There was too much baking soda and butter. Try using half the butter and a tweezer sized amount of baking soda. Put the BS with the butter first so it’s mixed thoroughly

Please rename your recipe to homemade garlic mayonnaise. Unfortunately, it is NOT an aioli. Aioli is made with garlic, oil, and salt. That’s where the name comes from-“ai” for garlic and “oli” for oil. There is no egg in an aioli. I’m sorry, but you are doing your viewers a disservice by spreading misinformation.

It would be the kind of bread. Some varieties of black bread really are that!
Yeah I'd probably use less water maybe 300 ml or use heavy cream but this is definitely a handier way of making good soup thanks

Sometimes the simplest option is the best! The time doesn't bother me, as long as it's fairly passive. I just have to remind myself to start with the onions before the rest of my prep. I typically use my dutch oven, which is enamel coated, but I might have to try a uncoated cast iron next time.
I'm the same way - I don't care how long it takes so long as I don't have to be constantly hovering over it!

Thank you for posting a candy recipe w/o corn syrup. BTW, could this be made with a drink mix like Wylies or Kool Aid? You could liquify before hand and they're so much cheaper and easier to find.

Sometimes it's made with hazelnuts, but it's most common with walnuts. You could use either in this recipe 😊
This is tamarind paste, it's just ground up tamarind. Not a concentrate. Concentrate is usually refined. This isn't.

I usually soak dry besns overnight, like 12 hours, before I boil them in fresh water

The beans took 35 minutes to cook after the soak! Apologies for any confusion. But how long dried beans take to cook can depend a lot on lots of different factors - from the type of bean to the age of the beans 😊

What isn’t making sense is that you believe this is the correct cooking time for a properly cooked pot a bean; using your technique or not. Just shows you can’t be trusted necessarily because you’re coming off a a mediocre cook and not like a Paula Dean type that is giving short cuts with delicious results.

Apologies for the confusion - every kind of bean will likely take different lengths of time to cook. The "quick soak" should always be around an hour, but the cook time can vary depending on how old the beans are, the type of bean, etc. So that's what I meant when I said that these took 35 minutes 😊

It's a recipe for homemade aioli- not garlic grated into prepared mayonnaise 😊
@@NoFrillsKitchen but Aioli isn't mayo, you're just making homemade mayo, Aioli is Garlic, oil, lemon, and Salt, no Egg and no Herbs (adding herbs will make it a toum, adding egg will make it mayo)

I would not recommend using brown sugar as it will not behave in the same manner as white 😊
