I think they wanted youtube's money and to get going monopoly their Disney plus when they could have sealed up against other countries how much they wanted to watch the owl house which trusts they will go banana for this show for they would of make more profit just using youtube but pretty much they keep on short ending ppl with the end of the stick every time.

If Disney+ was the only reason, why not private the video when Thanks To Them came out on Disney+. I’m not saying that there’s only one reason, I’m mentioning one of the reasons I think the episode was privated. This will probably lead Dana to either bring back the episode on her own, or Disney is going to have to many problems from fans by chance forcing them to bring it back.

It was just a trailer not a whole episode. I know I wouldn't watch a whole episode of Moongirl. The Owl House should never have been canceled. Live with your mistakes Disney, you've lost a lot a fans and success.

So the entire show is a fan favorite and should be available on DVD when the show ends. I really hope it gets a DVD release.
Last year scared me into collecting physical copies of things I enjoy, especially after what happened to Infinity Train. I noticed DVDs are becoming of collectors items with original art, behind the scene disks, and cool packaging. All this to say, a simple DVD release is the least Disney can do for this show, its crew, and the fans

It’s not too far fetched of an idea to assume that after VHS and cassettes became obsolete that DVDs (and CDs) will suffer the same fate eventually.
Blu Rays may stick around longer but we’ll have to wait and see on that.
I highly doubt that just because dvds are becoming obsolete.

When will people realize that DVDs are still important. If you don't get what I mean, answer this: how many shows/movies have you seen permanently dissapear from streaming platforms? The reason is they can't hold that many. So, without hard copies, they are gone forever.
Before you say the original copies exist, 1. The public can't see them and 2. Look up how many were lost forever due to things like fires, natural disasters, and war because that was the only hard copy. With many copies, this is less likely to happen. Oh, and computers holding them have the same issue.
In short, DVDs, and other hard copies, should be better respected and utilized, and I definately hope this show is given that advantage on surviving.
I noticed this immediately! I wanted to re-watch the first episode after episode two came out and saw it was gone. I was pissed. My guess is that they took it down because they put it on Disney+ and they wanna charge you for it.

this is super annoying for people that live in countries that speak another language, because not only does this prevent us from watching the show, it makes us wait for a long time until the show finally uploads to Disney+ (because at least in my country I waited a literal year just for some episodes of season 2, and they didn't even bother uploading all the episodes of that season, there are still 4 more to be uploaded) it is super annoying that such a good series is almost impossible to watch if you're from another country
Yeah it's so annoying that everything is available on the U.S and if you don't are there you got to wait like 3 months more for a chapter (I would rather watch the chapter in english with subtitles)

I got obsessed with the show recently and was hyped for the For the Future premiere. I was angry when I found out the episode is only available in the US, despite the sneak peeks being available in my country and being pushed to me via the algorythm. Luckily I have a VPN
if this keeps up, i have a feeling that disney HQ will burn.
Yeah, this sucks. I still don't have Thanks To Them on Disney+ and I didn't even have season 2 available until November or sometime around that. I had to rewatch TTT on theowlclub. And adding the leaks and how hard it was to avoid them, they're really ruining our viewer experience of the show. They messed up when they cancelled the show and they're still messing up everything about it.

I could be wrong about this, but I think when it comes to the owl house, Disney only has the first episode and one of if not the latest episode on youtube
Before season 2b aired, Disney had 'A lying witch and a warden' and 'Eclipse lake' (Which is ep 9 of season 2) on youtube, and I remember this because I had a playlist with the episode on it. Around the time Labyrinth runners (Season 2 ep 18) was released, Disney privated eclipse lake and put Labyrinth runners in it's place
Timeskip to after the season 2 finale, the same thing happens. Labyrinth runners is privated and is replaced with King's tide, and King's tide stays up until shortly after Thanks to them was posted

I agree with you and I'm pretty sure that you are right... I remember when King's Tide was removed when Thanks to them was added. Also the same with Amphibia, if you search for the finale episode of amphibia its still on there and same with the first episode
That’s actually kind of smart on their part give the first episode to get people interested and get the service for newbies and keep the latest episode up for those trying to keep up with the show.
You might be right I only got into the owl house(for the right reasons) until around the time Thanks to them Aired and boy was it a massive road trip to catch up thankfully I liked the show enough to where me and my younger sister binged watched it all
They recently put it up on Disney+. I'm thinking they took it off of CZcams to force people to get a Disney+ subscription if they want to see it. For the Future is slated to come to Disney+ in early February (I think) so they might take it off CZcams around the same time
I don't think YT's monetization is something Disney does even care. IMO the YT uploads of S3 is a kind of audience test. Once the big wave of viewers has passed, they don't need to keep it on YT and it's better for them to keep it only on D+. The difference in availability dates may be due of this test nature of the posts, or maybe the branch of Disney that handles the YT upload is not the one that manages Disney+. To be honest I just don't get why they just don't put the episodes on Disney+ directly after the TV premiere, again it's only a guess but maybe Disney+ internal process doesn't allow that for now or isn't tailored for worldwide premiere in sync with TV broadcast. So they may have turned to YT instead to make this test and see what happens without any need to change their internal processes. It really looks like it's a case of "team D+ don't know how to do/won't do it/are too slow to change their process, let's find another way for this time and see what happens".

2:07 was one of the first reasons I thought of…except my thought was more like “we’ll give them the episode on CZcams, but then remove it to get people to buy our streaming service”
Luckily, the Owl net exists.
That’s kinda the point, they’re gonna capitalize on a show that they never realized had the fan base or popularity that it did. Makes it harder to support the show, but they know that there are fans who will subscribe just to rewatch it (I only know this because I’m one of those). As for it not being available in other countries, which countries are they? There’s likely a gap between progressive Western culture’s views and their quick ability to welcome this show and the countries where they’re not quite available.
For example, if you can’t view them in China, I would not be surprised.
Actually in Canada it takes a while for them to come out a bit longer than in the U.S which is really annoying .
It's still not available in Germany, season 2 only came about a month or two ago if I'm not mistaken, so I don't think it has anything to do with that.
Australian here, S3 is not currently on Disney + yet at the time of writing.
In germany i have to use a VPN to see the new episodes and the 2. season was only resently released on d+ here. i thing it may have to do with dubing and licenseing but idk. maybe they just dont want that all the fans watch it at once to lower the numbers, so they dont have to admit the mistake they made.

This is normal. They generally just have the first episode and the latest episode available on CZcams at a time (and occasionally a few others) as a means to get people onto D+.
So you have the beginning, and you have the 'where it has got to' that are the sales pitch for the show that you need to subscribe to D+.
They don't need Thanks To Them to be live now that they have For The Future.
I'm not fully convinced that the release plan is a good idea, but it seems to be the pattern they used for their other shows and they know more than me.
I think that they did it just so they could get more people to pay for Disney + subscriptions or just more money pointed towards them by fans who want to either rewatch it or watch it for the first time for new fans
It's probably for some dumb licensing thing. Adult swim kinda does the same thing where after it airs a full block it stops you from watching the block before that one without a cable account

In my country (Germany) for the Future is not only not available on Disney +, it is also not available on CZcams. So it is not possible to watch it without an VPN.
This is why corporate people shouldn't be in charge of deciding what stays on and what goes.

oh it’s 100% because they know that people are gonna think “oh hey the next episode came out, i wanna watch the first one again for numerous reasons!” and then realize “oh, if i want to do that, then i must purchase a disney plus account, because watching it free on youtube was a gift, and i should be grateful to be able to watch it at all!”

Honestly I expected this to happen after the newest episode released. I watched Thanks to them again literally right before for the future dropped. (For the future had been up 19 mins after I had finished my rewatch) The reason that episode 1 is still up, is Disney leaves episode 1 up for shows as a way to get people into the show. Tron Uprising was the same and is still up years later. They obviously took it off to make more money on things like ITunes and Disney+, but it is disappointing. They supposedly were shocked at Owl Houses popularity recently in no small part due to the number of views the CZcams episode pulled in. You’d think they would leave it up. At least for season 3 I don’t have to wait for ITunes to drop the episode like practically 2 days after it aired on TV(though this time they put it up way too early)

I'm going to bet they've seen how profitable the series is so now they want to capitalise on using the first episode to sell more Disney+ subscriptions. Then again multiple creators such as Braly have stated that Disney have absolutely no clue as to what they're doing with big fandom based series and alternate modes of distribution for their content.
The execs that killed TOH know that if they leave the episodes up, it reflects poorly on thier decision to kill the show, so instead of admiting they made a mistake, it's off the platfrom
They're probably just preparing for when they release it on Disney+ (if they haven't done so already). This is simple monetization and Disney has every right to try and make back the money they've spend on making this show.

its not surprising they took the last episode down? it makes sense that they would only keep the first episode free as it promotes people getting disney+ to watch it, i always expected them to take it down by the time the new episode was uploaded on here
