    I have a few of the SanDisk 512gb CFast cards that work reliably with the C200. They have the lowest price per GB and will last record well over an hour. That just come from the calculations though as I’m usually putting on a fresh one in the camera after about 45 or 50 minutes of footage to be safe. (I wonder if I would be changing them every 10 minutes of footage if I bought the tiny 128GB version?).
    I’m using the sandisk 256gb sdxc cards in the sd slots though I am rarely using them. (Love that luscious raw footage).
    Yea, if you do waste you time on the 125gb versions you might pay over $3 per GB. The 512 will be about $1.95 per GB from B&H if memory serves (pun intended).
    Cheers

    Nice video Carlos. What type of video/camera work are you doing for 2020?

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  Před 4 lety

      This has been a crazy and weird year. Before COVID commercial work was the main gig, as COVID hit, we pivoted to live production and corporate training, construction and real estate. We are slowly starting back up with commercial work again now.

      @@carlosq00 Well I'm glad to hear you are slowly picking back up. What type of real estate work have you done with the c200? I would live to see your work!

    I bought the Cfast 120gb Sandisk (older version) and it works well on the c200. Just incase if anyone has a good deal and wanna know if it work with it.

      egodisk (565Mo/s) seems to work well with canon raw lite on C200, 300€ for 256Go

    Around 7:30 You mentioned if you're planning on changing the ISO you should also run the black balance calibration. I have watched your video about the black balance, but I don't remember you mentioning needing to do it if ISO changes are needed. Please elaborate.

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes, I got a bit wordy in the video so I edited it out but did add the comment in the video description. Basically any time the shooting environment changes or the exposure is adjusted (not by iris) the black balance procedure needs to be performed. The environmental changes that affect the camera and the sensor calibration such as temperature and ISO values are the main reason why mapping what is black is important if you want clean gradients and low to no noise in your image.

    • @JeffSpeers
      @JeffSpeers Před 6 lety +1

      From your experience would you say doing the black balance procedure enables the C200 to be a Superior low noise camera in high ISO situations compared to all the other cameras that it competes against?

  • @carlosq00
    @carlosq00  Před 6 lety

    The Canon C200 has so many features that trying to cover them all in a single video is a NOGO.

    Hi Carlos, What about setting up live streaming? Can you help please?

    • @carlosq00
      @carlosq00  Před 2 lety

      The key is setting up the camera to what your capture card or video switcher can read. For me on a Mac it means set the capture and output to 60p at 1080 resolution that allows me to use the camera for live streaming

    Why do you have Kalvin values as a whole on your C200 (K4300, K4400, K4500 etc.) ?
    I just have weird numbers like K4000 - K4080 - K4170 - K4300 - K4350 - K4440 etc.
    Why is that? Hope someone can help?

      not following...what do you mean?

    • @thedeliveryman2064
      @thedeliveryman2064 Před 5 lety

      Carlos Quintero like i said: your video shows Kalvin numbers as a whole (4300, 4400, 4500, etc.), the C200 don‘t has that. But meanwhile i think the video showed is recorded on the C300 mkii, because all of the camera parameters are outside the frame, in the black area. Thats a feature from the C300 mkii too. Am i right?

    Hi Carlos... I'm working with the Canon C200 B, connected to the Shogun Inferno. I'm having some problems with the formats. When I try to setup 4k 29.97P Pro Res 422... it doesn't allow me... the menu does not show anymore. Also when I try to Set-up 1080P 4K, the HDMI signal is gone. Do you know any solution, or is just not possible to shoot this 2 formats with this setup ? Thanks

    • @carlosq00

      you can only monitor in CLog3 on the C200, when you capture in RAW and bring it into the NLE you can then select CLog2.
