Elise Hey!! Ahh how exciting 😊 The best thing about urdang is how varied everyone’s talents are so you definitely don’t have to be an incredible dancer - they can train you to be one. That’s great that you’re doing home classes and just focus on the things you are good at and give it full performance in your audition :) Check out Magnetic Studios if you haven’t already - it’s loads of teachers and performers from the industry and some of the money from each class you do goes towards saving our industry! Ellen James Hey! There was about 50 people altogether which got split in half for the whole day. And then I’m not sure about the second part, maybe around 15 they said they didn’t need to see again and then everyone else had a time slot to come back and be seen individually :) don’t quote me on that though X

SUP FAM Each drama school is different and provides a slightly different course. Do some research on their websites and apply for and visit the schools that you think will suit you and the training you would like :) then it’s just about how you feel when you’re there and if you think the school is right for you! Hope that helps

Most will cut out the second verse so the pattern is verse, chorus, bridge, chorus... Hey! I would definitely say it helps to have some dance experience, as it is a triple threat industry, but there are people in my year who wouldn’t consider themselves good dancers but say their strength is singing 😊 X

Hannah Rose Hey, I can’t actually remember!! It definitely says on their website what they would like you to prepare so have a look :) All I know is that when they said two contrasting songs I had my contemporary MT and a Legit ballad but if it doesn’t specify then you could probably take a good pop song or something! If you’re unsure after checking out the website maybe send them an email or something to check! X

For the improv I think it’s in groups of 4, definitely not on your own :) and I would just say whatever make up you feel comfortable in - if the school states ‘no makeup’ then obviously follow their rules but if they don’t specify then feel free to do what will make you feel most confident! Grace Keenoy Hey! Most of the schools specify for what they want on their website or in an email when you apply for audition. Most do ask for a monologue from a contemporary play so I would stick to that if they’ve asked for it, but if they don’t specify then I don’t see why you couldn’t! Always stick to their guidelines if they’ve given them cus it shows you can take instruction :)) best of luck X

Emma Gibbons Hey! Ahh don’t stress 😊 you’ll be absolutely fine :)) So you do the dance call and from my experience, they only ask to see your solo if you haven’t got dance grades (so they can’t automatically assume the training you’ve had) or like if they can’t remember you from the dance call so they want to see you dance again. It was rare that they asked to see your solo so if it’s causing you extra stress then really don’t let it! As long as you perform through the movement and it shows that you can move - this will be fine! Also if you really are ill then you can always reschedule but the panel are professionals and will be able to tell if you’re not on top form so just try not to worry about it! Best of luck X

I haven’t got dance grades but hopefully if I go for it in the dance call it will be okay! Lilly Winn yeah definitely, that sounds great :) don’t panic! Sheet music is whatever’s easiest for you, I always used a folder so if they asked to see something else it was all on one place. Be yourself and enjoy your audition!! X

Hey! Most places won’t ask you to wear heels and they will specify if they do. Most schools just do a jazz class and will expect you to wear foot thongs, jazz shoes or bare feet X
