My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

The title of the king of rock and roll belongs to Elvis and only Elvis...Music history has proven that he deserves that title. Before Elvis, you had songs like 'How Much Is That Doggie in the Wndow." When Elvis came on the scene he changed all that. No, Elvis didn't quite invent rock and roll, but he took what little of it there was back then and gave it a whole new sound and style of his own. If it hadn't been for Elvis, rock music probably would have died out back in the 50s . His incredible popularity catapulted rock and roll into the statosphere , thereby opening the doors wide so that others, black and white, could step through and have careers of their own...Many , not all, rode on the coattails of Elvis Presley. That's a fact! NOBODY opened up rock and roll to the masses the way Elvis did. So, for those who are trying to take away the crown of the king of rock and roll from Elvis...You're wasting your time.. It's not going to happen, not now, not ever. His millions, if not billions, of fans throughout the world won't stand for it. ...GO POUND TAR!

He’s in the Rock & roll Hall of fame, R&B Hall of fame, Gospel Hall of Fame and the Country Hall of Fame. That’s how many genres he sang. Thanks for showing this. God bless. One time a group of girls at his concert holding up a sign saying Elvis is the King. He stopped and told them there was only one King , the one above. They got embarrassed and took down the sign but he was nice enough to say it’s ok. Don’t be embarrassed. I knew what you meant & went out of his way so they wouldn’t feel mortified.

      Thank God for the
      garage sale, right?
But i made a similar experience. When i was about 14 years old i saved my pocket money. And i brought an Elvis music cassette with different songs and genres on it.
I played it night and day.
And even when i haven't a tape deck anymore, i still have his MC.
I guess because of sentimental reasons.

I'm 85 years old. I seen ELVIS in 1956 and 1957 and 1975. First off nobody since or now has come close to Elvis. 56 and 57 was wild. I say it was like magic in the air. The way he moved and sang. All the women climbed over chairs and rushed the stage. The women never stopped yelling. ELVIS never ran out of energy. He was always polite when he talked between songs. When it was over nobody left. They kept yelling for him. In 1975 he shook the arena. Everyone on their feet singing with him. Flash bulbs went off so much I'd lose sight of the stage. Middle of the concert ELVIS brought out fats domino. The crowd went wild. I remember fats was sitting on the piano bench and Elvis sat with him and the song was blueberry hill. They laughed together and when it was over Elvis said ladies and gentleman the great fats domino. I was close enough after they hugged fats tapped him on the chest and said I love you brother and Elvis said I love you too with the famous Elvis smile and fats raised his hand and waved at the crowd as he walked off stage. When it was over nobody left. People kept clapping and yelling Elvis. That's the first time and only time I heard ELVIS has left the building. For the people who saw ELVIS in person you will never forget it for the people that weren't lucky enough to see him you missed the greatest show on earth as Tom Hank's says in the movie.

"He was just that great. He was not one-dimensional."
You are so right. Elvis was like a human jukebox; he was so versatile that he sounded great singing just about every genre. Who else could go from gospel to country to soul to funk to pop to rock 'n' roll to blues etc?
As you yourself recognised, he had his own style and the man could definitely sing - no autotune, just raw talent which was never better displayed than in this 68 Comeback Special. Trying To Get To You is a standout among many standouts.
It's always a pleasure to watch you watch Elvis; you get that smile of wonder on your face and you make very pertinent observations.

IT HAS BEEN COVERED BY SO MANY PEOPLE BUT, AS USUAL, ELVIS MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE IT IS THE FIRST TIME THAT YOU HAVE EVER HEARD IT. MOST PEOPLE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW, STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS CAPABLE OF. TOM PARKER, HIS SO CALLED MANAGER, KEPT HIM GOING FROM ONE PLACE TO THE NEXT FOR CONCERTS. PARKER WAS A HORRIBLE MAN AND THE WORST MISTAKE ELVIS EVER MADE. IF ELVIS COULD HAVE TAKEN HIS TIME AND ENJOYED MORE OF IT THERE IS NO TELLING WHERE HE COULD HAVE GONE. I KNOW THAT SOUNDS A LITTLE CRAZY. BUT HE WAS PUSHED FROM ONE CONCERT TO THE NEXT FOR 20 YEARS AND HAD VERY FEW BREAKS. BUT HE WAS THE MAN. HE WAS THE KING OF ROCK!

I saw him in concert back in the 70's year or 2 before he died. The stadium was packed. And when Elvis came out. It was like a earthquake erupting. It was amazing. Majority of the women were fighting each other in the isles trying to get close to the stage, to get pictures. The whole concert was great though. His vocals & the singing was off the charts. But I think the end song was so AWESOME, HURT. He sang it twice. The first time was so good. Then the second time, Outstanding. OMG, It made the hairs on my body stand up & the stadium felt like it was going to collapse. His voice, everything felt like it vibrated the entire stadium. Here comes the shattering earthquake I told my family & it was. Never seen anyone like Elvis since. I believe no will ever come close to what he did & what he represented. Only 1 Elvis 🎸🎶 🎹🎶🌹💞

Some of those songs were just movie songs he made famous. Then he had his music which he loved. He just had so much natural charisma and stage presence and a lot of great singers today have no stage presence and are not interesting to watch because you tell its not their passion and they just belt the whole song with no feeling or understanding of the words they are singing.

ELVIS COVERED IT ALL ..... I was there in concert ..... He still is and al-ways will be .... Welcome to the magical world of Elvis Aron Presley .... {BEWARE and be PA-PAIRED} .... To have songs done with styles and smoothness that screams out with soul that you never thought possible .... That is till you run into Elvis .... And according to Graceland .... He officially recorded exactly 769 songs .... So Let's See how the hell he is so good .... It go's like this .... As I have seen Elvis live and a list of many other bands live and in concerts .... BUT NONE comes ANYWHERE CLOSE.... To the power that Elvis generates .... Elvis sucks your soul in and then sends it back out making you feel more powerful than a locomotive ....making you focus on one thing .... HIM .... Here go's
The difference .... Between Elvis and rest .... Goes like this .... I have seen Sammy Hagar live .... Bob Seger .... AC-DC .... Black Oak .... Matelica .... The Beatles .... Pink Floyd .... Cher .... And many .... Many Others .... Going to see Elvis and the rest including now- a- days so called concerts is at .... At all of them the crowds were there for Drinking .... Getting Stoned .... Trying to get high as a kite .... And trying to stay that way though the night by passing Bottles and Joint's and other stuff around .... HELL .... The air was full of smoke .... And loud .... You could not even hear anything being said on stage the only thing that drowned out the crowd's noise was the music .... As most were Not really there for the Artist them-self .... But to get wasted .... Not the show .... Or the band them-self .... Mostly just to get F***Up ....
BUTT .... At the Elvis concert .... People stayed in their seat's and it was Quiet when Elvis said anything or sang or .... Hell just moved around .... You could hear everything and see everything he did..... That son.... Is the true Impact that Elvis Aron Presley had here Planet Earth .... You can .... Fight it .... Argue it .... Cuss at it .... Disagree with it .... Be Jealous of it .... You can even claim others his equal or his better .... But every time the dust settles .... Elvis is still king .... God said .... And that .... That there is something you just cannot change .... Can't be done .... Elvis won the world over with his abilities ..... Far above mortal man ..... Able to leap high notes in a single breath .... Or blow the roof off with some low tone tornadic whirlwind of a grinding persuasion flowing out of him with the greatest of ease ....To start a song off as if it would be soft and sweet .... Only to have it end up taking you up to high heaven and beyond .... Making you think .... What the hell just happened .... Was that earthbound what you just heard and saw .... Or direct from up above that .... God sent just for me .... Yes sir .... Whatever you do .... DO NOT TRY TO OUTRUN .... THE POWERFUL SOUNDS COMING OUT OF HIM .... No sir
It's those powerful sounds coming out of him .... That His tornadic voice creates ....
Winds that can blow you into others around you .... Into laps of perfect strangers .... Causing turned over popcorn .... Spilled drinks .... Stepped on candy bars .... Hell .... Even screaming in your ears .... Both of them .... All at once .... Coming from both sides .... Even from the front and back of you ....Thousands of Pictures being taken .... Even at hundreds of feet away .... Maybe even thousands .... Blinding you the whole time .... But man .... look-Out .... As he can change direction quickly Vocally .... And send you to La-La land in an instant ..... Hell .... He's been known to lift up people in cars and trucks .... Even houses and toss them into happiness within one note .... So hold on man ..... Elvis is king .... Borrowed talent from God himself as history has proven it 73 YEARS AND COUNTING .... Once in a while God sends a mes-sager to his people .... Elvis was one such mes-sager .... Mankind can try to change it and proclaim some-one his equal or better if they want .... BUT God already said .... Like I said son .... That is something that you just can not change .... The man had everyone {Including Me} .... looking up on the stage as we wanted to watch every move and listen to every sound he made .... Yes sir .... I saw Elvis live .... And I will tell you right now that hearing him on CD's or Records or seeing him on TV or here on you-tube .... I can tell you right now .... It is nothing like seeing him in person .... Take it x1000 to that him In person .... He was that Absolutely fantastic ...... He was like the Suction of a f-5 tornado .... Once in his grip .... You are a fan .... PERIOD .... And so as you are determined to jump into the whirlwinds created by the king himself .... WE BID YOU GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY AND WELCOME ABOARD .... SO NOW THAT YOU ARE BEING OFFICIALLY SUCKED INTO THE F-5 WHIRLWIND TORNADO .... Going by the name Elvis Aron Presley .... Please above all .... Keep hands .... Arms ....And legs inside your seat at all times .... To avoid hitting nearby .... Supporters .... People .... And other objects .... Try to Sit properly in your seat without twisting around .... kneeling .... Or otherwise rearranging your body in a way that may compromise the effectiveness of the safety restraints built -in .... Which is the arm rests .... Seat belts .... Or a handrail or any other form of safety device if equipped .... or you may just end up holding on to any other life forms in your area .... After all they too are being sucked up too .... Or hell .... You may just have to just hang on for dear life on your own .... Above all .... Enjoy the ride ... And so here is another gift from the king .... Elvis Presley - " Life " .... czcams.com/video/T4cWkMXrGjo/video.html ....
{{ Elvis did EXACTLY 769 songs }} .... And he did them better than ANYONE .... ANYONE ELSE COULD .... PERIOD .... No Brag .... Just Fact .... BIG

The thing about Elvis and rock and roll is that most of the dissing on Elvis is from people who weren’t around in those early rock and roll days of the mid 50s, they never witnessed how much of a bang Elvis was when he broke on the scene
Nobody was singing black music on the pop charts other than black R&B artists so Elvis kicked down the racial barriers and Elvis was way above anyone else in the rock genre his music was different it was raw it wasn’t polished with orchestral big band sounds that was popular then, Elvis was different and everyone wanted to be him he changed music he changed fashion he change culture he changed the world and his music was amazing and he had hit after hit and he influenced everyone important in music history
He is called the King because it was him that brought rock and roll to the masses we know we had chuck Berry and little Richard but they were not making the same impact Elvis was having and that’s because Elvis was a one in a lifetime musical phenomenon and the hate towards Elvis is from the uneducated who wasn’t there to see it for themselves

Exactly, Rome. You describe his versatility and that's why this title "King of Rock'n Roll" has puzzled me for most of my life. In the past few years he was "King of Music" for me and recently I think maybe the best title for him is "King of Heart and Soul". If I remember correctly, Roy Orbison once said about Elvis: "He was the firstest with the mostest". And that's why no one will ever come close to him. All of that, plus his humbleness, definitely makes him the G.O.A.T.

Dude, you're missing the whole point of the term "king of rock-n-roll". He is considered to be "the king" because HE INVENTED IT! He put drums and guitar together for the first time and created that style of music. All elements of his style and music were borrowed or inspired from somewhere, but no one put it together until he did. He was the inspiration for everything that came after, including the Beatles and Michael Jackson. "Before Elvis, there was nothing" John Lennon

The 68 comeback special that this clip is from really showcases Elvis' musical talent. People had forgotten just how powerful of a performer he was while he was making movies in the early 60's, but when he came out in black leather and rocked out with just two guitars and a drummer using a guitar case as the drum set, people were gobsmacked. All of his rock n roll hits, but Elvis only won awards for his gospel albums.

If he would have called himself "king" he wouldn't be worthy to be called the "king". Imo he was one of the GOAT in music history and he surely gave Rock'n'Roll a big push forward. Elvis though had a larger range of musical genres than only Rock'n'Roll. He did gospel songs as well as country songs. But to me first and foremost he is a role model because of his attitude, his generosity, his humbleness and his ability to give love to everyone. There are a few singers/musicians/actors I'm more interested in than just listening to the music. One of them is Elvis. Others are Alice Cooper and Meat Loaf. I think we need good role models in life - especially in these crazy times. But the best role model is Jesus because he was and is totally without sin. Humans can only be role models in some aspects of their life. We must not forget that - especially with the "stars" and "kings" we tend to look up to.

The thing is that you are looking back at an Amazing artist who has been dead for 47 years. Personally, I think that only people who were alive back in the 1950s up to 1977, when Elvis died, could actually ‘judge’ that. I think that you have to go with who those people thought was the King of Rock ‘n Roll. You really cannot judge that from 2022, because these are different times musically & in every other way. For those of us who lived while Elvis was a superstar worldwide, we knew him to indeed be the King of Rock ‘n Roll. We were there. I became a fan as a teenager in 1960s, though I had heard Elvis on the radio since the later part of the 1950s. Lots of singers & groups have come & gone, but Elvis has remained, & there is a reason for that. He never liked being called the King, & he actually stopped singing in one of his concerts, when he was called the King & was given a crown by a fan, & he said, “Honey, I’m not the King. There is only one King & that is Jesus Christ. I’m just an entertainer” That megastar was so humble. He never elevated himself. His fans did that, & most of us have remained his fans decades after his death. And there’s a reason for that.

Elvis’ voice evolved through the three decades he was performing, & I would really Love to see you give a Reaction to An American Trilogy in his Aloha from Hawaii Live in Honolulu 1973 concert, which was the First Ever live performance to be beamed via satellite to 36 countries, with over a Billion people watching. I watched him from New Zealand, & it was so amazing to know that Elvis was actually performing on stage while I watched with my wife. And Elvis was Magnificent. So if you want to see why Elvis was called the King, please React to An American Trilogy as above. I have seen Reactors with tears rolling down their cheeks watching that performance. Rome, you just laid out the case for why he's considered the King of Rock and Roll, he could do it all, plus he's the first to do any of this, who got the explosive popularity out of it. But, Elvis was a humble man and would never classify himself as "The King", he knew who the REAL KING is!

I have a few Elvis recommendations that I hope you'll consider: "Tiger Man", "That's All Right" (alternate cut) and the Gospel Production Number (all from the '68 Comeback Special), "Make The World Go Away" (1970), and "What Now My Love" (Live 1973 Best Version!).
