When you loosen the screws, is the loctite still good? Or do you just retighten back up without reapplying loctite?

This mainly isn't an issue on dirt bikes because the sprocket bolts are tapered so the sprocket is automatically centered.

Also because dirtbikes run a lot of slack

Better idea imho is taking 4 or 6 bolts with tapered heads, fasten them enough to center the sprocket, then put the regular bolts in pairs. It takes out the pseudo-science from the equation :)

On real bikes the holes have a recess for the bolt head, that has the shape of a cone. So it automatically "sinks" centered on the sprocket. I guess the Sur-Ron doesn' have this... but you could add it easily by swapping the bolts and making a recess on every hole of the rear sprocket.

Mine does this ! Does your chain go side to side with it if you look down from above at chain ? I think this has been like it from new on mine my jackshift bearing started squealing at 80 mile on the clock , but never noticed my chain like this until recently! I really hope it works for me .

@@vegasromaniac it seems to have helped the tight spot issue a lot thanks , but still some side to side movement which I think is the jackshaft bearing from having the tight spot from when it was new , still got warranty and due second service soon so hopefully it will get sorted , thanks again for uploading this video was a great help 👍👊

could i be able to loosen the bolts without the torch? and do you just tight them back by hand with the allen key?

If you are lucky and they are not locktight yes but you can strip a bolt and you gonna hate yourself

I never realized the sprocket doesn't center itself, I always run my chain with a little play. Check your belt they come way to tight from factory and will destroy your jackshaft bearings

You're providing a good fix for a poor design from China.The fastener heads should be countersunk heads like on properly engineered motorcycles. This ensures concentricity of sprocket to hub. If you want to fix it
permanently, you could easily drill Countersink holes in the sprocket holes (unless the sprocket is too thin) and buy some countersunk head fasteners.
Otherwise,
You could use a dial indicator to locate the sprocket concentrically and then drill 2 holes for mounting it in the correct position with spring pins.
