HOI4: Kingdom of Sweden guide - prepare to fight the Axis!

Forming the Kingdom of Sweden isn't that hard - just follow the focus tree! But it can be a maze, especially if you want to do it quickly.
Below I've listed the first few focuses, PP picks and techs. After that, you're more flexible. Don't use PP for MIO's the first few years!
Focus: defense act, urbanization, hygienic housing, Defense above all, state paid vacation, reject the saltsjobaden agreement, royal institute of technology, economic deregulation, work projects for the unemployed, old enemy stirs; ball bearings; prevent red dictatorship; undermine fascists, appeal for support, meet with the king, attack landsorganisationen, contracts, king in council,
PP: minister of justice, state; improver worker; army chief, special envoy; partial mob; humble appeaser; limited conscription; commerce raiding; financial expert; invest in rural regions;
Tech1: electronics, mechanical comp , Radio, Dispersed2, fuel2, basic small airframe,
Tech2: tools1, dispersed1, Support weapons1, Tools2, interwar arty; basic armor; medium tank,
Tech3: constr1, oil1, synthetic1, fuel1, oil processing, support weapons 2, engineers2,
Tech4: construction2; rubber processing; truck2; impr infantry eq;
All DLC's up until AAT were used for this campaign. Historical focuses are on.

You could hace taken the nordic council focus. Free 0.7 pp for the rest of the game.

I have considered it, even put out a poll to ask which achievement for ethiopia. But ethiopia is just so un-fun for me :-( and then the new DLC dropped..

Hey Antasil, nice work on another great guide. One question though. In your description, you say to go for Fuel2 after dispersed2 in the first slot. When I try to do this in my game, however, Fuel1 isn’t complete when I get to this point so I can’t select Fuel2. Did you miss a research in your description or am I doing something wrong?

its entirely possible I stole fuel1 or fuel2 from the germans. I was stealing tech like crazy, and that may have messed up my record keeping 😞

How did you avoid being the target of a declaration of war from the Soviets when you took the Baltic states?

you know, I have no idea. I've done this run many many times now and the Soviets haven't been a problem.

I've done a literal dozen monarchist runs without soviet problems here, today I do *one* fascist Sweden run and the soviets indeed declare on Lithuania. Interesting...

Many months later, the war goals on Lithuania and Latvia still disappear, I’m guessing it’s because of red influence? I puppet Finland fast and fight Soviet Union first during which I capitulate Uk before the USA joins, preferably before the axis attacks Yugoslavia and Greece so I get more war participation, and finally the axis then Japan for the achievement then the USA to get New Jersey for the decision.
Now that I saw yours, I’m trying axis first then Soviet Union

Its possible, that red influence. I've posted a bug report months ago and PDX only managed to look at it recently. I can only say that it might help if people reply to my forum posts on PDX forums maybe. Your war sequence looks very challenging and interesting. Sweden has so many possibilities!

@@antasil5768 the only challenge I would say is to hold Soviet troops while naval invade the UK, the Soviet Army gets a lot of winter war debuffs nowadays, 1.5 army is good enough to hold the line and make some encirclements while another army to invade the UK. Yes Sweden is fun, but it’s also the one that gives me the most headaches, I have to restart many times because of the RNGs to get the Nordic countries
