I used The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid as a stepping stone to condition my skin for greater strengths. I also like using it in the summer because it doesn't cause irritation on my skin. At 61 I think stem factors do as much as anything for the texture and quality of my skin. Thanks Karen 🌞

Looking fantastic Karen. I am on my third month of Dermatica. Have had no problem and in fact my first pics were not good enough for them so it took 3 weeks for them to be analysed. The cream is lovely and I have not had burning or any adverse effects. I started my 3rd month yesterday and this morning I feel that it is possible for the age spots to be a thing of the past.

Thanks for the review. I've been using Retirides from Farmacia Andorra for about 6 months and I love it. For the first 2 months I used the 0.05%, but I peeled like there was no tomorrow, and the flakiness just got too intense, so I now use the 0.025% and it's perfect. Just be mindful that there might be an extra charge due to tax and customs now that we're no longer in the EU. Funnily enough, I was using the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 6 beforehand, which I also loved. It has a strange (but not unpleasant) smell, and you need to wash your pillowcases more often due to the tint, but I loved how moisturising it was. x

I'm using Dermatica and I'm one of the lucky ones I guess as its 0.5 Tretinoin and apart from a small amount of itching and peeling in the first week, iv had absolutely know reactions what so ever. However you have made a wonderful point about the fact its not 100% Tretinoin, as it has Niacinamide and Lactic acid in too. So I'm really going to think about either getting an Adapaline gel to use with it or swap to one that's just Tretinoin. Thanks hun 😘

No. O.O25 wouldn't do anything. Start on 0.1% for 3 or 4 weeks (use every 3 days then No Actives whatsoever on the other days) then if it's being tolerated find - move up to 0.2 for another 3 or 4 weeks, once every 3 days - then move onto O.5 for about 6 weeks, once every 3 days. After that move up to 0.75% for 6 weeks then eventually 1%. To get decent results though - you need to be using at least 0.1% - & if psbl after building up slowly; 0.5%. If you cannot tolerate stronger than 0.5% it's fine - you can use that every 3 days & you should see some results even so, within a few months - at least 3 months. (I've never heard of anybody using 0.025% though!) - maybe she meant 0.2%. (& it's best not to use it everyday, espc at first - once every 3 days or every 2 days is better (skin cycling means that you stand less risk of irritation; you just don't need to use it, every day - every 3 days is good, & maybe every 2, if you rlly want to - but every 3 days will cause car less irritation (using it every day - & finding you cannot tolerate can make ppl decide that they cannot use Retinol - so every 3 days is best if you don't want to risk irritation unnecessarily. (& If you struggle to tolerate it, best you use it with a layer of squalene, to stop you getting dry/flaky - or you can use Retinol/Tretinoin sandwiched between 2 layers of simple, good but plain (none Actives) moisturiser. Inkey list even make a 0.2% Retinol in Squalene💜💜 & a 0.5% in Squalene & a 0.75 & 1% all in Squalene which you could use to gradually build up tolerance for actual Tretinoin or any actual Retinol💜💜Make sure it is Retinol though - not "Retinol Palmitate"🙈💜or any Esters or whatever. (& look for serums which don't have silicones🚫 or polymers🚫 - some of them are loaded with those; & when you wake up you'll think yr skin looks great - but then when you wash yr face the effects of those 0.2% "Retinol Palmitate" or similar will wash of with the silicones/polymers - & nothing will have changed at all, rlly. (Many of these "Retinol Palmitate" or similar "Secondary Retinol products" - i.e anything that isn't Actual Retinol have loads of silicones & polymers - & such as the Palmitate - they to go through "several stages" to become Retinol ergo they're far far weaker than the 0.2% etc that they list on the label.) Only Tretinoin or actual Retinol is really worth using - but actual SPF 60 - is a must forever after - & also if yr in direct sunlight, you need to top up every 2hrs. Otherwise Morning, Midday & 4pm ish for ppl who work or stay, in direct sunlight, Retinol makes you extremely sensitive to sunlight - & if you don't protect yourself you undo all the good done & cause a lot of even worse sun damage. (It's fine if you after all the "building up gradually" you can only tolerate 0.5 though - it's great if you can use 2% but you will get actual results with regular 0.5% (that aren't dependent on silicone/polymers)🙏💜

I get a prescription of Tretinoin (aha 0..05) in the U.S. for my mild milia. I asked my dermatologist for Dufferin available at Target and he said that’s perfectly ok. just a lighter version of it. I’m planning to give it a try since even using a lighter method would help to open up the stubborn milia, luckily it is very mild. And it’ll be a bit cheaper too.

Differin did not work for anti-aging on my skin. I used it for 9 months. I use the Curology subscription service in the US and am very happy it. They use photos but ask you to take more pictures if they can't see your skin as well as they feel they need to.They started me at .02% and recently moved me to .035% when I asked them to consider It after 6 months of .02%. They did want more pictures and suggested alternating it with my .02% that I had left over. I use it over moisturizer nightly. Tretinoin made a big difference that I was not seeing with 1% retinol after at least a year of nightly use.

I have used Dermatica before for 4 months but didn’t really seen results. My personal opinion of why it would be is that in the ingredients they use dimethicone, so I think that any kind of silicones actually prevents actives such as tretinoin from proper penetration but that’s just what I believe. Then I switched to Skin and me and while I prefer it over Dermatica as they don’t use silicones in their formulas, I still didn’t really seen dramatic changes on my skin...and bear in mind I use 0.06% tretinoin. The wrinkles on my forehead are just as deep as they were and I used tretinoin from these 2 companies for a total of over 6 months now so I would expect some slight results but unfortunately I don’t notice any improvement at all. My conclusion is that maybe it’s not only a matter of using silicones but also the actives other than tretinoin because I had it mixed with azelaic acid and niacinamide. So I actually will be purchasing Obagi tretinoin online, thank you for that video. I’m thinking of adopting similar skincare such as Melissa55 as she seems to be very successful with Obagi, so my new plan is to get the 0.1% tretinoin from Obagi + their Exfoderm and Blender. These 2 I found to be available in most affordable price from Skincity but they only have versions without prescription (no hydroquinone) and hope this will help me to finally start seeing results because I’m really discouraged after the experience with Dermatica and Skin and Me. But that’s just my experience, many people actually love these companies. I just wanted to share my personal thoughts and lack of results.
