Pro-tip:
You can save recipes without finishing them. Make the potion as normal, the most efficient way and get it to the Level 3 position. Then save.
That way you can then choose to make a potion that is weaker just by dumping some water in it.
(This also works amazing with potions that use multiple ingredients)
Also useful to save what you want, add the potion effect (if you need it) and then spend some extra time collecting nearby xp nodes before finishing.

The customer who wanted to be better at thievery just wanted a dexterity potion, which you could have made. 🙂 I'd like to see more of this game... if it's on Steam, I might look into getting it myself.

The architects did not heed the potion sellers warning and drank the potions. The potions indeed were too strong for them.
For they really are of the weakest, and not of the strongest... shape.

The art style in this game is really nice, and the intro was great
Matt covered the jist of the gameplay, but there is a lot more to the game. As you get further in your reputation you get different clients with various demands. Some people don't want any herbs, some can't stand one item or another, some want potions with multiple effects.
And there's the ability to customize the name, label, and design of your potions so you can add just that touch of individuality (I made the explosion potions small that they look like hand grenades).
Plus there's the end goal of repairing your alchemy machine in the shop basement and achieving the goal of making a philosopher's stone.

@@jamesbrice3267 Nothing much, I enjoyed my time in college (even tho it was literal hell), especially the part we compound medications and researching them using traditional and modern methods. I currently work at a clinical research organization that I cannot disclose.
Pro tip: at the top right, there is a feature to organize your ingredients. It looks like a 9 pronged star and it actually gives you hints at what direction might hold what potions. (I.e left is fire and you can find the fire potion there. up is wind and you can find the swiftness potion there, top left is magic and you can find the mana potion there.)

Dexterity means how good you are with your fingers, the hunter wanted it because it makes you good with a bow and ranged weapons in general, and the thief wanted it because winkling stuff out of pockets without the owner noticing takes dexterity.

I can't believe you didn't realize the pickpocket needed a potion of dexterity! But I enjoyed this one. I'm not one for playing crafting games myself, but this actually requires a little skill versus just collecting things. I might actually give this one a try.

One of the customers wanted a "Potion so [they] could chop wood all day without getting tired", but "It's best if the potion is weak, don't ask why." They wanted some -ahem- *Endurance*. I think the wood here was metaphorical. Clearly a fan of the strongest shape.

As an bachelor in science I know that you only need two ingredients to reach any position but devs won't be happy.
There's a game literally called Space Engineer. It requires as the name implies engineering. SE 1 is a sandbox game that has a game engine simulating realistic physics for space and planets. SE2 is in development and the developers are saying they want a game with a upgrade tree and a goal in SE2. A bunch of stuff to look forward to with SE2. First I'll talk about SE1 which you can use to wage war on the enemy that is the Ravagers or you can trade. But beware of running out of hydrogen. In game you start with a drop pod and a full jet pack. If you fly recklessly and run out of hydrogen (jetpack fuel + other stuff fuel) during flight you might (probably will) die. But if you saved the only thing lost is your inventory. Mark the coordinates of your base and explore for resources to use to build in pursuit of R&D and better builds leading eventually to space. Watch Captain Jack's youtube Space Engeneers content to get an idea for what's possible. Almost everything Jack does is modded so keep that in mind.

This reminds me of the online game "The Codex of Alchemical Engineering".
It's a similar concept, but based around designing and programming machines to get the right ingredients in the right places to make particular recipes. Getting all of the different processes co-ordinated in the later levels is hard, but fun IMO.
Game is fun. Would like to see you play it more.

To note, the Herbalist's prices were actually rather average. When they are red prices, they are being offered for above market price, so don't buy them unless you NEED them, if they are green prices then they are being sold at below market price and you are getting a deal even before you haggle.
