    I have used Tretinion around my eyes, face, neck, decollete, arms and legs for 17 years. I use the .025 strength. No side affects. I am 67 years old and most people think I am in my 50's. Remember, I have been using nightly for 17 years. Now after so many years, I do skip some nights but I try not to. Everyone is amazed at my skin. I can go without makeup and look great. I have no wrinkles or sun spots. I also do not go out in the sun. I prefer gorgeous, tight skin to the damage caused by the sun.

    This month I'm coming up to 17 months on Tret 0.05% and 3 months on Adipeau. At about 12 months I started applying the Tret on damp skin for deeper penetration. Fortunately recently on your channel Ivan (Adipeau) stated that the deeper penetration of Tret could damage fat cells. Full stop on the Tret on damp skin for me. I appreciate the subjects approached on your channel. Very helpful. Thank you.

    Hi there:). Have just found your channel and am really enjoying it. I started dermatica about 8 months ago and its the best thing I have done! I get mine with 3 monthly hydroquinone then a break from it for a few months as I had quite severe melasma with large brown patches over my face. This has now almost completely gone and I couldnt be happier. It looked like I had goggles on! Lol. Will definately be using the tret for the foreseeable future. X

    I started with curology last November I believe and initially they had me on a .0005 and I was pretty disappointed because it's such a low dose but over time, I've increased and am now at a 0.05. I also switched from curology to agency because curology is more geared towards youthful skin and acne whereas agency is more for aging skin and I am 41. I love their compounds and I really appreciate their slow approach because it's kept me from having any major issues that others have experienced. I still do all of my skin care first before applying my tretinoin because it's been proven that it works just as well as if you apply it before anything else and it helps prevent dryness and irritation. I definitely see a noticeable difference in my skin from when I started which is very exciting! I believe the trifecta for anti-aging is sunscreen, retinoids and antioxidants in that order. As long as you're protecting your skin from sun damage, using a retinoid of any kind your skin can tolerate and incorporating antioxidants into your routine which help boost the effectiveness of your sunscreen, everything else is secondary. I enjoy my multi-step skincare routine so I won't be giving up anything anytime soon haha, but if I had to pick three things, those would be the ones for me ❤️

    I’ve tried a few subscription retinoids, I started with Dermatica but wasn’t keen on the formulation, Skin and Me, which I liked, then And Begin, this was my favourite. In January I decided to go direct to an online prescriber, I now have been using the Obagi tretinoin 0.025% since mid January and the results are incredible. This tube cost £80 and I still have about another week or two left so I’d say I will get 10-12 weeks use, this includes treating my neck and the backs of my hands. I use La Roche posay citaplast as my moisturiser.
    I am 50 next year and retin A is a must for me, my routine is super simple now, gentle cleanser, Retinol, moisturiser and a SPF50 for the day. Just find the one that works for you.

    I've used tretinoin for about 10 years. I mix it with a bit of plain moisturiser (dermaveen). I use it maybe once or twice a week. I'm 41 and get lots of compliments on my skin. I wear sunscreen, I play golf with a very big hat and apply sunscreen usually every hour when I play. I feel like it's kept my fine lines at bay and pretty clear. Being Vietnamese do have to be mindful with freckles and and dark spots. So although tretinoin is great it doesn't work for everyone. So for me, it hasn't made me freckles disappear and one melanoma spot I have, but in saying that I feel like my freckles haven't increased. Looks about the same. I get my tretinoin from Bali! So any Australians out there, I get it from the Made Ita clinic.

    I actually think, judging solely on the basis of the photos, that there has been hardly any difference. You had thick good skin to begin with . Mine literally tears when I’ve been using retinol for just 2 months. Tretinoin would likely damage it maybe irreversibly. Congrats on your genes!

  • @ScotGardi
    @ScotGardi Před rokem +4

    Hey, you can use moisturiser with Tret but you should never mix it. It can cause uneven distribution and irritation on the patches. Try a sandwich technique instead. So a layer of moisturiser, let it set in then Tretinoin.

    Hi there! I started using Curology 0.01% a year and a half ago. My skin was constantly flaking. My skin adapted and I've loved the results ever since. I would not recommend that everyone try to put Tret on the neck area. I've had 4 occasions where getting even the smallest amount on my neck caused me to lose a night's sleep because of the irritation. Just this month I switched to Agency with their Dark Spot Formula. I'm now on 0.019% Tret and I have trained myself to apply all serums and moisturizers to my neck FIRST! Then I apply the Tret (Pea-sized amount) to my face - forehead, temples, and cheek area, followed by my serums and moisturizer. If anyone has ever experienced that neck irritation they know how uncomfortable it is- Hell's Itch for sure! I've learned not to scratch at the first sign of an itch, apply Ivarest to the area immediately, and leave it alone. Thanks for this.

The dermatologist that I then saw in London suggested I strip back my routine no actives for at least 3/6 months to reset and now my skin is great, but I’ve got rosacea (mild flushing type) and very fair skin so retinol and vit c may not be a good choice for me.
