    In 2022 cars don't fly but we've got CZcams. Thank you, you've been super-helpful!

    Thanks a lot. I switched to a non o ring chain and it has loosened up quite a bit on a ride to the point it was making a lot of rattling noise. Cheers.

    What do you think of the gates belt kit? Good for off-roading still or just keep the stock chain?

  • @pierrevangrootenbrill7073

    hey there from Belgium. I really enjoyed your videos. Great way to explain things evven for non native english speaking persons. I recently noticed a rattle that seems to appear once i rode for a while. Rattle different from the one a slack shain may produce. Do you think it's possible that loose spokes could cause an imbalance in the wheel which in turn could produce a rattle ? BTW i checked the tension on primary drive belt, not stripped and pulleys notches cleaned on both front and rear pulleys.

      Happened to me also. I had to drill out the bolts. And i had to buy new ones. I think they were way to tight. Plus its pretty soft metal.

    why does my front spocket make so much noise...... ive tried tension too tight.. too lose... within specs... its all the same and unbearable..

    • @racespecsurron1220
      @racespecsurron1220  Před 2 lety

      Is the chain worn? How many hours has the bike been ridden? Have you tried chain lube? It may be that the chain or sprocket is worn an is causing excessive noise? Or could be the bearing in the secondary shaft that the sprocket attaches too. To check if the chain is worn by pinching the chain at the rear most section of the rear sprocket and if the chain pulls away from the rear sprocket 4-5mm then is worn. Or if chain is off the bike place the chain on its side and bend to see if it makes a tight semi circle, the further it bends the more the chain is worn. Also check the sprocket itself for wear.

      It's not his bike. He's actually stealing it! He want's to be ready to roll when the owner comes out to the garage. And WE don't know what he looks like, so we can't give a description to the police. Pretty smart.
