    The day I bought this cle de peau powder I was watching this video. Thanks to this video, I realize I had thrown away my inner lid of this powder. I dig it through a garbage bag, finally I found it. Thank you Michele , you save my life.

    I am a big fan of Cle de Peau loose powder. I have not noticed a smell, just a great natural finish with my makeup. I am in my late 50's and highly recommend.

    What a coincidence. I just got out my original LaMer powder last night thinking I should give it another shot because I could never get it to look right. Since watching all of the powder videos, I've switched up brushes, techniques and which loose powder I use when. You have done such a great job explaining each powder in great detail and describing how it works. Also all of the many close ups have been a huge help. You have dry skin like I do and it has been great to see exactly how all of these perform on my type of skin. Thank you so much. And you look lovely today as usual!

      Brenda Frederick me, too, I could never get the look right with the Original La Mer and it cast a slight yellow to my skin. I may give it another try as I have not tried it on my summer slightly darker skin.

      Brenda Frederick I am 50 and have dry skin. I bought my original LaMer years ago. When I thought it was supposed to be "glowy". Back then I didn't see the big deal. 6 years later , being older and dryer and learning about setting my foundation I took it out. Omg, it's the only thing I can put under my eyes but I put a very small amount on damp beauty blender, squeeze it small and only do the lower lash line and a bit under. Then I take big fluffy brush and do sides of face and t-zone. Not alot. It is undetectable but gives a natural glow. It sets my foundation and makes my bronzer blush go on perfectly. I'm so sad I'm almost out. Have been doing research and will try the new Hourglass veil. U know the saying... if it's not broke..... dont fix?! I'm sad they re-formulated. Try it again. I don't use as finishing to buff because my skin is too dry for that but I'm sure it's beautiful.

    I’m the person that found Cle de Peau powder to be ashy lol😝. My recent favorite loose powder is the Guerlain les V- something powder, it’s very matte and smooth.
    I’ve also been loving the Guerlain Terracotta bronzing spray. I can use both shades and they both give me a perfect tanned look. Maybe you can do a non-powder bronzers category next?

      considering the prices of CDP $105 is reasonable

  • @joanie-music
    @joanie-music Před 5 lety +1

    I noticed they sell the Cle de Peau Loose powder refill at $75 (compared to $105 with full packaging). So if anyone has an empty generic loose powder container, one could get the Cle de Peau powder at a considerable discount. ;)

    I use the Original La Mer loose powder as a finishing powder for more glam night looks on full face foundation. I do not like the new one. I highly suggest you cherish the one you already have. I have even bought 4 backups of the original because it’s that good. 😁

      You can you powders for up to years and years! If they start to smell fynny I would throw them out but if you have stored it in a cool dry place you can use it for many many moons!

    Michele I really enjoyed loose powder week. If your ever in the market to sell your original LaMer let me know! Haha I'm at the very end of mine and very sad. I'm going to try the new Hourglass veil. I have dry skin as well and there was nothing like the og LaMer imo.

    Fabulous series. Really helpful!
    Those two powders look beautiful together. Due to a chronic illness, I’m not recently able to get out much. As you can imagine, I don’t want to purchase very expensive products that I know will go to waste. Can you think of anything similar to these two powders?
    Thanks again for the great reviews:)

    I don't like the original La Mer Loose Powder because it's too dry on my face and highlights my fine lines under eyes. I have combination skin and do a lot of work on moisturizing. I like Chantecaille powder foundation which I always use as setting powder because Chantecaille makes my skin matte and tender without lines.

    Hi Michele, I have the CDP powder and I can’t make it work! It makes my foundation look disgusting - I used the La Mer foundation underneath. The foundation appears to break up. Any ideas how to make it work?

    • @TheMicheleWang
      @TheMicheleWang  Před 5 lety

      Hi! That's so disappointing to hear! What are you using under your foundation? Could it be a primer or last step in your skincare? Or does this only happen when you use this powder?

    • @didiyhh

      Michele Wang I’m not sure.. I’ve tried it twice now and it’s still not looking good. I’ll play with it more, but thanks so much for replying I really appreciate it. Looking forward to more videos from you, I really enjoy watching them!
