HOI4: French Empire guide: beat the UK, the Axis and the Soviets

- Play as France and put a Napoleon back in charge of the Empire. Take out the UK in 38 then wheel around and face the Axis.
First 10 minutes is a step by step build up of France for the first wars. After that, things get a little more speedy.

Antasil: I'm so glad you make a new video about France. I have it here for 10 days, didn't watch yet as I want to take my time. Will post again when I finish, probably when I'm finally on holidays 🙂
Now I took the time to watch it twice. You go straight to the point, timing is great.
I'm still too cheap to waste CIC on supply hub & harbor, especially in the beginning: I prefer to assign fallback lines and leave some empty provinces. This help me to build precious equipment instead.

@@antasil5768 i don't understand why but it happens something else for my part i get the capitulation of the british but no peace conf, i have to conquer belfast don't know why don't understand why but it happens many times and now everytimes just before capitulation i saved the game and every time now i don't have the peace conf

I'm a beginner in HOI, and I'm trying to follow your video to understand a bit of the gameplay.
I'm following your video move by move, but when I arrive in September 1936, I'm very far away from having green logistics.
What did I miss? My fuel silos are also empty.
Is it maybe linked to the fact that I trained my units to level 3 until may 36?
Note that I'm not a new comer with paradox games but this one is more difficult than CK or Vic in my opinion :)
Welcome! Watching videos is how I learned the game. With Feedbackgaming back in the day. Right now I can suggest Pydgin, he's actually doing a beginner livestream today I think. My videos are aimed sometimes at relative beginner players, but I do have to skip a lot of steps to prevent the videos from becoming too long.
Your fuel runs out because of exercising yes. Your motorized and armor if you have them use up fuel, as does your airforce and navy. Its not too bad in 1936, you can get that back. Mastering logistics takes a while, keep at it! I still learn new stuff every week there!
I also believe this game is quite difficult to learn, but I think EU4 is even harder ;-)

Well there is an airforce, a few hundred planes. But they were losing badly.

forgot to guard the coast because i thought you cabt take the other armies off the fronts...
i did fibe though but got the truce with the uk, so i have to reset the playthrough
What is the composition of the remaining army, the one with only 7 Troops. Did you turn them into more Colonial divisions?
Those are the motorized divisions! :-)
Do puppets count as land conquered? Specifically when doing a world conquest instead of map painting
What do you mean with this question? What is a world conquest if not map painting?
I have have all dlc’s but which one I need and what u research (also how do u make it in one fleet)

Well this is an old video but maybe you will see this comment. Great video I would try to replicate this strategy and also I want to ask you for a guide for Vichy France, but forming it in 1936 when the Germans goes to remilitarized the Rhineland. I hope you can respond
youtube gives me notifications for comments on all my videos, so thats all good. I've got a France video planned in the near future. Probably will not be 1936 Vichy, getting the Germans to go to war over Rhineland is a difficult RNG thing I remember.
@@antasil5768 Yes you have right, some times is difficult and you have to restart a lot. I think Vichy is the most powerful France but Vichy in 1939 is to late because of the focus tree that take around two years to complete. Well thanks to respond anyway i will wait for your video.

Interesting strat, Antasil. But why would you send troops from the NL to naval invade the UK out of Casablanca? Wouldn't setting up the invasion from Friesland into Newcastle and Hull avoid the Channel as well?
P.S. Ooooh, just watched it to the end. Where did Yugoslavia leave you? Saint Helena, hopefully? Now do a sequel and come back, Napoleon!
I htink this can actually be saved. I'm still in New Caledonia with a lot of puppets, half an army and all of my fleets! Anyway, I believe invading from Friesland does take you through the channel, thats why I took the surprise option.
@@antasil5768 Just gave it a try. I was able to naval invade from Leeuwarden (sp?) into Newcastle and Hull. Naval supremacy in the North Sea took its sweet time to rise over 50 per cent, though, but still.
In other news, I dropped my guarantee on CZ. That gave me the Munich conference event. Now that I have a faction with CZ, guess which country was ready to join right away? Italy!
Poor Monsieur Hitler doesn't stand a chance now.

I'm curious, why didn't the German Civil War fire?
Actually, I'm not sure. I've only ever seen that civil war fire when the UK also denies Sudetenland.
@@antasil5768 thats really weird, why would the civil war fire? is there another way the ai can fire the civil war than through a focus that cabt ve done together with sudetenland?
abd the civil war route is pretty much found only on non historical
spain declared war on me and im fighting 3 fronts how do i make spain not declare
In what year? I've only seen that happen in the late game. A reserve army on the mountain border should hold easily.
and my war support is always below 50 even though i always do the war propaganda decisions
War support as France is a real issue. Did you also send an attaché to China? Thats an additional 10% war support.
