    If contemplating buying these just do it,the difference in my XPT is ridiculous, but warning upgrade your radius rods because you will be able to push it that much harder.I learned from experience first time out with new springs it happened to me and I ended up damaging my shock,but the springs are AMAZING

    Only issue I have after installing the ST limit straps on the rear is that I needed to lower (tighten) the preload collar past the recommended 2” mark. Slight bucking issue but very happy with the springs.

    Would this be the same for the 2018 highlifter 1000 2 seat. Also what should the ride height be

  • @swhalstead
    @swhalstead Před 5 lety

    Do the crossover ring screws need locktite? I’m afraid to overtighten them but it seems like they would work loose over time. Also is it normal for the springs to make contact with the side of the crossover rings? I noticed they are resting against them when I tried to adjust mine on the car.

    What about with aftermarket tires when it comes to ride height? I have 32” terrabites on mine. So what is the front and rear ride height need to be then?

    Random question, but which brand shocks do yall feel is the best? Fox or Walker Evans? I am looking to purchase a new 2019 rzr xp1000 and noticed it has the Walker Evans vs Fox on other models.

  • @paulreid3273
    @paulreid3273 Před rokem

    Great how to video, since the springs don't come with any paper install directions. Your SPRING Compressor is cheating it works so well. I did it with various Car strut
    compressors, all which are marginal at best. Next time i'll just take the shocks to you guys to change the springs. $700 for a spring compressor when you only do it once
    or twice is not cost effective.

  • @SiredbyFire

    Is it safe to assume this applies to a 2018 xpt 2 seater as well?
    The spring and crossover dimension settings contradict each other from the website PDF instruction sheet and this video, which sure does
    cause confusion when your trying to get everything setup.
    8:01 Too bad this wasn't in 4K, I'd watch it in 4k. Great vid guys

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 5 lety

      If you 2018 Polaris RZR XP Turbo (2 seat) has Walker Evans shocks then this video will work for your UTV. The Fox shocks settings are different, and so are 2014-2016 Walker Evans shocks. Please call the shop if you have any further questions (623)217-4959. 4K will be coming in the near future!

      @@ShockTherapyllc when removing the line from the remote reservoir going to the shock, will there be an air or oil loss?
      I could be wrong here, but I see there is a valve stem type thing on the remote reservoir and wondering if it's filled with oil or air?
      If it is filled with oil or air, do I need to top it off when reconnecting the line to the shock?

    • @ShockTherapyllc
      @ShockTherapyllc  Před 4 lety

      Ryan you should never remove the resi line for any of our kits. If you are reviving the line fir some other reason like it leaks or want to change them then a full shock rebuild is in order and yes there is nitrogen and oil in the shock

    • @ShockTherapyllc

      Idaho 308 cross overs allow your springs to be proper dual rate shocks. When engaged it doubles the spring rate to give you more bottom resistance.

    Wait, at 6:20 the text says that the crossover ring is measured from the shock bridge to the cross over top, but the voice commentary says that measurement is from "the top of the bridge to the bottom of the cross over ring where the o-ring sits". Which is it?

    Your video never gives front preload initial setting.. only crossover.
