    A little about me and this channel:
    My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ CZcams. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of CZcams I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on CZcams won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This CZcams channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
    What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
    Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
    Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

    He forgot the lyrics because he probably hadn't sung it in 14 years. He went in the army in 58 and started making movies for over a decade and that's why this is called the Elvis comeback special, it's a come back to live performance.

  • @ellenw391
    @ellenw391 Před 3 lety +8

    Actually he was not just sitting there chilling. The reason it became known as the 68 comeback special is he was in Hollywood making movies for 10 years. He was very embarrassed by most of them, but his manager insisted on the same money grabbing formula but I digress. He had not been on a stage singing and was scared his fans with not want him back. You can find some outtakes where you can see him physically shaking he was so scared to get on the stage for this show! And it was of course beyond amazing!!!

    After many years away from performing live, Elvis wanted to go back to doing concerts, this was his way of getting back into the swing of things, not knowing if the public -his fans still wanted him.... The Beatles , Rolling Stones, and many others had taken over the radio/tv... so Elvis did this 1968' Comeback Special with a limited audience and close to the stage... Elvis was back !!!... please react to "If I can Dream" , how he ended the show... (if you haven't seen it yet)... peace

    If you want to hear some of Elvis's sense of humor, check out Are You Lonesome Tonight Laughing version. As Elvis liked to do, he changed the lyrics mid performance, and to this one as you listen, a man in the front was swaying to the music and lifted his toupe, or hairpiece so to speak, and Elvis kinda lost it, it's classic, hilarious Elvis, and was actually a big hit in this version in England to boot!

    Elvis was the King, this concert dubbed “comeback 68” he was the king in the 50’s but after his stint in the Army and making crappy movies in Hollywood his music career over. Realizing he wanted to get back to making music they did this concert in an attempt to jumpstart his music career. It was very successful and followed for years after this was a grueling concert schedule and recording sessions. The nervousness and stopping to catch his breath and forgetting his words, was all real, his career depended on this concert and the first live performance in almost a decade. He was incredibly nervous as this was the first song in the set, he settled in and gave a magnificent performance. Still love this man and his music, people make fun of him because they didn’t know him.

  • @davidharrison1523
    @davidharrison1523 Před 3 měsíci +1

    Elvis had been doing movies for around 9 years, most of which he sang & danced in, but he had no control over what songs had would be singing, & although he was the highest paid Hollywood star, at a million dollars a movie (huge money back in the 1960s) he was frustrated & bored with being typecast as the handsome young man who always got the lady (sometimes more than one). When he went into acting, he wanted to do serious roles, but his manager decided this was the route for him to go down. So in 1968, Elvis decided to quit his lucrative acting career, & return to what he loved doing most, live performances. This was his comeback into live performances, which was televised, & I can only imagine how nervous he must have been. But Elvis never took himself too seriously, & if he forgot his lyrics, he had so much charisma & charm, that he would laugh at himself & have the audience laughing with him, & then he would just get back into singing the song. This comeback special relaunched his live performance career, which lasted 9 more years, until his death in 1977.

    I am really enjoying these reaction videos of yours, so I am going to try to see if you reacted to a band I saw in 1977.. and they out of Detroit and STILL tour ! The band is Mother's Finest, and their lp of 77 Another Muther Further did not have a bad song on it. First song would be Mickie's Monkey Baby love, Truth will set you free, Another piece of the rock..I could go on and on..laughing now to more obscure Progressive rock, I will steer you towards Traffic..Low spark of high heeled Boys, then there's Spirit..Fresh Garbage or I got a line on you.. My Dad was a Musician so I kinda got exposed to a lot of music in 58 years..lol..

    1) 1950's before the army drafted him.
    2) after getting out of the army.
    3) this video concert kicked off his 3rd career until his death.
