In this video we demonstrate the steps to take to successfully replace the shock seals on a 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 with Walker Evans Shocks. Polaris recommends that you need to change out your shock oil at around every 15,000 miles. When your RZRs shocks are due for a shock rebuild, instead of purchasing new shocks, we show you how to rebuild them yourself with the help of some specialty tools that are available at rockymountainatvmc.com .

FYI. The 2013 Polaris RZR 900xp Walker Evans edition uses a different IFP depth and pressure. The front shock is P/N 7043917 (it is a 2.0 shock) and the Polaris manual says to use 3.375 in as the IFP depth (rather than 2 7/8 as in this video) and 200psi as the pressure. I called Walker Evans and they confirmed the Polaris manual is correct for these shocks. The rears are 2.5 shocks and use the same IFP (3.375 in) and 200psi pressure.

Is a 2017 Walker Evans disassemble the same way?

How much shock oil does each shock hold? Going to do all four of mine and I’m trying to figure it how much oil to order

The only thing that leaks on mine is the top of the threaded body where it connects to the reservoir
and no videos cover that.. I'm curious how to separate without damaging the threads.

I used your shock tools and followed this video to rebuild 2015 xp1000 eps w/ Walker Evans shocks. A little puff of pressure came out of reservoir then I removed Schrader valve. I then removed snap ring to remove reservoir cap and pow.. the cap and ifp flew out. .. the charge was mixed with the oil!! The other shock I let out little puff of nitrogen, removed schrader valve, then removed the ifp bleedscrew through the schrader opening this time.
