They're so simple but they go with so many Georgian dishes!

I have become the queen of badrijani nigvzit among my friends thanks to your newsletter. Can I serve these alongside the eggplant rolls, or are they strictly eaten as a meal (as opposed to an appetizer)?

I'm so happy you like the badrijani nigvzit! Mchadi is typically served alongside lobio (a stewed bean dish) but I see no reason why you couldn't make and serve them alongside whatever you'd like :)

If you want to be a real queen say "Nigvziani badrijani". We don't say badrijani nigvzit in Georgian. Grammatically its correct but its not used like that. Enjoy :)

You can serve it with anything. Mchadi is not eaten as a separate meal. We usually have it with lobio (beans) together with some pickled vegetables.
