When LEVI is finally exonerated and released from prison for the wrongful conviction of murdering and cannibalizing his mother, his older half-brother, WADE, drags him to their local small-town burger joint. While Wade, clearly unconvinced of his brother's innocence, scarfs down a burger, now vegetarian Levi notices something off about the rest of the restaurant's patrons, who force Levi to take a bite of one of the burgers. Wade admits it's likely because the rest of the townsfolk share his doubt. Levi is rescued by his best friend from high school and current burger flipper, BO. RUBY, the attractive waitress and Levi's former potential flame seems to exhibit a rekindling romantic interest before becoming psychotically overbearing in her curiosity about how she believes Levi killed his mother. Bo finally explains that the oddities that Levi has been noticing are a result of him putting human brains in the burgers that he serves the customers; when humans consume other human brains it induces the insanity that he's brought upon their entire town. Levi, realizing that Bo killed his mother and poisoned the entire town, crushes Bo's skull. No one in the diner bats an eye.

The female actress in this one is so awesome!
She reminds me of Nancy Downs in The Craft.
Her name is Isabella Tagliati and when she auditioned I knew right away. So talented and such a big part of why this film works. Casting is so important!

Really loved the storyline. So his friend knew that how to teach those guys a lesson who accused the protagonist by framing him as a cannibal when on the contrary he was not a killer. He put brains in those burgers which made them all go insane but he did a blunder by killing the protagonist's mom. The level of madness shown in this movie, blew my mind. Cheers and Kudos to all the cast and crew of this movie.
The look on his brother's face after he slammed the guys face into the table is just like "Bro... what?" with zero other emotions and the waitress casually sashaying past him is such a good part of the film

I see a lot of people congratulating the acting in the comments, but for me, the best part of this movie is the final music. I don't know why I'm so impressed. Hearing a sarcastic melody after a reactionary and quiet scene made me feel satisfied and amused. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project.

Idk but I took it as you caring too much about what other people think until it actually consumed your own way of thinking, like what happened to the man who serves burgers. He got way too caught up on what other people say that he loses his own mind & did terrible things.

The acting by the four main characters was flawless, Ruby's insanity in particular.

Dude you totally missed the point. The brother didn't look afraid in the slightest. He was so crazy he only cared about the burger. The look he gave the protagonist was "are you gonna eat that?" Which is why the protagonist just slide the burger over without him having to ask. No one in the restaurant cared that someone had just got killed.
That face smash scene was amazingly accurate.

A great horror comedy.
The actors A++, special effects, script, the whole short was phenomenal!
This is what I love to see on Alter, amazing talent.
This reminds me of one of the Tales from the Crypt episode i saw when i was a kid where a restaurant owner on the verge of bankruptcy because they only served squid dishes until the janitor offered to cater his steak recipe and the steak was human meat. And the townspeople got addicted to it too. The twist on the ending was soooo good too. Everything in 'Carnivore' is great! The acting! oh my!!! Hands down to the director and casts!
That was a good TFTC episode, Christopher Reeve was the main character.
I have random flashbacks of that finale scene of him cutting the "steak" off to cook

Interesting premise and execution here.
There is a legitimate fear of being falsely accused of a crime you didn't commit that people can have. This was portrayed nicely.
We then get the mob rules mentality along with bullying. This is so reflective of modern times and even social media.
I liked how the consumption of brain matter brought out the ugly in people. The behavior of the people in the diner was so bizarre to watch.
It was definitely a weird vibe when after being falsely accused of murder then our protagonist commits murder. Although weird it was spot on horror plus he did eat some tainted meat.
Nice job by Ashton Herrild and everyone involved.

Mob rule and bullying are not modern phenomena.
They're as old as the first species and certainly not a recent occurrence in our species.
It's so scary even before you know the true underlying horror because everyone in that diner is INSANE but everyone treats it as normal. Especially the extras just calmly enjoying their meals while the protagonist is being bombarded by the insanity.
Just made me realize that disciplining a child using physical violence is insane and everyone does treat it as normal and that some other people are bombarded by it... just made me rethink some things
I’d love to see a sequel to see what happened to him after he got found with blood on his face, and how the thing happened to his mother.
Well we know Bo killed her and Levi got taken to prison after he was found. I don’t think we need any more details
As someone who’s been on a plant-based diet for a while, gotta say that hit some pressure points 😂 fantastic work, really professional presentation and kinda had the feel of a CreepyPasta. The ending was awesome too. Great work!

Very well done. Your film navigates the line between funny and graphically violent just about perfectly. The moments of palpable tension and threat are perfectly realized without taking away from the humor. And it's one thing to have a great cast (as does your film), it's another to direct them so well. Dangerous & Provocative story with Brilliant piece of acting, I think the story tells us that there is an "unprovoked monster" in each individual it only need slight provocation to do the wrong even to our the most closed ones, eating brain of same species or another act as a one of the provocation.
Everyone killed it in this, but the waitress was so perfect! Blowing the hair out of her face emphatically was hilarious
Love how the description just casually gives away everything....
Some of these short films need to become full length movies! The actors in these are better than some of these actors in movies today
