@@Bitt3rSteel I just had an Anarchist Spain run go wrong because the entire British army pulled out if Africa and sat on the home islands and Gibraltar...it feels like the Brit AI has gotten better recently xD
I've Get into London and They move the capital to Liverpool, but so hard for attacking Liverpool
@@ryancarter3468 pretty easy to destroy British troops in Gibraltar, and keep troops in Africa to distract British troops away from the British isles and into Africa.

7:12 Silent workhorse bonus actually applies to your base PP gain of 2, meaning despite any modifiers, a silent workhorse will always give you 0.33 PP gain per day.

Good catch, but you miscalculated by a tiny bit I think. 15 % of the base 2.0 is 0.30, not 0.33.

I like how out of the 3 French monarchist paths, Napoleon's is the one that gives you like 4 war goals.
I usually try to sneak in War Propaganda in these short wars, like against Belgium. Just to make any future switch to say war economy that much quicker (you can also wait for the war with the Dutch and get double war propaganda).
Actually not a bad idea
This also works in civil wars, so those early switches to Fascism/Communism can get that extra boost (the propaganda will keep ticking, even if it the target doesn't exist anymore).

I'm a huge Napoleon nerd so the Third French Empire is my favourite thing to do in HOI4 (Vanilla and Kaiserreich).
On a side note, My Four Time Great Grandfather fought in the Grande Armee. He was 20 when he survived to Russian invasion and he also fought at Leipzig and Waterloo.
Amazing, what kind of unit he was part of?

I tried the avenge Waterloo path today. The Germans pushed me out of the low countries and half way to Paris before I could deploy enough planes and troops to hold them. Took me a year to build up a decent tank army then I drove through Germany and eventually Russia. The Axis took 7 million casualties before I even began my counterattack. Their ferocity was shocking.
33:49 - if you close your eyes, it sounds like a review of some sleepy Spanish village (except there are no Brits but they usually stay in resorts).
Thank God for playing something to take your mind off of endsieg hell. I don’t like when people go insane.
I've since recovered and with Steiner's counterattack, we retook France and parts of Italy!

In my case, I just waited for germany to advance and used paratroopers over moscow xD
To remove the malus for land doctrine, you can go in civil war by support spain. Your stab will drop a lot and a civil war could occur. All of the bad general will be also kick. When the war is win, you can join the faction of spain that you support ( for example carlist).

Late to the party (4 weeks ago), but love the guides you’ve been doing. Also I think the Germans have a certain date they can declare on Russia depending on when they take the non aggression pact focus. Feel like the ai normally has to wait until 1941 sometime.

You can still use the 1 division xp gain, you need to as Australia because they don't have a theorist.
Use you biggest division and train for a few months and it does work, just not immediately.
Nice, i followed this guide and could claim Moscow. It went a bit different but in big lines it went the same. Missed the independecy of Finland but I made it without Finland. I'm now at the point where I'm gonna try to destroy Germany but it's gonna be a hard nut it think. I had troubles with naval invasions since I could only use 10 convoys at a time even when I had like 500-700 which weren't in use

I found a way to bring the UK into the war earlier. What you do is you challenge Germany with Czechoslovakia and then immediately kick them out of your faction that gets created. The UK suddenly rushes to their aid and you can now declare on them sometime in 1938 instead of waiting for Poland. This also had the side effect of making Germany never invade Poland after they refuse the ultimatum.
I think it would be nice if you showed us how to beat Germany directly after they go for the remilitarisation of the Rheinland.
honestly it’s more fun doing it the hard way but in proper bittersteel fashion this is clever
I agree. I did this when LaR came out, I also preferred the world conquest method. Eat UK on your own in 1938, eat Germany (with help of Russians), then eat Russia. I was also going for the destroyer achievement so I didn’t mind taking my sweet time strolling with a baguette under my arm from The Hague to Moscow.

About armored divisions :
Don't forget the harder your division, the least relevant the org stat. Unpierced divisions suffer 50% dmg, both strength- and org-wise ;)

I just followed your guide to defeat the UK and it went great. I am just not sure what to take in the peace deal. I puppet the UK but Germany gobbled up everything in the isles. I tried to satelite the Raj and the rest of their colonies but there was nothing left in the isles. Could you give me some advice on what to take in the peace deal? Thanks for this great vid!

Thank you, I was able to create a massive French Empire by doing a blitzkrieg in Britain, instead of fighting, i asked Germany for control of moscow, and then i got moscow and the achivement.

I got everything except when I landed in Leningrad, the Russian were able to hold me on the river, and when Finland signed a white peace I could not push at all.
you all laugh at germany trying to win world wars twice, but you all forget frances five attempts at republics and three attempts at an empire
Why does your game look so good
I like that france has many political routes, but some of them could benefit of a little update because they feel a bit barebone imo. Their other focus are not very strong too, like industrial and military. France should be the tricky major to play with tons of potential but you have to survive in order to get there, hell turkey has a better tree than france in general and lots of decisions, france is kinda limited in this department

You just afk as Bulgaria and get the child with your focus tree. After that just wait until Yugoslavia has its child. And you just attack them.

Funny enough, how I got this achievement actually never involved going to war with Britain. Instead, it involved taking the Benelux then guarantee Poland with Britain, smash Italy, and just barely beat the Germans before they could to me. After that, I declared on the Soviets and used 2 paratroopers to land around Moscow and take the achievement.

The real mans way to do this is to just fight everyone like Napoleon did except actually win the conquer basically all of Europe
Man, I follow your guides to a T, yet get screwed time and time again. Soviets capped Finland in 5 days with naval invasions, in 3 different runs letting their army be on call to reject my naval invasion with ease. My lucks run dry with this game.

There was something in me while i tried to get this achievement : It was pain
For some reason I much prefer 20 width tank divisions. When I go for 40 widths, I never have enough of them, and if I manage to get enough tanks to make a couple of full strength 40 widths, they're extremely disappointing. Even when I have the same amount of 20 width divisions as 40 width, the 20s do wayy beter.

I feel like the Napoleonic path has a lot of achievement possibility that is not in the game for some criminal reason.
on my game no joke the Finns collapsed within a week as the soviets naval invaded behind them. I am livid
I did this with some cheese, when I delcared on uk, Germany declared on poland, so Germany invited me in, and since I already took the focus giving me a wargoal on em I just accepted, then backstabbed when they had nothing on my border,and the USSR was just easy

80hours total so I’m fairly new to the game. Ussr declared on Finland in early December 1939. My divisions were totally not ready. Failed the landing. Lost my tanks then Finland signed treaty with the soviets literally a month after. Tf did I do wrong lol?

Challenge idea: play as any Balkan nation you want and fight the axis and comintern at the same time. Stipulation: you must be at war with the second faction within 6 months of declaring on the second and you must be at war with both at the same time. Extra credit if you do it without joining a faction!
hmm, do Hungary and Romania count?
Otherwise, Bulgaria is your best bet: decent focus tree, far enough to not be steamrolled instantly, (only your coast needs to be guarded) and you can surround yourself with puppets to prevent being destroyed at will.
you can then work with the Allies against the Axis and the Comintern (if you go fascist they won't let you join anyway).
Your challenge does not specify that you should directly defeat the Comintern and the Axis, so you can instead play the factions against one another so they can be weak. You can rely on the Allies to defeat the Axis (they're good in recent patches) and defeat the weakened Soviet Union yourself
