    I remember getting my first RF skin tightening treatment when I was only 20 because of a scar caused by a dog bite. I was lucky that I had an experienced dermatologist who really knows what she is doing. She showed me her treatment room when I first met her and even showed me the machine she will use at my first session. She also answered all the questions I had, made sure I was comfortable before beginning and instructed me that altough the sensation will be pleasant and the warmth feels relaxing, I should let her know if I feel it's too hot. At that age she prefered to do 10 minute sessions and recently she started doing 15 minute sessions. Time runs fast during the treatment because we keep chatting about different subjects. From patient perspective, even through the name sounds frightening, the treatment feels so relaxing it's easy to fall asleep during it!

    I was thinking of buying the Lumo as it claims it will not cause facial fat loss as compared to the Tri Pollar deice. According to them, the Lumo has been designed to preserve fat as it's targeting is limited to a controlled penetration depth band between 1.5 mm to 4 mm. They claim the fat pad sits at 6 mm or deeper in the dermis, so the RF waves do not interact with the fat layer at all, which ensures collagen synthesis is unregulated without heating the fat pad. I am somewhat leery due to my age - can't afford to lose any more facial fat!

    • @DSmith-ix1xf
      @DSmith-ix1xf Před 8 měsíci +2

      Quite right to tread carefully. She said the Lumo initially heats the skin to 60 Celsius for 20 seconds. Fat loss starts at 42 Celsius. So for 20 seconds it's playing 'chicken' with your face. Not a game I'd want to play.

I’m very very conscious of fat loss and truthfully I think it’s making a difference for sure. I’ve watched other influencers use is for 25 minutes on their faces and I won’t. Yes you have to keep using it but I figure that’s ok. I hope this helps.

    I really love the NEWA RF device for at home use. It heats up to 52 Celcius max and you do 4minutes per area of the skin before moving on to the next. It uses the 3DEEP RF technology made by EndyMed, which makes in office Radio Frequency machines. I use red light therapy separately with a Red Light therapy panel. I finish off with Tretinoin before bed. You have gotten great results too! Your skin texture looks better, less wrinkles around the eyes, and appears to be more volume.

    @7:41 I see a difference to your under eyes but it is hard to say as your expressions are slightly different as well. It is very very hard to get a comparison and I understand that. The background and lighting are different too and again I am saying it is terribly hard to make it the same. I have tried it myself. I do not think the Lumo has done anything for tightening your lower face. By the way I ordered the Lumo but they sent me the wrong machine. So I decided not to get it in the end. I bought the MBK Curve instead as it can be used on the body as well, plus the Lumo's EMS is very strong for practically everybody so what is the point of having a few settings. I agree for anything to be significant depending on the individual's condition, in office treatment or even face lift is the ultimate solution. Thanks so much for the video update. :)

    I paid 357.18GBP for the LUMO and VENUS. That included paying 15.28GBP for Express International Shipping. I just received a giant box with a packing sticker claiming it weighs 4lbs. The only thing in the box was a piece of paper and the VENUS device which weighs 43grams (not even an invoice). I called the company and was told it was due to a delay in the warehouse and the high demand. She stated they must have intended to ship it out separately even though I have never received anything saying that and the information on the shipping label is FABRICATED. I informed her that if I did not receive information including a tracking number immediately, I would call my credit card company and open a case for a fraudulent charge. Buyers BEWARE!

      @@holt7088 The makers of the Lumo suggest leaving a minimum of two days between treatments if you're over 40 and 3 days if you're under 40.
      You definitely don't want to be using radiofrequency daily, because you want to give your skin a bit of recovery time in between. I don't think you can liken the Lumo with facial yoga and jowl exercises because they are two very different things. RF is heating the deeper layers of your skin to stimulate collagen production and should be used less frequently, microcurrent will exercise the muscles but you can use that almost daily.

      Just a suggestion that I heard. A good plant nursery red light panel will work just as well as a more expensive red light panels that are sold specifically for beauty. I did some checking on Amazon (US) a HQPR 660 nm 14 watt 225 LED Pure Grow Light had good reviews from people that were using it for their face and body. If you are a do-it-yourself type person, I am guessing you could wire maybe 4 on the back of a door to give yourself a full body red light treatment … the full body panel devices I had seen sold for beauty aids were up to US$2,000!, so if you bought 4 of these plant red lights (not counting any hardware items you would need from the hardware store) would run you about US $200. Or just buy the one panel for under US$50. Note that this is solely a red light, and it does not have blue light for acne, nor RF, nor micro current.

The Omnilux mask and similar products use LED light to stimulate skin cells so it will have a more gradual, gentler effect. RF is a bit more powerful so you would expect faster more dramatic results.

    Hello, I’ve recently bought the Lumo, using the EMS mode, I didn’t feel any contractions at all, even on the highest level. The sales team at Evenskyn said that it’s normal not to feel anything. Is there any truth to what they are saying. Thanks

      @thehonestchannel  Před rokem +1

      I’m surprised you can’t feel anything at all on the highest setting. Are you using a conducting gel or serum of any kind? The way to double check would be to wet your face and then use it. If you still can’t feel anything then that sounds like there is no current.
      Let me know and I will contact them on your behalf if you still don’t feel anything.

      I used hyaluronic acid. I tried with water as you suggested and I can feel it now. Then tried the hyaluronic serum again, but I apply quite a lot of it so that it’s quite wet and it worked. Probably didn’t apply enough of it before, thanks for the advice.

      Hi. I stopped using the Lumo last summer to test out other products but intend to start using it again for maintenance and I would just be doing that once or twice a month at a lower setting. I try to use these devices as sparingly as possible because of the risk of fat loss so that you're balancing the benefits against the risks. Hope that helps!

      @@1586pame As frustrating as it is, I can't give clear guidance around safe use as we don't have really any good quality scientific studies to support it. All I can say is I would try to use it sparingly, potentially once or twice a month when you are only using it for preventative purposes. If you feel you need to step it up as you age then let your skin guide you as to frequency.

      Where MHz is concerned, 1MHz is 3x stronger than 3MHz. I don't recommend you purposely try to do this either, you could easily disfigure yourself. This is not something to play around with at home. But wanted to clarify that 1MHz is much stronger than 3MHz, and its longer wavelength penetrates significantly deeper.
