''The topic of "cars going to Malatya" is famous in Turkish football.

Feyzullah Küçük, who was in the Malatyaspor squad at that time, is the father of Zorbay Küçük, who is a referee today.
Levent Numanoğlu, father of Tugay Numan Kaanoğlu, who managed the Galatasaray - Karagümrük match, was also in the Malatyaspor squad in the same period.

idk about if they will manage to top up the quality of their league, as there were only 4-5 competitive teams only, usually only 2 of them would be there fighting for a title when you step into last 2-3 months of the league. But im sure they have a superb generation for the future. It's shame the foreign rule kept them back so long, all these youngsters came to game after they made the foreign limitations more free

That corruption scandal was an organisation's conspiracy against Fenerbahçe. It was called Gülen movement then and now officially accepted as a terrorist organisation and called Fethullah Terrorist Organisation (fetö for short). They had good relations with government and they had judges and prosecutors and police force in their pocket. They even had high ranking military officers in their command with whom they tried a coup and failed. They used to support Galatasaray openly, many of gs players and board members used to visit Gülen in America regularly. Gs's current manager Okan Buruk was one of the faithful members of terrorist organisation. Almost everyone related to that terrorist group were punished, millions of people went to jail or lost their job but only the people related to gs and ak parti remained untouched. Gs has that Galatasaray Lisesi which is a private, french founded traditional high school which graduates politicians, press members, businessman of high statue. They have immense power. There is not even one Fenerbahçe supporter press member of high statue. Even president Erdoğan who was a supporter of Fenerbahçe whole his life had to say he doesnt support Fenerbahçe anymore because of their pressure.
The prosecutor of that "scandal" fled the country because of his involvement in the coup attempt. But gs has the real power. They just used fetö then, Fenerbahçe lost many players that yesr, rose up after several years to win the title again and that time they used some other terrorists to attack Fenerbahçe bus with machine guns. Driver was shot and the bus almost flew over some cliff. After this incident almost all the starting eleven fled with minimum transfer fees, players like Nani, Kuyt, Meireles, Van Persie i am talking about.
Fenerbahçe's only power to resist this is its extremely rich supporters sponsorships and donations.
Last year Fenerbahçe had a good squad after many years but still lost the title thanks to obvious sided decisions of federation. If a referee made a decision against gs or good for Fenerbahçe, he couldnt get any matches for months. Many referees retired talking about these.
In this years presidental elections, every single powerful and rich Fenerbahçe supporter joined the board to fight against this tyranny. They even brought Mourinho who is the best manager in the world in situations like this.
If Mourinho gets an assasaination attempt in turkey dont get surprised.
Those terrorist attack against Fenerbahçe bus was not even investigated by government by the way.

Don't let some dishonest Turks tell you "it's all because of politics". It's not. It's all about greed in Turkish and Balkan football. No matter who runs the country, Club presidents in these countries always want to be more than what they are. Every single rich person in Turkey has an emperor complex. Being wealthy isn't enough for them, they also want to be carried on shoulders. And Fener, for whatever reason, is like a magnet for the worst ones. Aziz Yildirim was a straight up gangster. Ali Koc is a rich kid with political ambitions, even at the cost of destroying the club and his family fortune.

The problem is that the federation is corrupt, relies on nepotism, and does not act professionally. Therefore, the Turkish league will always remain a poor league. Go and research the yellow cards from last season. The referees were so scared that they hardly showed Galatasaray any yellow cards, even though the fouls by Torreira and others were very harsh. They should have lost more points this season. The president of the federation and his puppets also have club affiliations. All of this can be researched. Fenerbahce feels unfairly treated because of this and has protested.
The blame for the cancellation of the Super Cup match in Saudi Arabia was also placed on Fenerbahce, even though both clubs decided against it because the Saudis did not want any political symbols on the jerseys. Due to the 100th anniversary of the Republic, both clubs wanted to wear Atatürk jerseys. Both clubs opposed this and discussed it with the president of the federation. The match was then canceled, and at the end of the day, the federation president told the president of Turkey that Fenerbahce did not want it. Since then, Fenerbahce has also faced political pressure. After the scandal match in Trabzon, where Trabzonspor fans attacked Fenerbahce players, the blame was placed on Fenerbahce. Shortly afterward, mayoral elections were held in the country. The mayoral candidates expressed solidarity with Trabzonspor in Trabzon and blamed Fenerbahce to gain votes. Therefore, Trabzonspor got off very lightly. This league is unfair, full of nepotism, political puppets, and a corrupt federation.
