  • 17) My Urdang (Funding) Recall 2018
    The breakdown of my Urdang Funding Recall audition day (which I believe is the same as the Recall audition day). Travel, the things you need to prepare, what you should wear and how the day pans out, in comparison to the First Round day.
    Questions she asked me:
    Why Degree/Diploma?
    What kind of things do you like to research?
    Where else have you been offered a place and where does Urdang stand within that?
    What are your strengths?
    Which Track do you see yourself going onto?
    Do you have any questions?
    Useful Links:
    The Urdang Track System
    theurdang.london/courses/diploma/
    Please note: This is purely based on my audition experience, anyone else may have had a different experience & it is bound to vary year to year

    Hi! Thank you for the video! When have you gone to your funding recall? Is it usually like 2 months after the 1st audition? Thank you!

      Dora Pletikosa Hey! I think the funding recalls start around March time, so if your first audition was in November say, then you may have longer to wait than someone who did their first round in February. Don’t quote me on this though! Best of luck X

    Hi, I was just wondering, how come you chose urdang over trinity laban? These videos have been a massive help by the way! X

      Ella Shepherd Hey!! Ahh that’s so good to hear! For me it was just personal preference :) I got a really good feel for Urdang at the audition day and dance is my weakest so I thought this would improve most if I went to Urdang! Best of luck X

      xoxo xoxo Hey! So it's literally just counts at the end of the routine so you carry on dancing until the end :)) most people did it in the style of the choreography but play to your strengths and definitely show them what you can do! X

      Ben-Simon Wilson Just asked my friend and he said if you have ballet uniform then that’d be great but some people wore a vest and leggings, others were wearing joggers. Just something you’re comfortable in I’d say!

    Does Urdang offer student loans that cover the full £9,250? Just wondering as it doesn't detail that on the website and I won't be able to apply if it doesn't. Congratulations by the way!

    • @auditioningfordramaschool1168
      @auditioningfordramaschool1168  Před 5 lety

      Harriet Surridge Haha thank you! Yes so if you get into the Degree course, it's a full government student loan £9,250 + maintenance. The Urdang Degree work finishes in May and then May-July they do the *optional* Summer Show Project which is an additional £3900 or something, which isn't funded. You can get a full scholarship for this though (I did!) and that's what the Funding Recall day is for! For the Diploma there is no government funding (only scholarships). I hope that makes sense!! Good luck X

    • @auditioningfordramaschool1168
      @auditioningfordramaschool1168  Před 4 lety +1

      Erin Dunne Hey! I would recommend that you do, because it’s what got you a recall in the first place and then they may ask to see another song :) but it’s up to you X

    Hi I’m thinking of auditioning, I’m just wondering do you get both government loan for the course and a loan for living?

    • @auditioningfordramaschool1168
      @auditioningfordramaschool1168  Před 5 lety +1

      Alice mitchell Hey! So if you get onto the Degree course then yes - you get the full £9250 tuition loan plus maintenance (and it's higher than normal for living in London) there is an optional extra £3000ish that is extra classes and Summer Show but it is optional and you can get a scholarship for that :) if you get onto the diploma course then there is no student finance but they do offer scholarships! Definitely audition - good luck! X
