing out of the city to be on scene 👍
Dam that's a lot of fire when I was a volunteer fireman we responded to a similar incident. Some guy had been evicted from one of the apartments and he went back and lit the building up. It took 4 other houses with it and displaced several families.
Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.
WOW! THAT IS MESSED UP WHAT THAT GUY DID.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
Great work by NHRFD. Limited manpower and heavy fire throughout the two frames and they were able to protect the exposure 2 building
Great Work Brother, That Was Some Real firefighting Going On For sure. Stay safe My Friend. Dizzy.
As close as those homes are, they would have to have magnificent tower ladders. They really did a amazing job
Holy Smoke (and unholy flames, too)!! That was BAD and appeared to be hotter than Hades’ Lava. I am surprised that the aerial ladder did not melt and collapse as well. The companies did a fine job to not lose the whole street and, especially, the white house. However, in my heart and soul, nothing, and no one can compare to the FDNY. Awesome footage, JJ. You are the #1 MAN!
🔥❤️🔥🚒❤️🔥🔥
Thank you for bringing us more regional content
Great video, thanks for crossing the river.
JJ nice catch, couple FDNY tower ladder and the fire wouldn't stand a chance lol.
For crossing the river you still caught a lot of fire you never disappoint with your videos.
John, great coverage! Crazy fire. Horrific. Are these single family dwellings? These buildings are so close to each other. I hope no one was seriously injured. The multiple Agencies did a tremendous job knocking this down. Blessings to all of them. Blessings to you John. Please stay safe.
I hate seeing things like this. My heart goes out to everyone involved. This was ferocious. Thank you for the great coverage John, Stay safe out there
How many homes caught fire in this particular fire from hell?
Great job with the explanatory verbiage, others don’t match up. Thanx John.
Amazing that they held it from exposures 2&4. Great video JJ.
Great coverage, as always John!! Just a reminder, never touch the vehicles when walking by because if an aerial (or any other) truck becomes energized by power lines, you then become the path to ground and will be electrocuted. Operators on the trucks are safe as long as they do not touch the ground and truck at the same time. Same goes for a downed line on your personal vehicle. Remain in car until line is de-energized. If you must exit due to fire, jump from vehicle so you are not touching the car and the ground simultaneously.
Aires on jury duty once for a person who became electrified by touching a bucket truck and they were suing the electric company
Great job John as always man that fire was crazy.Excellent job NHRF&R and the other company's that helped battle this fire.Stay safe everyone and be blessed.
Always interesting to see fires like this in older cities. Fire codes for residences like these were slim and none in the early 1900's. Power lines were placed in areas where there were not many other options but to place them like you saw at this fire. The thought at the time was that a lot of people were needing a place to live and power for them as cheaply and as fast as they could get them. Of course it was natural for folks to not think about how close the house next to you was and what will happen if there is a fire. That "always" happen to someone else. The planners and code writers in the last 20 to 25 years correctly tried to "fix' the threat by requiring fire rated construction on the walls of close adjoining structures like these, with the hope that fires would not spread as easily. They later required residential sprinkler systems to lower fire spread, in some jurisdictions. As time has gone on the residential construction industry has lobbied to reduce or even eliminate these requirements in the name of "cost". Your video is a great example of why that is not a smart idea.
Whew - that was truly a mess. The house on the left side - I could see flames in the peak before the main collapse happened. Good catch, John.
Great coverage, John. I used to live down the block from there. These are old wood frame buildings built around the turn of the century. Most are two family dwellings. If you have a radio you can adjust the frequency is 154.145. Keep yourself safe.
Great Coverage, J.J.! Thank you very much for the best coverage! Hopefully, there weren't any injuries to F.D. members or civilians. Prayers to the victims who, lost their homes and everything in them. That's a real shame.
The F.D. did a good job containing the fire mostly, to the original building(s) involved. No RAC this time, but be safe, J.J., and I look forward to your next video. "Everybody Goes Home."
Great work great video you’re one of the best.
Yo my brotha you been on the grind for real it’s your trucking brotha from the Bronx be safe out there appreciate the video’s
Great work John. You always give the best coverage!! Stay safe
JJ. You the man!
Ty JJ great job as always what a burner. Best to all affected. God bless!!
Hey John!! I always love your coverage in New Jersey… I glad that Kearny FD is also helping out their fellow firefighters…because I’m from Kearny…shout out to the other Fire Departments as well…keep up the good work, I hope everyone got out safe.
Very busy in the Garden State, fire in Jersey City,a major wildfire in Ocean County, and another wildfire in Northern New Jersey.Stay safe out there,John
Just recently found your guys. I am binge watching!
Wow John, this is one serious fire. Such heat and flames! Praying for their members and the residents.
Another great video John, thanks….
Wow this was a horrific fire... Great filming be safe thanks!!!👍
Awesome job covering the fire. Great job by firefighters saving those other houses.
John, you’ve seen more fire than some firemen ! Keep up the good work. This fire tells me they have water supply problems. 👨🏻🚒
Oh yeah, I remember this one buddy. There was some real issues trying to set the power ladder out front. And it was a possibility of arson. Crazy, But real good coverage of the fire and assessment. Enjoy when you Skyler help on the best way to communicate to both channels and subscribers. Keep up the good work.
WELL, THAT IS MOST KIND OF YOU AND OF COURSE THANKS SO VERY MUCH.....
Fires are horrendous PRAYING FOR NEW JERSEY RIGHT NOW 💙💙
Great job! You always do such great video's. Be Safe & thanks for sharing!
GREAT RESPONSE OF DIFFERENT AGENCY!!!!! AND GREAT FILMING !!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
WOW!! That was an inferno. Great job saving the exposures. I used to go to see a friend in Brick and we used to drive to Weehawken to take a bus into the city for a day of fun. Great job John.
Great coverage as usual John. Weehawken is right off 495 out of Lincoln Tunnel. Spectacular fire. Hope all are safe.
All are safe.
207 was a three-family building, landlord ground floor and basement, two floors above built as apartments. 209, last time I saw it, was for two families, ground and second floor were contained, top floor could be sublet. 207 was my father's childhood home, 209 was bought by his sister and brother-in-law when they were in their 20s or 30s in the early 1970s, neither house was owned by a member of my extended family past the 1990s when my aunt and cousins moved out of 209, and my grandparents in 207 passed.
Great coverage as always! As you become more famous, you man need to wear be disguised 😊
Thank-you! John
As usual JJ you did a great job covering this fire stay safe
BRAVO to everyone working that fire!!! Incredible job saving that white house. I know this area and it could have been so much worse the way those houses are so close to each other. Awesome area to live with quick access to the city. Excellent capture and coverage JJ!!
Wow excellent video John For being not too familiar with the area & the various fire dept.'s you did great in getting in there & filming what you needed to film Sorry for the people loosing their homes. --- Debbie
As close as the structures are, its amazing the other homes didn’t go up.
You were due to catch a big one John. Great job protecting the exposers. I noticed the hand lines and deck gun doing that from the word go. As always, thanks John and be safe
Excellent job by N Hudson brothers and sisters and mutual aid companies. Very close exposures all around a couple of fully involved structures. Did I hear you say Montclair, if so that’s quite a distance from there. You also mentioned one of the many buff club canteen units that are like FDNY RAC units. One of the more popular ones is the Box 54 club in Teaneck. Also water supply is surprisingly good since the water is pumped all the way from Haworth. This was one of my area’s in my buffing days.
You didn't mention the Gong Club from Jersey City. They cover Hudson County with their canteen vehicle.
Tower ladder and Ladder towers are two different types of equipment. A ladder tower like in this video has a ladder that you can climb up and down, a tower ladder like FDNY has a bucket but only an escape ladder.
Great video John. Love it
GLAD YOU LIKED IT AND THANKS SO MUCH TJERK.....
Hey John. Great coverage as usual. FDNY uses the Aerialscope which is a tower ladder. The ladder on the boom of the Aerialscope is for emergency/ escape use only. Most other fire truck manufacturers (Pierce, Sutphen, E-One, etc) make ladder towers. The basket hangs on the end of a ladder which can be used to climb up and down. My personal opinion is that the Aerialscope is the cream of the crop! Take care sir.
Great job everyone. This is such dangerous work. Bless them all.
I have been delivering building supplies to the house on the right of the fire for a few months now. Where the houses that were burned down is still an open empty lot. Always amazes me the dangers of buildings so close together. As a truck driver we hate going to these areas because of congestion.
great footage as always, in case ur curious..tower ladder refers to a boom and bucket with no ladder to climb to the bucket (only the emergency one with no side rails, for emergency egress) a ladder tower has the full ladder to the bucket
WOW. Horrible fire and great job by the FDs involved, and especially great coverage by John.
Another great video 📸
In alot of your video's I see firemen with no urgency and many standing around doing nothing like the FDNY! Not this fire dept! I liked everything I saw! Firemen moving with urgency and the tactics they used to try and save the next door houses with the difficult situation of wires and trees in the way! Well done!!!
They did an amazing job in such close quarters of the houses, awesome job, great knock down time too
No worries good job man thank you God bless the family's
John, even in unfamiliar area you still put out a great video and commentary so thanks for that. BTW...Thanks for slowing down your turns, it was a pleasure to watch. Please be careful of the smoke and be safe.
How is the apartment coming? I just watched your video of your last redo, came out nice. I've lived in a studio apartment and if utilized correctly can be quite cosy.
With that said...c u on the other side 😋
A big fire with a lot off companies working on it , they did a good job, hope everybody was ok, very nice footage John thnx.
"Nor will I remind you how often, when the midnight-bells make you tremble for your combustible town, you have fled to the Town-Pump, and found me always at my post, firm, amid the confusion, and ready to drain my vital current in your behalf." ~Nathaniel Hawthorne, Rill from the Town Pump
DANG MAN,WENT FROM ANGRY TO STRIGHT PI$$ED OFF ! SO MANY WIRES,WOW! THANK YOU MAJ ! 🇺🇲
Incredible heavy fire johnn😮
What a monster! Great job for the members to save the white house and get that blaze knocked down.
Excellent video, John! You showed it just like it was - a wall of flame devouring everything. Stay safe out there, my friend.
What a 🔥. I've learned alot from watching your videos. I noticed that at times the flame was green must of had gas in the house. I saw the one where the fire was under the street and it was gas fed. Beautiful colors but scary. Thanks for sharing
Dude, great job. You are literally getting wet from the hose and the firemen are letting you do your thing right by the truck. I was afraid you might just walk in the house. Fantastic job. (And you were not in the way)
Thanks for your excellent coverage of this one; looked like nasty business, and good job by the FD for saving the exposure bldgs....Busy times in Jersey, it looks like!
great catch as allways, bro jj.
Great video jj
Fantastic footage John... Yes, very tight narrow streets. North Hudson is THEE most densely populated area in the entire U.S. with 15,693 people per square mile. I don't even know how they get the trucks down some of these streets but they do. Feel terrible for these poor people who lost everything.
Not easy sometimes.
Boy you get around . Good job
What? No RAC over there. C'mon Man. I'm thirsty.
Those wires must be the bain of the superheroes lives .very dangerous too I bet x🎉
Geesh they shouldn’t build houses so close this was huge !! Great work your MUCH appreciated
Whoa, that was an intense one! Great job to the all the fire fighters! Thank you for your coverage.
Great video, Good stop for the firefighters. Stay safe
Great video, JJ! They did a great job saving the white house (exposure 2?). I wonder what might have benn with newer construction, like vinyl siding. Thanks!
thank you so much. Not much sleep last night so hope you have time today to catch up on some zzzzzzzz
I can't get use to how close the house's are in NY and all over here. Ya just don't see that in the midwest. Well you did a really great job covering this fire. And I always enjoy seeing the equipment in the streets. Thanks brother.👍👍👍
These places are called “cities” they typically consist of a lot of people
Chicago is one in the Midwest
Oh yes,,,, in Milwaukee where I live they are that close in older areas of the city. Sometimes one house fire becomes 3 in a hurry.
Some people believe the midwest to be the states from mid wisconsin to the east side of the rockie mts. Denver, Omaha, Kansas City , Oklahoma, Texas are midwest to those of us who live here. Easterners might call it the Great Plains. On my block there is a 32' house on a 35' lot 8 ft from one neighbor and 4 ' on other side. I live in 1885 original farm house in this section. My house 25' square and my lot 150' ft square so my closest neighbor is about 75', then I am on a corner so other two sides houses are across street. But I was born just outside of NYC when my father was a student at NYU and have lived and worked in Boston and DC and Minneapolis/St Paul but I like my space, I can even keep chickens and have a large cement burning pit because my neighbors are so far away. When we get 40 inches of snow it would be nice to have a little shorter sidewalk. The city is 5 times larger than when I was a kid and even though we have zoning and building codes our fire dept is 7x bigger and police 9x bigger. My neighborhood FD response averages 2.5 minutes Police it is about 90 seconds. We have 3 old ladies who rotate police calls for noise, drunks and drugies it is my turn 2 nights a week. The cops drive by at least 1x every 30 minutes at night. When-if you retire I will send JJ an invite to visit.
@@suesmith5746 Sue, you're lucky about your emergency response times. In Milwaukee wi,, my FD is fast but police are at least 1/2 hour to no response at all. Very short staffed here. Milwaukee is #7 on the list of most dangerous cities to live in. Our FD rivals New York on saving structures. They've been extra busy this past month.
That was one angry fire!
INDEED IT WAS JAMES.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
Jane Street is a narrow dead end street. I don't know if it's still there, but there was a small single engine firehouse near the end of the street. Overhead wires always are a major hindrance for firefighting operations.
Very nice! Cheers
This thing was going when I went to bed saw a still photo on nyc fire wire the smoke was coming into the city nice coverage my friend 40:04
Unbelievable fire. Your coverage incredible. Amazing firefighters. I'm in awe. I just hope the property was uninhabited. It would be terrible to see your home destroyed like that.
I can't imagine living in such close quarters to other people for many reasons, this being one of them. My thoughts go out to the families affected by this.
I HEAR YA......THANKS SO MUCH.....
Thanks for covering that job John. Once they established a good water supply, they knocked it down rather quickly and saved the white house next door. Thanks John.
Great coverage JJ. What a shame. I hope that White House makes it.
Great video! Horrible fire.
IT WAS A VERY BAD FIRE INDEED AND THANKS SO MUCH CHERI.....
JOHN .... YOU BIG SMOOOOZER !! LOL , MUCH LOVE FROM TEXAS BROTHER !!!!
Tight area to work in. Were the house connected? Equipment failure is never good. JJ you done really well with water on the lense 👍🚒👍🚒
I see two electric services that melted off the two fire buildings. Power is still on for the street evidenced by the Christmas lights still on with the house next door. Stay safe out there John.
Great job saving the house next door!
Great video John. Those old wooden structures. What can we say? If I ever get a house built I’m gonna get a bunch of granite blocks and build it with them.
Fires like this is hard to battle to start with when you have multiple structures, but when you have that many cables impeding the department's ability to use aerial assets on makes it more difficult. 2 1/2 hand lines can only do so much with that much fire, ladder trucks and deck guns help a great deal but when power and phones lines are blocking the way then the battle gets that much harder.
Waouh heavy Fire two house
And that cardinal sang the entire time!
