Imagine being a murderer and all the dead people are hunting you down
That would be cool actually.
Yeah but they dont know that they died, so they wouldnt know who killed them
Imagine if you were a victim, and could now seek justice.

The wife's mayor knew tho. There's no other explanation. How did she know? Are they the acutal ones?
@@sneez9461 it was literally stated in the video that the returnees remembered dying. like Matthieu, he explained to Rachel what happened the day he died
This guy is a proof that so many of "bad" movies are actually have a cool concept..
like most "bad" movies with good concepts, they just fail to hit the mark. like the ending to this story.
@@jdogsful yeah I was really annoyed how they never gave closure on the whole living dead thing.
Maybe that was the point since it's about dead people and you don't always get closure but it still felt pretty weak to end so anticlimacticaly
@Don’t worry about it yeah but the premise is interesting and if told by someone who's a decent film maker then it could have been amazing or at least good
@Don’t worry about it 🗿👍
Rubble
The fact that none of them turned into brain eating mindless zombies as a twist, makes it actually kinda cool. The ending was really sad for Mathieu and Rachel though.
The fact that no one replied is weird :0
They are more like dementia patients than zombies, wandering, nothing remains but old memories lack of emotions, etc etc
@Kean not everyone is a trend chasing sheep like you
@@jimbull6630 wouldn't having dementia always make the patient depressed?
You again.... when I click a CZcams video you are always there!
"They Came Back" doesn't just focus on the socio-political problems that having a mass of functioning undead could cause. The film's ending emphasizes the central theme of how we choose to accept the death of a loved one and grieve. During the conclusion, the Returned all try to walk away at night, go into a tunnel, and disappear into the afterlife. Yet, through three sets of characters during this ending, we see the varied reactions to this phenomenon.
The Mayor finds his returned wife Martha , and although he tries to take her back home, he ultimately chooses to join her in death. Six-year-old, returned Sylvain spends much of the film at night clawing to get out of his home and finally does by the ending despite his parents Isham and Véronique declaring that they will never lose him again. And Mathieu finally details what happened on the night of his fatal crash to his wife, Rachel , before leaving her forever. With the Mayor, we witness an acceptance of not only a loved one's death but also his own. Meanwhile, Sylvain's parents represent denial, as they can't let go of their son. And finally, Rachel gets closure and a proper chance to say goodbye to Mathieu.
Wow!!!! this explains alot
Brilliant explanation
That's a perfect explanation! The steps of grief
I think it would make it harder that way
That is hard, especially towards my family and loved ones.
The fact this is not a zombie movie is awesome!
When you cheat on a test you want to fail , but you pass
@@tfmotion2070 wtf
the cringe. Probably a bot
Yeah it was a like a zombie horror where the zombies were weird instead of scary.
@@bl8388 but I feel like the weirdness of this makes it alot more scary.
My take is that it's an obvious metaphor for grief. Many people had possibly moved on but if anyone were to face this situation, having a loved one come back from the dead, we think it would be the same as always, but it wouldn't. They'd know what happens after death, how meaningless earthly life was, that's why they are sluggish and don't really innovate or have initiative, they know what happens at the end. They experienced feeling no pain, no sickness, so they are not interested in being alive anymore.
They act based on the memories from their lives but I think it's just the way their families remembered them, that's why they can't come up with new things, because they are gone. It's difficult for some of the living people to let them go, so they also struggle with the return.
The message I get is that we must accept death and remember the ones we've lost but never to expect to have them back on this earth.
I'm an atheist so honestly it's tough to think how their lives ended and there were things that could never be said, how there's no "afterlife" to enjoy and for them to look out for me, but it's also way easier for me to come to terms about how death is inevitable and just the way it is, and to let go of them.
I also find it easier to let go of others even with religion.
Hey, this is just me on a daily basis.
That's a whole nice essay. Great thought
GOD IS GOOD, OH GOD IS GREAT 😡 GOD IS GOOO...OOOOO...OOOOOD 😡 AUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAHHHHHHH 💀💀💀
hola
I always find it odd that in every movie/book scenario where people come back from the dead, like returning from the Thanos snap, the populous is always happy to have their spuse, kid, grandparent etc back. There is never a plot where someone is horified that their abusive spouse or disabled to the point of burden kid comes back. As someone who had an abusive father who later became bed bound for 4 years and finally died; it was a relief he was gone. I feel for all those who had their worst relationships come back.
Well for one thing, a person in a movie that hated their disabled child coming back, wouldn't be seen in a positive light. The truth is only people who don't deserve to have children, would feel relief, to have their child die. Losing a child, is the most painful, horrible experience, anyone could go through. For a lot of people death brings denial, so I could very much see that despite a spouse being abusive, the living spouse might initially be happy. Of course that happiness wouldn't last.
Same here. I also had a dad who was not the best father. After he died I would sometimes have nightmares that he was still alive.
@@josephyu1527 Yeah, the previous reply I got from Gregory Mouton opened my eyes that some can't empathize with the uncomfortable idea of having an abusive relationship or a signifigantly disabled dependent relationship coming to a peacefule end and actually being grateful. I wish you healing. Child abuse is no joke and it sticks with you well into adulthood.
Nobody is telling you to take them back
I kinda want to see how a kid that is "disabled to the point of burden" makes it home lol. Yes, I know, that's terrible
The thing I like about this channel is how they find movies people barely know of and puts humour into the video, unlike some others who just read the Wikipedia page using a bot

Same here. I looked at the bottom and saw the vid was nearly over, and was like WHAT!!
although it’s a bit unsatisfying that it just ends i feel like the reason it does is because death is kinda like that, it leaves us asking ourselves why has this happened to me when we lose a loved one and ultimately life will never give us that answer. we lose people that we love so dearly and feel like the world took them on purpose to hurt us or to make us grow but in reality it’s just the way life is and we can either accept it like rachel, deny it like the parents or the saddest imo follow our loved ones to the grave like the mayor and martha. maybe the fact the dead blew up a bunch of shit before they disappeared is kinda representing how death comes and wrecks the lives of those left behind mourning. i haven’t watched the full movie so idk but i feel like from what i know this movie was intentionally leaving it on such a unsatisfying ending
lmao there is no reason. the movie is just bad. why did they blow stuff up? why did they hide their intelligence? why did they have meetings? nothing is explained. you are trying to find an entire plotline and message that doesnt exist and wrote a whole paragraph on it. dont get sucked into bad writing because you think you are intelligent. realize what you are watching was just lazy, not only that but you are basing this all off a literal recap. quite hilarious.

People who suicided:
“Ah shit, here we go again”
It’s crazy how that we are in one lonely space .on a planet and we have one life if you do sum to harm you you will die and never see anything again.I think people should be proud of we’re are we .and foucos on making something for humans to never die
@@osamabit8454 when you have a life that’s not worth living you’d understand them. But you don’t because you have a good life.
Some may call them weak, but in the end is their choice. Life IS cruel.
@@No_handle-_- i mean im not talking about them .but knowing that we are in one lonely space made of nothing it’s crazy.and knowing that if you really do anything that will harm u u could never see life again..ppl should b proud of were they are
@@osamabit8454 Yoo, I don’t know how old you are but if you’re young I hope you get can come up with a conclusión to my claims:
I get what you are getting at, life IS cruel, but it is also PRECIOUS. I’m not here to tell you why self-harm or suicide is good or bad because ultimately it is wrong.
But I’m Open Minded and sometimes we just have to hear the Stone Hard Truth, and it can be painful.
If you have a life that is just pain, people will want to COPE depending on each one’s way of viewing at things.
Some may just kill themselves or kill others because of the damage they were inflicted. Some may not accept the reality of their situation and create false fantasies which will probably end up hurting even more.
Whatever the case, it still stands that even if one has so much HOPE or FAITH on something a lot of times (not fact checked but dependable on the person) such HOPES or FAITHS will never be realized.
When that happens many will just give up. If you try to help them it will be hard because they don’t see the world as YOU anymore or others.
But if you show them how life can be BAD and also GOOD. With a lot of love, and empathy you will save countless lives.
That’s one of my goals. To save people from the ever growing new death cause: suicide. They even say that eventually it will surpass the death toll for other things and will be considered worrisome.
@@No_handle-_- everyone is the same no different between each other .if you want to be successful you can if you just wan focus on the suicidal and stuff that’s you

Thats what old people in eastern europe dress like
@@whostolethebeans4537
Are they buried on those clothes tho?
@@calamorta In Eastern Europe (90% Orthodox Christians), mature men and women are buried in formal suits or their best clothes. Unmarried women used to be buried in a wedding gown, but now this is done only by very religious families. Career military men are buried in their uniforms. Usually families discuss this in advance, because it is very important to grant the wishes of the dead. My grandmother told us she wanted to be buried with her favorite fur coat and we granted her wish. I told them I don't want a wedding gown but my uniform, if I die young and unmarried. One never knows how much time one has, so make the most of it!

I might be mistaken but I think this is an allegory for the return of many thousand displaced and presumed dead after WWII. Land, property, possessions, jobs etc had been reallocated/stolen so returnees and areas they returned to faced some of the same issues. The emotional/cognitive differences were due to the trauma of being kept in camps and tortured.
